5 Stars, I use the Stroke mode to make a border:

Select All the Image--->Right Click--->Stroke and then choose size, color etc

But this is also a good method, goes to my favourites and I'm gonna subscribe your channel. ;)

Why you have to choose Select > Modify > CONTRAST instead of BORDER is a prime example of Photoshop nonsenseness.

border sucks. and its contraCt. its better to use this than border. then theres also the stroke option. my main point to using this, is border doesnt leave a strong defined edge. it like fades a little into the picture. which i hate. this way leaves the border really perfect

yeah, but border just makes a border, with contract you can make kinda like a double border, I can't explain it, but it looks better with contract than border.
