I train with a specialization in aggression. I love pits, and am very active in supporting them at the state level where I live. HOWEVER, I do not like PETA one bit. They are radicals who, if you really took a look at some of the things they do, are in a way more dangerous to animals than some. I mean, where do you think the blood they get to throw on people wearing mink coats comes from? I'm pretty sure it ain't human blood. Just felt the need to throw it out there.

Why does it cost Best Friends $30 million a year and they only house 1,500 animals? If you multiplied what Villabalobos cost a year by 10 it would only amount to a little less then 3 million.

Caring for society's abandoned animals means paying staff to feed, water, walk, socialise, and maintain disease-free cages, as well as vet services.
You find these numbers difficult to believe because you have never set foot inside a shelter.

Best Friends only house around 7 times what Villalobos does, not including staff. Best Friends have a lot of money too, but they actually deserve it, hsus does not deserve the money they have. @CDLver Some of the things that Peta and HSUS believe is just ridiculous. For one, they are against all hunters. Well if you do the research you would know that hunters actually help. They actually conserve and preserve the animals. 80% of the money that national parks and wildernesses get, come from the hunters. Do you know what would happen to deer if there was no hunters? There would be millions of them starving to death. There would be many more deaths from hitting deer on the roads.

Peta supports Breed Specific Legistration which I do not understand. This guy is great for trying to end dog fighting. Pitbulls are banned where I'm from (not from Somalia) because of dog fighting! Pit bulls are wonderful obediant loving dogs.

LoL YES, I DO I see dogs everyday walking the Streets- Labs, GS, Pits but mostly small dogs. More dogs are Euthenized than being born, more dogs are being born w/out homes, than the ones with homes. There are more than 4 Shelters in my City( not counting the Rescues) and all of them are full, not enough kennels or help to save these dogs.

I've done my research on the HSUS, and based on what I know, not what I've read on some blog from a dog breeder, the HSUS spends tens of millions of dollars every year combating animal abuse and exploitation. Not only shelter dogs and cats, but ALL animals around the world -- factory farmed animals, fur-bearing animals, circus animals, and wild and free-roaming animals.

@MzTexasRaised, there are 6,000 USDA licensed breeding mills paying taxes. Pennsylvania generates $40 million per year selling puppy mill dogs. And still, thousands more operate without license, and on the internet there is no oversight at all of breeders, backyard or otherwise. There are too many breeding mills and not enough USDA inspectors to ensure that they operate within the law, whether the kennel is licensed or not.

I train with a specialization in aggression. I love pits, and am very active in supporting them at the state level where I live. HOWEVER, I do not like PETA one bit. They are radicals who, if you really took a look at some of the things they do, are in a way more dangerous to animals than some. I mean, where do you think the blood they get to throw on people wearing mink coats comes from? I'm pretty sure it ain't human blood. Just felt the need to throw it out there.

You find these numbers difficult to believe because you have never set foot inside a shelter.

LoL YES, I DO I see dogs everyday walking the Streets- Labs, GS, Pits but mostly small dogs. More dogs are Euthenized than being born, more dogs are being born w/out homes, than the ones with homes. There are more than 4 Shelters in my City( not counting the Rescues) and all of them are full, not enough kennels or help to save these dogs.

And still, thousands more operate without license, and on the internet there is no oversight at all of breeders, backyard or otherwise. There are too many breeding mills and not enough USDA inspectors to ensure that they operate within the law, whether the kennel is licensed or not.
We can only stop killing animals if we stop breeding MORE of them.

@CDLver Do you work for HSUS? They don't give any money to animal shelters, in fact they will charge them money just to come and tell them how they need to run their shelter. They don't have any animal shelters either. Even if they did have five shelters that is like nothing to HSUS. They have enough money to support all the animal shelters in the U.S. with money to spare.

@JvVar2120, you clearly have no idea what it cost to operate, humanely house, and care for shelter animals, not just stack them like oranges in crates.
Best Friends, the epitome of what a no-kill animal shelter should be, has an annual budget of $30 million dollars, and they can only house and care for 1,500 dogs, cats, and other animals at one time. Villalobos Pit Bull Rescue houses 200 pit bull dogs at a cost of 800 dollars per day.

@JvVar2120, animal research does not save human life, it takes human life. No animal test method in use today has been scientifically validated to determine its reliability and relevance to humans.

If you support them, they make profit off of your donations, or if you're against them, you have to worry about them taking and killing your animals. I think you represent HSUS very well b/c it's obvious you care more about animals then people. I'm a regular American citizen and HSUS is my enemy. @CDLver HSUS gets like $100 million a year in donations. That goes to lobbying,advertizing and to push their agenda on the American people. They are hurting this country in the name of profit, they don't care about animals or people, they figured out it is easy to get people to donate to them for animals.

Yes, Huskies are chained, but then Ran for Hours to Days at a time. So I ask you, does he WORK his WORKING BREED ? So, why was the HSUS involved & not the Local Authority ? HSUS and Local Human Shelters are NOT the same thing, way was HSUS, involved ? They normally don't get involved unless there are A LOT of complaints - Did he sell a lot of Infected/Sick pups ? He is a part of a " Puppy Mill "? Was he a Suspect of a Dog fighting ring ? All dogs will try to stand up for us if we were are in danger even if they are tea cup size, trust me i have seen it. so all i am saying lets fight for the dogs to live not the other way around. and yes fight the law too they have been wrong befor.

@JvVar2120 With Shelters all over the US being filled w/ more than 60% capacity of just Pit Bulls, yes most of them are watered down & when I say that, I mean the parents or parent's parents were neither used for Dog Fighting and so forth. There are more Backyard Breeders than there are True Dogmen. There are more people will to pay $25 than Thousands for a gamedog, it's simple. Of course you won't pay for Training, your dog is for Profit reasons only !

I absolutely do not know what blood my dogs are- what part of Resuce do you not understand ? I saved these dogs before they were euthenized, bcus of breeders & fighters .
