I heard the "finger out of trigger guard" was to to do with kicks and shoves but "shocks" that could just be being surprised by sudden and unexpected movement, a bang or anything that gives that finch response.

I have this DVD.. if you are considering running an AK variant for protection or any other serious application.. you should buy this DVD. Don't think, just go to the Gospel Of Violence website and but it. If you sit down and watch what Sonny teaches it will save you months of trial and error and give you the most logical, common sense approach to running an AK.

I want to be truthful. I have 3 rifles. 2 of the AR-15 series and a AK-74. All of the bullets are small and that is all I need. I like the 74 as well. Not being discrimative, but I like them all. They are fine weapons.

@ELITEWAFFLES9 5.45. Less recoil, more range, sightly more accurate, not to mention, cheaper and lighter, more penetration, and it still does it's thing dropping people in two shots.

@gospelofviolence 2012, that is too late that is when the world (or at least the west) is scheduled to end. There are mixed reviews about Beyond the Firearm 2, but I think it was as food as an investment for me as it was buying my AK-74. Thanks for sharing decades of experience with those of us that care about learning these skills.

It's scary imagining what Sonny and his Spetsnaz brethren had to endure in training! I've heard some crazy stories, eg about pools of rotten guts and not being allowed to wipe or flinch... and I'm sure that's far from the worst of it.

This video is worth twice the price if you are the type of person that re examines dogma and is constantly seeking to increase and refine your skill set with the AK series. Even better , train with Sonny sometime. His schedule is on his website. I have been to two of his classes and never regretted a moment of it.
