I will have to admit that this specific performance is the only one I have seen that anybody has been able to actually sound pretty close to Kendricks. Still will never be him, but he did a pretty damn good job here. I have heard this guy on several different times but he uaully doesn't sound that good. He nailed it here.
May Melvin Franklin rest in peace,but the harmonies sound the same without him as they do with him,but even though that's the case Blue is surely missed
No way is any song the same without Melvin. A bass can totally change the sound and his voice was so good it helped make some of these songs. Get ready is a fantastic song but with a bass, especially Melvin on the Fe Fi Fo Fum parts makes it sound so much better.
Ditto. This must have been right before McGilberry joined. I saw them live in May 1996 with him, and in these same suits; full sound, and sexy too. Closest thing to the Classic Five of all the other units.
