no revelance to anything but this is the beginning of 12 2112 days january being the first and the end of the mayan calendar day 12-21-12 so happy 1-21-12 everyone haha.
I have both the cd and dvd of this tour, I also have every studio album the babd has produced except the first "RUSH" my ex killed it when we split, But I will have it again soon.
1:38-1:41 is why I love this band. They can play amazing music, but they have fun doing it. They're friends, and they show it. They play with each other while playing. It's so amazing to watch them do this.
I can keep beat with my feet perfect to this and every song, but i have no practice with hands, but the Lord is giving and i will get it with a little help in time. And i honor and applaud you guys. You are priests, angles and were chosen by God himself back in the day you write. honor him.
I remember Rush at the Sheffield City Hall (UK) in 1978, All The World's A Stage Tour. I paid like £1.50 to see them. Did I get a good deal? Saw some awesome gigs that year and that was one of them. Alex, Geddy and Neil - you were and still are amazing at what you do
@GeddyRules2112 Male pattern hair loss. He cares absolutely nothing about it because he knows his hair can't mutate into another hand and activate MIDI triggers for him.
Im sorry, but how can rock and roll get any better than this!! I mean if I had to pick the best 5 songs of all time this would be close to 1! I remember listening to this in like 5th grade. What a great time to be young when Rock was at it's best (75-85)!
God this generation is so full of mainstream stuff and people listening to "music".
Why don't they do like rush?
Rush was told to make something more radio friendly after the Fly By Night album, instead they did the opposite! Twentyone fucking twelve!
Music is about souls and work... not write some lyrics, have some guy make a beat, and sell yourself out. Stupid mainstream pop now a days... wish I was alive in the 60-70-80's!
@123DTRAY123 guitarists change guitars all the time during concerts because they might be differently tuned or sound different. Its not like hes magical or anything................... oh wait he is!
@JAValdes1000 good for you? i never said it wasn't... explain yourself please.. that dumb ass said he never had full hair, and i gave him the argument that he did and gave an example... and you come in saying what year it was..?
Man I was born in the wrong decade. Saw them last night and they still kick so much ass and the effects where the shit!!! Im 17 now but I was I was 17 back in 1976-1986. But whatever I'm lucky to have seen them.
Still friends since 1974. Alex Lifeson, John Rutsey and Geddy Lee were the start in 1968, then in 1970 or something, Geddy went to a band named Judd, then in 1972 he came back, then in 1974 Neil came in.
@Treifla if you think Neil's drum set is big, check out Terry Bozzio's. Its ridiculous. Too bad he hasn't done much of anything interesting since he stopped playing for Frank Zappa...
@jimguy3040 i do agree Neil Peart is 1 of the best drummers ever, But 2 say ( the best ) might be a stretch !! there so many drummers out there like Carl Palmer from E.L.P. , The drummer from Dream Theatre, and so many more. Even though I like Rush's music better these other drummers are right there. Neil's licks are perfect, But is perfect always perfect if your looking 4 emotion. I'm not saying He's not an emotional drummer but it's like compareing Steve Vai and Eric Clapton. U cant do it.

The great thing about CDs? I can hit REPEAT and just let classics like this roll & roll till I get my fill! Damn I still love this stuff!
Because of the usual lousy-singing from the great bass-player Lee, I can not up the volume... Too bad because the super awesome drumming can not be fully enjoyed.

Of all of Neil's kits this is my favorite. The reason I like it better than his tama kits: the deep 6x9, 8x9 and 10x9 double headed toms. The color pops! Also, this kit flat-out sounds better than his DW. The cut down 8" Dw toms have too much of thin "plink plink" sound that doesn't even sound as good as concert toms.
