  • I'd no idea a sequel to "Henry Fool" existed. My kneejack reaction,... mainstream schlockwreck. But, Hartley's films are pieces of deliberate scripting and delivery - actors acting as people, who act. A lot of truth there (watch Malick's work and see the real, quirky behavior of people wondering how 'to be'). So this takes it to another level. Parker Posey is the one encompassing all of that - self centered, insecure, image oriented, vulnerable, Long Island bitch wannabe. All good.

  • so oddly enough my father watched this movie yesterday and went on and on about it how much he loved parker posey he was all she played all those supporting rolls in those comedeys but she can really hold her own and carry a movie..i was like dad what are you her publicist? very funny coment from someone who has never said anything like that before about movies lol

  • nice movie

  • It's a sequel to Henry Fool but somehow completely stands on it's own legs. Henry fool was more sad and this one was a bit more dark comedy. Parker is amazing and also Simon is the guy who voices Dr. Venture on The Venture Bros.!

  • this movie is so fucking excellent,in every way-the dialogue tempo is the way Hal directs movies. This film is kind of a reunion of many of the HH greats, even the themes-but the story in this one is so good,so many details, and cool twists.

It is Parker at her most dazzling, for real.

I wathced it lastnite, and suddenly got real down and mad about another great Hal Hartley star, Adrienne Shelley-

the Unbelievable Truth and Trust, those movies are beautiful, and she in them, damn that sucks

  • "They're the CIA, Simon. The government of the United States of America. God, get with it."

i love the way she said those lines. sounds a little bit sarcastic, yet a little bit innocent. gotta see this one. i saw broken english, my first parker film, on saturday. realllly enjoyed it.

  • Luv liam aiken

  • anybody know why the film is rated R?

  • Language (f-bomb) and there's a scene of sexuality (they don't show anything but it's HEAVILY implied), a stripper scene, sexual language, and thematic elements

  • Looks like a must-see Parker movie, but I wonder if the plot really showcases her comedic talent...

  • You'd be surprised... or maybe not. Parker's comedic talent is evident regardless of the role. It's impossible to cover - her facial expressions and tone are unique to it.

  • the movie is not so good, but parker is really good in it... she's freakin funny in it, especially the vibrating phone/orgasm scene... i'm not kidding.

  • Lmao, I love Liam so much. He's so hot :p
