i think i came up with something new regarding the stars. at least off the rolling punches, it seems like i always got the star when i led my delayed jabs with the same fist he threw with. further testing, and it seemed like the opportunity window was larger that way.

Point one: It only works after countering the bull charge. Any other time it'll either miss or do normal damage. Point two: It's actually really easy to time after countering the charge...Just hold down the button when it closes up on his face as he laughs. You'll unleash the uppercut at the nearest opportunity, which happens to be the perfect timing.

I've just now realized the confusion surrounding "triggering the bull charge earlier". It doesn't happen earlier, but he'll do fewer attacks before using the bull charge because every gutpunch disables him for several in-game seconds. So he'll have done fewer attacks of his pattern, but it'll still happen around 1:25 or 1:30 on the clock.

Actually, TD Bald Bull is special. He won't go down with a normal punch (or a bull rush counter), but he will go down if he is hit by a star punch that takes away enough stamina.

I don't have this game due to the fact I don't own a Wii and I was very skeptical about this game when I first heard about it, but it looks like a lot of fun just like the originals and has a lot of new things thrown in that the two originals didn't have due to the technology at the time.

One other thing in the original punch out yes stars on bald bull can be random, however. Usually hitting him furing his rolling jabs is pretty much a sure thing to get at least one star. As well as countering his hooks with a jab.

This fight is so much bullshit. You practically need slowdown to get the stars off him. I only beat him cause I got really lucky with the stars and hit him with a level 3 Star Punch as he was recovering from the bull charge.

I don't know if dodging is part of your strategy, but the opening punch is counter-able for a star, so you could knock of a second or two.

The extra jabs are needed to save gathering an extra star in both phases 2 and 3- also countering that punch requires a body shot which puts BB out of punching range for like 4 in-game seconds. Trust me, this method is faster.

Just watch for when he turns red, that is an indicator for when he is going to attack but usually I have found that it marks a star opportunity as well.

I love how Bald Bull in Title Defense is one of the biggest jerks in the entire game. Aside from the fight itself being one of the hardest there is, the random nature of getting stars makes beating him before the 1:30 Bull Charge a pain.

Big props in getting him in under a minute, though. That's awesome.

Yes, just like in the first fight with him, (and in SPO for that matter) after two KDs he always goes to the Bull Charge. But, if you're just going for the Achievement, your method is MUCH easier : P

You should've beaten him in about 65 seconds... per se. But in less than a minute... amazing job!!!
