  • Hello Danny8bit. Have you ever playing Atari800Win+ online? I've tried it only once (online) & it worked great. The only problem is actually finding people to play with. I was just wondering if you might be interested in playing Atari800/5200 online sometime. I also like to play Commodore 64, Atari 2600, Intellivision, Nintendo & MAME. Let me know. :-)

  • Awsome game on the Atari 800 xl system.

  • hahaha, i remember he was a caddy and you have to go fetch the golfballs. awesome. i actually like running around as a caddy a lot better than being a frog jumping all over the road, so i prefer this game over frogger. preppie kicks butt!!!

  • this helped a litttle

  • sí

  • hah, brings back beatiful memories. i still haven't found a better game than preppie! and preppie 2. for me that's what computer gaming is about. i remember though i used to prefer the sequel when i was younger (maybe for the cutscenes :) ) but now it's the original all the way. brilliant design and color palette, and memorable tune.

i'm still having a go, never managed to get past level 8 though.

  • Wow, nice playing there. Almost inspires me to program a remake of it in Gamemaker...

  • It's definitv a frogger clone. But a nice work. The music is verry great!!!

  • what is your problem

  • What are your thoughts on Jews?

  • One other thing: when you get up to around level 10, the buggies and canoes are about half as wide. I think the speed was around where it's at at level eight. Well I'm going to keep trying! not going to let my age (49) destroy a great memory! Not if I can help it!

  • Well, this is a treat A great game Preppie! I had this with the Atari 400 (cassette version) It used to take around 30 minutes to load! Well, I have the emulator today with an Xbox wireless remote (vast improvement over the 80 clunky joysticks).

This is interesting, if I remember correctly my highest score ever was around 70k, so I went up to around level 11, and that's where the levels ended! Let me tell you though: you've got me beat today! ha ha! Today, I cant even get past level 5!

  • heeeeeeeey..!!

anybody knows where can i play this game online...!!!

    i still remember that..!!

    :)

  • I still have the original cart or was it tape hhmm + packing for this . I remember a rally game which i had also sold by the same people, that I do remember being a cart though, rally x or something

  • Looks like frogger stole the gameplay mechanic from this game!

  • This was my first game ever on Atari 400!

I still remembered the music after 25 years, but I was never been able to listen to it until now!

    Thanks!!

  • heh, i remember this game, along with preppie 2, always had great music for its time.

  • Yes, that tune for Preppie! is simply delightful. Can you remember how far you got on Preppie!?

I still like having the odd go, trying to get to a higher level, but it takes over ten minutes to get as far as I have...

  • wow, honestly cant remember, but to be honest, I think you made it farther than I ever did. Were there any other special additions after level 8? Love the expanding ran-over effect too, heh.

Preppie 2 was a pacman type clone wasnt it? You had to paint the screen full and avoid the lawnmower guys again. Thats if I remember correctly.

I miss the atari 8 bit days. Good times.

In the merry merry month of may!

  • The music is compiled of two or three old songs, from the early 1900's. I recognize "While Strolling Through The Park One Day", and "Down Among The Sheltering Palms". It was a great idea to use those songs!
