@692ALBANNACH Yes I’ve got my home (home in my hand, home in my hand) Ooh I’ve got my home (home in my hand, home in my hand) Well I’ve got my home in my hand, Yes I’ve got my home, home in my hand. Well you know I’m travelin’ across the land, Yes I’ve got my home in my hand. Well I’ve got my home (home in my hand) Well I’ve got my home (home in my hand) (About three more sets of these lyrics, but you get the idea.)
@692ALBANNACH Well I got my home in my hand – travelin’ across the land, Tryin’ to earn a living, givin’[ everything I can. Slide on! Well I got my home in my hand – travelin’ across the land, Tryin’ to earn a living, givin’ everything I can. Well I got my home in my hand – travelin’ across the land, Tryin’ to earn a living, givin’ everything I can. Tryin’ to earn a living, givin’ everything I can. (Home in my hand, home in my hand) (Home in my hand, ho-o-ome in my hand)
@692ALBANNACH The B side of Commander Cody’s “Hot Rod Lincoln” was called “My Home In My Hand,” according to a search on Google. Search for warriormusicplus.ecrater.
My brother and I were on our way to WVA one time and had this Cadillac pass us up like we were sitting still....took us awhile to run him down...but that ole Chevy pickup with a blown 327 gotta 'er done!
When I was a kid, my mom used to sing lullabies to me before bed... whenever my dad put me to bed, he'd sing this - complete with sound effects. He made it so epic...I would always hide under the covers during the part when the cops show up.
. . It's got a Lincoln motor and its really souped-up! . . That model "A" body makes it look like a Pup . . It's got 8 cylinders and uses 'em all . . Got over-drive, it just won't stall . . With a 4-barrel carb and dual-exhaust, 4-11 gears you can really get lost . . . . .
I still miss my wife's first car, not a Lincoln, a '72 Olds Cutlass 442 with dual 4 pak carb and ram air intake, Hurst spec. 4 speed shift on the floor. She had special racing tires ( a gift from Dad ) and the fastest speed I hit was 160 m.p.h. on Ocean Parkway on Long Island. That car scared me at that speed. BUT my now wife had no problem hitting 100 m.p.h. any day. God Bless American Built (pre-1980 ) !!
Cody, love it ...lol i had a revell glue together model of the german helmet car when i was a little kid ...heard him inteviewed many moons ago on late night radio ...told a story of the time he played a tiny podunk club and knocked himself out when he jumped up during the performace and hit his head on the low ceiling ...early 70's prog country was the best
wow your really rude. and that's not with any mods. and its with a 1.6 litre engine. us had to use 8 more liters to get same result. do you kiss you momma with that mouth? don't get me wrong though.I'm a proud American. it's just shameful we let the japs get so far ahead so quickly.

Thoroughgood did a version, Jim Varney did one for the Beverly Hillbillies movie. I prefer this version, but it's not the original, that was Charlie Ryan. Ryan's version did not include the iconic guitar lick provided here by the amazing Bill Kirchen, who's still touring and highly recommended. He even signed my Telecaster. I been workin' on that lick for 25 years and I almost got it down. BR5-49 used the lick for their cover of Charlie Daniels' Uneasy Rider.
@samllblockboy No, the 14 people who disliked this are people whose parents have never taken the time or responsibility to expose them to the classics!!!!!
Just in guies a hot rod Lincoln has just run over Beiber&Gaga. What were they doing outside of San Peedro on a moonlit&stary night on Grape Vine Hill?

Thumbin’ a ride to Geneva, standing in the falling rain,
Getting dirty looks, I wish I could’ve took a train.
Your friends say “Why did you leave her?” – I had to make it on my own,
Now I’m standing on the highway, tryin’ to find my way alone.
Well I got my home in my hand – travelin’ across the land,
Tryin’ to earn a living, givin’ everything I can.
It’s getting so hard to remember, it’s even harder to forget,
Well if I don’t find my way, how’m I gonna pay my debt?
