  • Where do you buy all your raw food. Not the meat but the tripe and lungs and all that. And is it too terribly expensive?

  • where do you get these

  • i just taught my dog the "wait and Eat" commands :D

    so awesome

  • Thanks for this great video! You're dog is very cute too. I have a few questions, how much should I feed my dog? Does it go by weight? Mine is 17ish pounds. And how often? Twice a day? Or one bowl of what you just made and raw meaty bones? Thanks again man =)

  • i heard that leaving the egg shells in the food was beneficial for them too. any feedback?

  • I can feed your dog the egg shell, is just fine!

  • I'm wanting to put my dog on a raw diet, but I'm hesitant because we go camping a lot and for a week or more at a time. i know i can keep her on it with my own cooler and frozen meat but probably won't because of my grandmother. lolz! but i'm worried it won't be safe to feed her it for whatever reason so would it be fine to keep her on a kibble)(small amounts) so that she will have food for those times. Will that harm her? I wouldn't change it abruptly obvoiusly, but still. i'm curious.

  • @musicfreak6730 You can buy a canned raw diet - it's expensive, but it is almost equally beneficial. I ran into this same issue. It should be sold in any boutique pet shop.

  • I've a great dane puppy, she is about 55 days old, so cna you please tell me when i can start feeinf RAW DIET.

  • That's a great dog there! really considering feeding my English Mastiff raw, at the mo hes eating 12-14 cups of dry food a day and its a premium one too so very expensive, he is 10 months old160lbs. I do give him raw chicken breast cut up into pieces as treats every day though. Great video. Thanks

  • dude youve got some serious chop skills

  • Is raw okay for puppies?

  • HOW MANY TIMES A DAY TO YOU FEED YOUR DOG THIS FOOD.......PLEASE REPLY....

  • Lucky dog.. this is how all dogs should be fed! Au Natural!

  • There's only a couple problems with this.

First off, you shouldn't chop the stuff up. Whole slabs of meat that they have to chew/tear helps improve muscle in their jaws/neck.

Second, Dogs don't need vegtables of ANY kind. Look at their teeth...those are carnivour teeth, not omnivour teeth.

Third, he needs bone. Dogs need 10% bone, 10% organ, and 80% meat.

    Great looking dog, though.

  • @adrixx1995

Couple problems? you mentioned three here, lol.

Its not good to feed slabs of meat all the time. Chopping still allows chewing, makes packing easy, and how else are you going to mix all those ingredients together.

And don't take that 10 10 80 formula too seriously, as long as they get what the body needs within a week thats fine. Leave the formula's for your chemistry class! lol

By the way, dogs do need vegetables, why else do they graze on grass in the wild.

  • @stunner4500 Who said that I was doing the 80/10/10 thing strictly? Nobody.

Yes, it is good to feed slabs of meat all the time. Even better to feed whole, large prey. It is mental stimulation, it is a good jaw/neck workout, unlike feeding chopped up meats. Chopped up meats do not clean teeth the same way that larger pieces do. Also, chopped up meats making it easy for a dog to gulp their food.

Again, they don't need vegtables. Dogs are NOT omnivoures.

    rawfed.com/myths/omnivores.html

  • @adrixx1995 Thats right, dogs are not omnivores and the vegetables are not meant to be a food source, they are used for cleansing and detox purposes (chlorophyll is the best known antioxidant). Remember its only Leafy greens/ wheat grass that i recommend.

  • @stunner4500 You do realize that WHEAT is one of the leading causes of food allergies in dogs, right? You do know that veggies and wheat grass contain carbs. In dogs, carbs feed cancers, and are inflamitory(hence why so many dogs have problems with them). Dogs do not have the digestive enzymes in their saliva that begins the process of breaking down plant matter. This puts a strain on the entire GIT, especially the pancreas.

  • @stunner4500 Do one thing? Join this Facebook group. It is a group of over 6,000 people...The largest raw-feeding Facebook group that there is. They know anything and everything about feeding raw...Tell them why you think that dogs need these leafy greens...I'm honestly curious as to what their response would be.

    facebook.com/groups/261761471359/

  • @adrixx1995 Not true dogs need some minerals found in plants, and when a wolf makes a kill they always eat the intestines which are full of plant matter! and Wolves will eat grass in small amounts!

  • @5tonyvvvv That is a myth, that they eat the intestinal contents. When a wolf makes a kill, they eat everything but the stomach/intestines. Then they shake out the contents of the stomach and intestines and eat the actual stomach/intestine walls, they do not consume the matter inside of them.

And yes, they do eat grass in small amounts. Just like your dog does in your back yard.

    rawfed.com/myths/stomachcontents.html

  • @adrixx1995 Not a myth, Wolves eat the intestines and some of the digested food inside it! Go ask sheep farmers in Montana!

  • Great video and I do agree with you dogs will and should eat fruit / veg and leafy greens. Dogs are carnivourus omnivours exactly the same as us ! look at their dental structure, and their digestive system.

  • @k9listenerlincs you have to be careful about vegetables and fruit though. Many fruits are toxic to dogs especially citrus and grapes. And most dogs could care less for them anyway. My Bulldogs love carrots and celery in their mix though.

  • That is one healthy, focused and handsome boy you got there.

  • is tripe the pancreas?

  • He talks about bones.. you weren't listening? eh. How come you said that leafy greens are the only veg you should be feeding? I feed mine carrots and broccoli, I'd heard they were good. Is this wrong? Luckily I live in Indonesia, it's easy to get organs and tripe as the locals eat almost anything, and waste no parts of the animal. Cyrus is very well behaved.. such an awesome relationship you guys have.

  • Hello what is green tripe? from what animal?

  • No one told me that tripe was so foul, I almost died when I opened the bag :)

  • so i guess dogs dont really need carbs like veggies and fruits, huh?

  • Ninja with a knife!

  • Well done, and Cyrus is a very good student!

  • Love the Video and Sireus too :-) I'm in a small town where it's hard to find or get whole Organs like you have or even the Green Tripe.. Can I get another type of Tripe?

  • @texangirl1964 Talk to your local butchers and farmers and see what you can get, any tripe from a "herbivore" will be good, never feed pork cuz pigs are omnivores.

Email me if you have any questions about the stuff you find in your town.

  • @stunner4500 Nice video, how many of those size portions would you feed you dog per day and how long can you store these ingredients in your fridge before they go bad?

  • Nice recipe. How much does the dog weigh in the video.?What's the ratio for feeding a dog? How often a day do you feed your dog? Have you ever had any problems with getting sick from handling raw meat?thanks

  • Oh thank god, glad that was beef tongue as opposed to what It looks like and what I thought it was!!!

  • wow! now that made me hungry

  • my dog will just eat the meats HELP

  • That's like WAAAYYY too much for 1 feeding...

  • @MaribelLopez425

You see what type of dog that is, and how big it is? Maybe too much for your little dogs.

  • @MaribelLopez425 Really? Did you happen to LOOK at Cyrus and see what kind of shape he's in? He looks pretty good to me. Maybe YOU should post a video of you feeding YOUR dogs so we can see what a 'proper' feeding is.

  • I'm looking at getting an 18 month old dog from a rescue. He has only been fed grocery store kibble crap. How would you go about switching him over to raw?

p.s thanks for the informative videos!

  • Barf is ecxellent, but please change the collar to your hond and use the positive reinforcement or clickertraining.

    Good diet and video.

  • nice ingredients but where is the bone? you almost know what you're talking about.

  • @johnchillin24 I feed bone-in stuff on there own and in whole form like in my other videos.

  • @stunner4500

why post a video where a major portion of the diet is missing? your ingredients look good but throw some more bone in here so you won't confuse new raw feeders.

  • Like if you would feed this to your pitbull.

  • Thats a happy dog.

  • Where is the best place to obtain these meats? also, do you freeze the meats before you feed them to your dog?

  • what did you say that last thing was?

  • that is a GORGEOUS shepherd.. big clear eyes, beautiful coat, definitely sold on feeding my animals a raw diet after seeing this.

  • For a large breed dog puppy (8 weeks) dogo argentingo...where should i start to feed him raw? What kind of meats? can i mix the types up? how many times a day....I hear feeding raw to puppy large breeds is bad?

  • @kingoftroy05 Start as soon as possible and feed 3 times a day, but only one animal source at a time (bones, organs, and muscle meat). Rotate with different animal sources in different meals.

Feeding a large breed dog raw food is actually highly recommended, since it allows a natural growth rate, and prevents skeletal problems caused by kibble feeding.

  • @stunner4500 Do for when he is 8 weeks old do i feed him 2% body weight at that age or the weight he is going to be as an adult? how is beef, chicken, and pork and maybe lamb for the diet with some leafy greens and a egg? and should i give tripe every meal?

hahah sorry for all the questions, I am a first time ownder and it is hard to find info online!

    thank you!

  • @kingoftroy05 2% of body weight is feeding recommendation for an adult dog, for a growing pup you need something like 10%. But these are just general guide lines, each dog is different and feeding amounts is mainly determined by metabolism and activity level.

Try to feed green tripe as much as possible. Beef, lamb, and chicken are all good but never feed pork.

  • Barf is the way rawared nuff said :)

  • lol he wants more!

  • Sometimes raw food looks so damn good to eat. I wish humans could eat it as is. Beautiful dog you have.

Your dog is lucky to have you in his life

  • HOw do I do that... I started my 3 1/2 month old Dobe puppy on raw by giving him raw chicken breast without bone at this time and raw 73 % hamburg for his evening meal.. for breakfast he has Blue Wilderness Natural Evolutionary Diet The Duck every morning except Sunday when he has the Blue Wilderness Natural Evolutionary Diet the Salmon and now I want to give him raw every evening. But he now has diarrhea. Is this because of the newness of the raw? Can you give a puppy starting place?

    .

  • @Brooksmom2011 Wow there is a whole lot of things wrong here. I don't know where to start......First of, boneless breast !!?? not only is that too expensive, its not that good for the dog either. Also what do you mean 73% hamburger? don't tell me you mixed that with the chicken! Ground meat should only be used for the weaning stage and small breed dogs. And finally your biggest mistake is, confusing the dogs system by feeding kibbles. There is not enough space to type here, u need to call/email

  • @Brooksmom2011 : If you're dog or cat is having diarrhea, you should talk to the vet. The doctor will tell you what the REAL problem is. It's too early to blame it on the food. All dogs and cats are carnivores. It's only natural for them to eat raw foods like chicken, fish, and other meats. Have you seen tigers and wolves eat dry food from the store? Nope. They hunt for their own food. So take your adorable puppy to the animal doctor and ask for his advice. Good luck.

  • Why are you chopping? No need to chop up anything, better for the dog to eat it in as whole a state as possible. why did you throw away the egg shell? Shells should be fed with the egg! Full of wonderful trace minerals and fed with the rest of the egg- perfect balance of calciium/phosphours...

  • @thewholedog How else would you mix those ingredients together.........(chopping is ok, grounding is not good) Its bone-in meals that need to be fed in whole form so that they do not choke on the bones.

My dogs will not naturally eat egg shells, and i noticed that it does not get digested either.

  • @stunner4500 - You don't need to mix them together. I never do. I pitch everything in the bowl and let my chihuahua mix go through it all on her own. The tearing apart helps slow them down so they don't do the "hoarfing" thing your dog did right there and potentially choke on smaller bones or meat fragments. My chihuahua had a hard time learning to slow down (and choked once) so we started her on frozen meats to teach her and gradually worked into fresh. She now takes her time w/ breakfast.

  • Why is this making me hungry....

  • were can i find green tripe?

  • Beautiful dog too by the way, probably has a lot to do with his diet. That looked like a big meal, I'm assuming he only eats once a day?

  • @jeffgard Thanks, yes that was the only meal of the day. He doesn't eat this great everyday, mainly he gets smaller meals twice a day.

  • @stunner4500 : Wow. You treat your dog very well. He's a beautiful dog. I'm glad you love him very much. I feed my cat and dog raw chicken and fish. My dog loves chewing on the whole chicken. He loves the bones. It cleans his teeth.

  • Good video man

  • That actually looks apetitizing lol

  • you could open a cafe for dogs' raw eatings, you could earn a lot from it.

  • just meat...no rice for carbs or bread..

  • Please show more videos of what you feed him.

  • Comment removed

  • Where do you get the fresh heart, tongue, tripe etc.? I don't have a butcher nearby and the ones in the grocery stores get their meat pre-gutted. :(

  • lol i laugh everytime i see his face while waiting, and well trained dog

  • @Maliraptor2009 dogs do eat a tiny ammount of fiber in the wild, from either the bellies of their prey or fruit form trees even some plants......

  • @comeseeben That is mostly when food was scarse. Its a tiny amount and its fine to include once a week. I dont include it at all...

  • @Maliraptor2009 Just be careful with the egg shells and other bone stuff as the freshness determines digestibility.

  • @stunner4500 Umm, no it doesnt. I have fed my dog 5 day old chicken quarters and he digested them just fine. Wolves in the wild can pick on prey over the course of a week and they are fine to

  • @Maliraptor2009 LOl, you didn't get my point. First of all, 5 day old chicken would still be pretty fresh. Im talking about 3 month old chicken eggs (since they get repackaged over and over again) or 2 week old backs/necks. And you cant just assume that everything wolves do in the wild is also safe for dogs. Im sure it has happened many time that a wolf has died because of what it ate out of desperation. There still a lot we need to learn about raw feeding and we have to consider all variables.

  • @stunner4500 Well yeah, anyone who feeds 2 week old necks and month old eggs shouldnt be feeding a raw diet at all lol

  • Where can you get green tripe from?

  • @Fr3edom89 yep...the first day, she just looked at the chicken, sniffed & looked at me as tho to say, "dude, what the heck is this?" but, now she gobbles up chicken, beef, bones...she loves beef heart, but hates liver. she won't touch the liver at all. i'm having no luck getting her to lap up the apple cider vinegar smone suggested for enzyme supplement...i think i'll have to buy those...

  • so, will the dog start "looking" at us a bit differently after starting on this diet?? lol

  • this is amazing! im feeding raw too

  • I would drop the greens all together, cut the tongue and heart in half not chopped up, and give the egg whole with the shell for a minor calcium boost in your non-bone meals. Just a few suggestions. (I have been feeding my girls prey model raw for about 5 months now, and have had a lot of help with it.)

  • @shadowfax123 Trust me, greens are very important especially during the winter months when they have no access to grass. Wolves have been observed eating grass both after and before each meal. Greens are very important for intestinal health, and it helps neutralize the acidic environment caused by a constant meaty diet.

By the way I have noticed that my dogs prefer to avoid the egg shells, and when I do trick them into eating it, they end up with a poop covered with egg shell.

  • @stunner4500 - Great video and very informative, including the one with the rabbit. I have a question.

How did you feed cyrus when he was teething? did you just chop the food more finely or ??

I would like to know. Cause my pet GSD is coming home in 2 weeks.

  • @shadowfax123 I give my girl a carrot stick after each meal.

  • Where do you find green tripe?

  • I'm very interested in this raw feeding method, could you tell me some of the benefits to doing this. By the way, I love your German Shepard, Ours sadly and unexpectedly passed away a little over a month ago. Seeing your dogs eyes reminds me of our big guy.

  • I love speed chopping

  • As much as it pains me to have to buy meat, being a vegetarian, I totally agree with your statement, "Our pets did not choose to live with us we brought them to ours lives and they deserve to be feed the way nature intended."

What would you suggest for small breeds? I have a 4lb Yorkshire Terrier with a bitty mouth in my care.

  • @SociallyLiberated I personally have never kept a small breed dog and I am not sure how they react to this type of feeding. I would say that the best thing would be to ground the food or cut into smaller pieces and avoid anything with bones. That being said I do know of people who have had success feeding toy breeds raw. But remember toy breeds have a weaker system and the ingredients need to be as fresh as possible and take precaution when buying raw meat from your local grocery store.

  • Great video. I learned a lot

  • So I must ask. I've been doing much research on feeding a raw diet. My main thing here is why the plant material? Dogs are carnivores and do not have the proper enzymes to even digest plant material. And i'm also curious about how internal and external protein differs? And out of curiosity, is Cyrus's stool small and dust like? Not malanderous like a kibble fed dog? It just seems like you fed him alot. Not bashing here, just curious. I am for raw feeding. Its just common snese.

  • @GoddesssOfDarknesss You are absolutely right i cannot disagree with you. When it comes to feeding dogs vegetables, you have to remember that dogs and wolves occasionally graze on grass before or after a meal to aid there system with the passing of the stool. I do not mix vegetables that often and when i do, its during the winter when they have no access to greenery. Cyrus's stool is usually small, but its not dust like since i avoid excess bone.

  • @stunner4500 Yes, i've read how occasionally wolves will graze on grass. I understand now. Anywho, Cyrus is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

  • @stunner4500 Wolves in the wild always eat the prey from the inside out, the interior muscle meat is always easier to digest, and a meal that big is ok for Cyrus, since its mainly green tripe. However i don not feed him meals like this everyday. Excess food can cause diarrhea, but Cyrus was ok after that. But the same cannot be said for all dogs.

  • word thanks for the my gsd is almost 3 months when should i change her diet to this

  • Honorable sir- I have a puppy with chronic diarrhea-diet has changed too many times-would you recommend green tripe by itself or a mixture similar to that which you fed Cyrus until the problem dissipates?

  • @tosatodd Definitely green tripe by it self for now. Cyrus used to suffer from chronic diarrhea, green tripe saved his life.

  • seems like way to much protein no? they can eat the egg shells as well..great source of calcium

  • @zeeshan66 Ya egg shell is a good idea. The tripe is also a good source of calcium.

This is a big meal and the only one he will get for the day but the too much protein you talking about is harmful if you provide it in the form of exterior muscle meat, thats why animals in nature always eat the insides first.

  • @stunner4500 i see. what are the protein differences between interior and exterior meat?

  • @zeeshan66 The main problem is that its a concentrated source of protein and it takes a lot longer to digest which can ferment in the body and lead to diarrhea.

  • seems like way to much protein no?

  • IF YOU WANT ANY ADVICE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH A DOG ...THIS IS YOUR GO TO GUY!

nice video saeed...cyrus is a movie star now hahahah ;)

  • This is how to fukin feed a GSD i got my puppy today hell yeah

  • AMAZING man EVERYONE SUBSCRIBE TO STUNNER!!!!!

  • Great video. I'm picking up my new puppy on Tuesday and I'm going to start him on a raw food diet. I've been researching and doing a lot of homework on the raw diet. Haven't heard anything bad about the diet so I'm gonna give it a try.

  • Thats great, its always best to get them started at an early age for proper development and therefore less problems in the future. However you have to remember that in nature pups receive regurgitated food from there mother and therefore you should only offer ground food until the dentition is complete. I highly recommend that you use a grounded whole carcass type of food.
