Great catch indeed, but won't call it the best ever, 'coz he had a decent amount of time to see the ball and react. Some tough catches taken at lightning speed in the close up positions are the awesome ones! They require fantastic concentration and reflexes.
If you were to ask someone who could neither careless about cricket nor baseball and told them if they had to choose one sport to sit down and watch for six hours most would say cricket. There's much more skill to cricket, more tactics required, a greater thought process, more enjoyment gained and in all a much more rewarding experience, and a better sport where the "top stars" aren't all tanked up on steroids and have to use oven gloves to catch a lighter ball.

@anjanmanikumar cricket ball is harder and heavier than a baseball, makes it alot hareder to catch bare handed. also because the batsman can play vertical or horizontal bat shots and it can also hit the edge it can lierally go flying off anywhere.

Great catch indeed, but won't call it the best ever, 'coz he had a decent amount of time to see the ball and react. Some tough catches taken at lightning speed in the close up positions are the awesome ones! They require fantastic concentration and reflexes.

If you were to ask someone who could neither careless about cricket nor baseball and told them if they had to choose one sport to sit down and watch for six hours most would say cricket. There's much more skill to cricket, more tactics required, a greater thought process, more enjoyment gained and in all a much more rewarding experience, and a better sport where the "top stars" aren't all tanked up on steroids and have to use oven gloves to catch a lighter ball.

theres alot. theres bunts, stealing bases, stealing signs the catcher gives the pitcher so you can relay them to the batter so he doesnt get fooled, theres all different types of pitches that move and drop and bend and they are hella hard to hit. theres also suicide squeezes, hit and runs, so many other things those are just a drop in the bucket.
