The music is fantastic and they've hit a real super groove that the radio would eat up but this English singer or punk singer or whatever, they suck bad. It was my first thought. A speaking part here or there is fine but when it sounds like Sugarcubes which ruled with Bjork and then that dork would come in with his silly words. @Horticulturist FINALLY - Something to say. I agree with you in that sense. Black Keys are NOT obscure though, 9 albums in already and highly regarded. They are the band other bands hire to listen to.

I do not care much for punk or post punk really. I remember when The Clash broke up, it sucked bad. That's who this guy sounds like, so in that sense, I can listen and appreciate to some point. Just wish they were a little more clean and to the point with their musical aims. Great riffs n such tho

A little Clash and then the spin-off from them where the one singer made his own one man band, it is was GOOD but the singing he did was plain like Lou Reed and there was little attempt at sounding really good. For some reason it sounds like they are trying to sing in some way or something and it just doesn't translate for me.It sounds too much like said in my other post like the guy from Sugarcubes (Bjork)
