What just hit me: the words " nothing to fear" There was an instrumental with this title which Martin Gore has written in 1982 for DM...So, in the end it might proof difficult for Dave to step out of this ovewhelmingly big shadow of Mart... well, understandable...

I don't think that Dave Gahan live in the shadow of Gore even that his entire life they are members of a same band. I think that we grow as a song writer and a composer during his years in DM. Even so, his a great musician.
