@DismantledIdiots One of my small interpretations of Christianity is the simplistic fact that God just wants us to live the best lives we can no harm done. Most people can't stand the fact that someone's going to deny the personal desires, they feel shut down, they get offended, they judge, they cast and this happens with all religions. Basically my point is to prove that people are naturally sinful by nature and the egos of man and women will clash with morality thus leading to miscomprehension

Unfortunately the Christian religion is being judged left and right due to complete lack of miscomprehension, and if people actually read it and truly felt the deepness within it I don't think people would have anything bad to say.

thank you for the video but i really dont think that many witches believe in ghosts and whatnot if they believe in reincarnation. i really should say "us" or "we" because i happen to be one and i really dont believe in ghosts at all and most witches dont but other than that thanks for the information on ethics and beliefs and whatnot and the rest of your info is pretty sound (in my opinion) :D

I'm a beginner and my family doesn't know. I am not going to tell them or anything but has anyone else ever been in this situation? My mom hates me and my sister won't talk to me and my dads not talking to anyone. We're all fighting each other. Im happy about my mom because she's abusive but any one know how to fix the dad and sister thing?

I havent done a lot of witchcraft in my time. Sometimes weird things just happen and i feel like its my fault, or i did it. I tried casting spells, sometimes they worked sometimes they didnt. But god if i had the magical powers i had in mind, I would be happy beyond belief!! By the way, for all you witches out there who dont know this, your powers are tied to your emotions. So keep that in mind.

Do you have this footage of ghosts on youtube? I'm a skeptic and I would like to analyze this footage. However I'm not trying to force my personal opinions on anyone, in fact I'm here more to learn about wiccans and your beliefs. However I personally feel that healthy debates and discussions from both sides will eventually lead to the truth and at least get people to think for themselves about which path they desire to take!

sweetheart if you're truly 11 & you're already wondering about these things then your best bet is to read. the internet is a wonderful tool but you have to remember that not everyone knows what they are talking about. look at reference books, read the history of what you are interested in. history holds more truth than you can imagine! i do not believe that voodoo is bad. read it's history & you will understand why. my belief is that you can practice whatever faith you feel drawn to. read!!! :)

But even Wicca has ritual and uses it with Gods and Goddesses. Witchcraft doesn't have it's own gods and goddesses. Nor is it predominately ritual-based. It is just a craft. Everyone does it differently and incorporates it into their own religious workings. Witchcraft just isn't it's own religion.

Well, it's a religion because there are the worshiping of a Goddess and a God, the magick part of it is actually kinda secondary to most including myself. There are holidays, and different rites to honor the deities. I hope this has helped some.

You must have misread my previous post. Witchcraft does not have its own Gods/Godesses, nor does it require the worship or incorporation of deity to be used properly. If the use of magic and the craft itself is secondary, then the person is not a witch, they are an eclectic neo-pagan who uses witchcraft.

"Magick" is specific to Thelema, a specific practice. I believe magic was the term you were looking for.

It is impossible to be of the Wica since you were ten. Wica is an orthopraxic religion with certain initiatory rites which involve ritual sex because Wica is a fertility cult. Since I don't think your parents would allow you to have said sex when you were ten I can not believe you to be of the Wica. I believe that your essence (or spirit if you will) is thrown back into the River of Fate where it is mixed with others' spirits to create a new life. A memory of your former life is imprinted in Elphame forever, thus why you get ghosts etc.

Look into Celtic Reconstructionism as well. CR attempts to revive what they can of Celtic practice. Wicca is not a Celtic religion itself.

Not exactly. There were those that had a personal daemon, such as Socrates, which was the idea that the soul existed outside the body as some sort of beast. It was a connection to the underworld and the higher concious. Do we know if the Church created the word "familiar"? No...not really. They probably guessed based on the folklore of the area.

only if you believe that Christianity is only what you read in the bible. the most common version of which, king james version, is known to have myriad mistranslations. e.g. the word witch was used to mean a woman who poisons. not actually what we would consider a witch, and was used only because james had a great fear of witches. remember, this book was written in a time when we thought the world was flat and we didn't know what caused sickness or even rain.
