  • i've been juicing for a month now too. Maybe I should do a video...

    I thought that much fruit (sugar) would curb the weight loss but apparently that is not the case. I usually stick to 1 apple and 1 lemon with my celery, cucumber, carrot, kale, and ginger. That's enough to make it palatable. I find the cucumber to be over powering as well, I'll try peeling it next time, thanks!!

    Have you tried any other vegetables and found it appetizing? I tried fennel, broccoli (good) and cabbage (bad).

  • I recently watched, Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. After doing so, I began researching videos on juicing. You offer very clear explanation of steps. It is amazing how much weight one can loose. What is the average cost that you spend on juicing per day in american dollars?

  • pls realize he is focusing on presentation. Just grab the veggies you bought from Kroger yesterday and jam them into the juicer. As you go you will learn which skins you need to cut off. I have been doing this for about a month and a half and the results have been extraordinary. I juice vegetables and fruits separately expecting vegetables to be gross and fruits to be okay.

    Don't worry about buzzwords like detox. Just add the juice.

  • Enjoyed this video, I like seeing how others do their juice fast, and congratulations on sticking to it for so long, hope to be doing the same very soon. Could you tell me which brand of juicer you use? Mine is a good one but has a narrow top for putting in the veges so everything needs to be cut up real small, I like the wide top on yours.

  • @BlueBROWNPRIDE you are not supposed to do it for every meal. U eat other food and do juicing for maybe one meal a day.

  • ive just started juicing for about 5 days and i feel hungry still after 2 cups for breakfast 2 cups for lunch and 2 cups for dinner is that normal and will i get used to it or not

  • Hey! Have you tried - fast abs magic (google it)? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my brother in law got beautiful 6 pack abs and lost lots of weight with it.

  • That's a lot of acidic fruits. You need more veggies, This recipe isn't bad for a mid day kicker, but that is all. Also if you read your juicer instructions, it says to turn fully on before inserting.

  • The skin is very important and is full of nutrients , you should really keep the skin on atleast the cucumber

  • @maffia440 lemons turn alkaline in the body when they are metabolized. Most fruits and greens turn alkaline in the body.

  • I love watching your videos! I'm into day 15 of my 30 day juice fasting experience. I might extend it if I feel like I'm still benefitting. I'm doing it more for overall health then weightloss but I already feel like a new and improved person. My one question is, how many ounces per day of juice do you consume? I'm drinking about 60oz a day plus water. Thanks for the inspirational videos!

  • I agree with MrSupasexi - Breville states that you should have the motor running before you drop any fruits or veggies into the juicer - otherwise, you can ruin the machine.

  • @Farrah747 I never worried about it frankly, my juicer is powerful enough to handle them and I never had a seed in my juice from memory.

  • @overwhelmingtraffic It's not that, consuming too many apple seeds can cause cyanide poisoning. you consume amygdalin every time you crush them. I am unsure how much it takes to really make you sick but, I would be careful. :)

  • @marleymarl0 I suggest you check out my "channel" email for full results (weight loss and health). Basically a LOT has changed. Blood pressure normal, cholesterol normal, massive weight loss, asthma gone (to name a few things). For the juice fast I didn't have much in the way of fibre. This is generally ok for a specific period of time. I am no longer juicing as I went for 56 days only but am still doing well after the juice fast. Appreciate your support!

  • Jay Kordich, the Father of Juicing, says that the oil in the skin of most citrus is not good for you, except for lemons and limes, which are different and good.. Although the rind (white part) of citrus has a lot of nutrition. Try juicing a orange with a rind and you will never go back to regular juice.

  • @SamuelinDetroit Thanks for dropping by. the only reason I didnt juice the skins of lemons and lime is they were WAY TO STRONG (for me anyway). Yes the white part of orange is nice, I did do that when I remembered :)

  • @nvthao I had 3 drinks per day, each 16-20 oz (500-600 mls). I had one in morning, at lunch time and dinner time. Some days I would miss a lunch one purely because I was not hungry. Hope this helps.

  • This Vid gave me an idea, I think I'll buy a citrus juicer. I've been avoiding citrus because peeling would take too long but it sure looks good.

I'm trying to learn as much as I can but what do you do for protein, did you go the entire time on just juice and no protein?

  • @ranius Thanks for dropping by, I appreciate it. I try and discuss many of the big issues in my videos so feel free to watch them to find out most of what you need to know. Regarding protein did you know pound for pound vegetables have more protein than meat and dairy? Meat and dairy = bad (I talk about this in my videos as well). So you are not going without anything, on the contrary you are gaining more by a juice fast. hope this helps and thanks for your kind words.

  • If you don't mind me asking, what type of juicer is that you have there? I purchased one yesterday and attempted to juice this am and it seems that it simply cut the items up and they ended up in the "left over" bin. I'm going to return it today and try to find another, but I am willing to purchase online. Thanks.

  • @MsToy734 Sure, I have a breville fountain (Australian name). I think it's the breville fountain plus in the US. You could try cutting larger pieces and see if that helps? Also try a lower speed setting and see if that would help. But many people I know use this juicer so it's probably worthwhile.

  • @overwhelmingtraffic Thank you. I purchased the Jack LaLane Express Juicer...and it pretty much cut up the spinach and kale I put into the machine and provided no juice. There is only one setting...so I shall return it in the morning and try again. Thank you for the information. It seems like most people love the Breville juicers...so I will price those. Thank you again.

  • @brotherhamm The book doesn't really give a detailed plan, but the thing is you don't really need one. Just drink 16-20 oz (500-600 mls) of juice 3 times per day. And this video shows you how to do it. Ask me any questions you may have and get started :). Also watch the movie "Fat sick and nearly dead". That helped and inspired me. Appreciate your kind words!

  • ABOUT CUCUMBERS - Not sure what type you use Tim but give "Lebanese" cucumbers a try, they have a great taste and the skin is not as strong tasting as traditional cucumbers.  We use them all the time.

Have tried the lebanese cucumber and did not like the taste, but that was early on so I might try it again with skin and see what it tastes like now. No doubt it will taste better because I am becoming more accustomed to vegies.

  • @overwhelmingtraffic I tried the juice fast 3 weeks ago. I was fine on the first day but the second day I threw everything up. I am not sure what happend with me. Maybe I juiced too much chard and grapefuit. I am going to give it a try again. Seeing you looking so healthy and young is really an inspiration.

  • @jart0679 Wow that does not sound like much fun, sorry to hear that :( Any chance the fruit and vegies were off? I think the more vegetables you can have in your juice the better, but maybe start slow and build up?  e.g. Try replacing 1 meal per day with a juice, then 2, and if all ok after a few days go for it? I have 3 of these juices per day and am not hungry so do not need any more. Often I have less quantity than shown (3/4's of a glass or around 400 ml/15 oz which is enough)....
