People are putting up way to much of a fuss over a TV show, if you think they are a complete fake then just simply stop watching the show and shut up. I for one enjoy watching the show fake or real, I find it to be interesting and learn about a lot of interesting places. I am not saying I think it's 100% real but I also do not believe it's 100% fake!

Second, I believe in the Paranormal it just needs to be absolutely certain that it can not be explained as something else before being presented to the public. I like the show but i know its fake. I am a camera guy and know id never look away from action to shoot the investigators. as a camera guy you are taught to shoot with bombs ggoing off and bullets flying.

Thought you'd love to read that for the 5 billionth time. But seriously, have you thought about running your text through a spell checker before putting it in the video? Takes only a few seconds to spell check and edit. Especially important for videos that could be online for many years.
As u can see I placed those little notes in the vid already. Really, when doing a vid at the last minute at 3:00 in the morning who thinks about putting it in spell check. Only peeps who r seeking a career in video not me.
Besides I don't have the original video anymore, it was lost when a friend did a full system restore on my old comp so thinking about running it in spell check is all I can do anymore. Nah, the only reason why I did this was to help people understand how it happened. Alot of peeps out there don't understand why it was the statue, so I just provided the footage that was missed or not looked at very well. I also explained how an image can look bigger then it really is. Not intentional on the part of TAPS, just an error I have no intent to debunk TAPS at all. Like I said before. I am a fan of the show, otherwise I would not have been watching it that night...

Thankfully TAPS/Ghost Hunters made several huge mistakes during the live special, revealing that they were indeed trying to deceive the viewing audience. The collar tug? Honestly! That looked so fake and quite simply foolish. It has been explained away by both critics, analyists and others that are involved in the field of ghost hunting but Jason and Grant will not "give up the ghost", so to speak, and admit that it was staged. Smoke and mirrors people. I certainly can't take them seriously.

But they don't. They look for alternative explanations, and pretty regularly, don't count things and experiences which they log. Your video didn't convince me of your point... not in the least. Ok, first of all his shadow & the statues wouldn't create a fairly obvious and clear "FEMALE" outline/shadow/apparition. It'd look deformed & disfigured, as if merging two shadows together. they cross over and make like something completely differnt. I posted this video before TAPS realized the error. Also I never said anything about fraud peeps came up with their own conclusions. I too have had my own experience, so I'm not saying it's all fake. I simply pointed out that it was not a ghost but rather a chain of events causing the statue to be mistaken as a ghost.
There is science involved dumbass. They realized they made a mistake in this episode, but in others there is proof that some of the places are haunted. You just can't accept anything that you yourself can't see or prove.

Look people, if you have ever experienced stuff like this yourself, perhaps you wouldn't have so much trouble believing. What motivation would they have to lie/fake these things? Have you ever been slapped in the face by something that isn't there? Have you ever woke up to see an apparition lying next to you? Have you ever had your mattress lifted up on one side by something that isn't there? Hauntings are real, I know from my own personal experience.

eh I'm not so sure about that. The figure looks like it moves independent of everything around it, not like the angle of the camera is changing to make it look like it's 'standing up' Guess we'll never know unless they go back eh?
I think the shadow makes sense, but why does it appear to move as if a human standing up? See how it bends a little in the mid-section? I'm not implying it's truly a ghost, but I'm not convinced it's the statue.
You're video is confusing to understand what really what down. The easiest way to say it is that the camera guy behind steve has a light on him which casts a shadow on the wall. Then we see his shadow cast on the statue by the light which is evident by the light on the bottom of the statue and by the direction the black mass travels in. In my opinion this is more of a mistake, Taps goes to great lengths to debunk things, if they didn't hundreds of these vids would exist for many episodes.
I was doing some research on this and according to the Taps forums, Grant did in fact do 2 hours of debunking this, while they couldn't exactly recreate the effect, he says the statue was the culprit, unfortunately, Grant has no say on what their editor puts into the show, which sometimes he will intentionally leave out some debunking to add interest to the show, something Jason and Grant have expressed unhappiness with.
I remember they went to that one house and everything was highly obviously staged and they looked pissed off the entire time; the dude was just doing it to promote his movie or somethin' like that.. I have the last part of it in my favorite vid list.. Jason and Grant look so annoyed when they're tellin him what they found.
Ok, imagine a statue right in front of your camera. Now imagine your shadow casting on the statue as you get up. At the same time, imagine your shadow casting behind the statue as well. As you begin to move, your the shape of yoru shadow changes, thus giving the rising effect. Here you can clearly see the statue, and the shadow cast on it, then behind it. I would give this video more credibility if the cameraman caught it standing still. Instead, it rose in proportion to how he tilted.
Even if you disregard the fact that the Taps crew themselves claim it is an illusion, some have commented that it has to be real because the shadow didn't rise in perfectly with the camera. Well, it wasn't perfect, but it was damn close, rising almost perfectly with the camera movement until the last millisecond when the camera changes direction slightly. First, just imagine yourself casting a shadow as you and your camera stand up, now imagine yourself moving your camera after you stood up.
I'm not saying that it is a ghost but the thing is the form (statue/shadow/ghost/whatever) has a motion that is NOT in sync with the camera movement.
Not to mention that the shape changes/morphs but that could be due to the camera prespective. In any case the motion of the object and the camera isn't syncronized so I don't buy the whole "debunk" thing...
It's a statuette. Watch the whole episode you'll see it on the table during the pre-investigation tour. During the investigation, steve sits there. When he stands, the camera passes the figurine. This is one that they should have figured out.
*Hint = There's no such thing as a real ghost video.

Nah, the only reason why I did this was to help people understand how it happened. Alot of peeps out there don't understand why it was the statue, so I just provided the footage that was missed or not looked at very well. I also explained how an image can look bigger then it really is. Not intentional on the part of TAPS, just an error I have no intent to debunk TAPS at all. Like I said before. I am a fan of the show, otherwise I would not have been watching it that night...

Thankfully TAPS/Ghost Hunters made several huge mistakes during the live special, revealing that they were indeed trying to deceive the viewing audience. The collar tug? Honestly! That looked so fake and quite simply foolish. It has been explained away by both critics, analyists and others that are involved in the field of ghost hunting but Jason and Grant will not "give up the ghost", so to speak, and admit that it was staged. Smoke and mirrors people. I certainly can't take them seriously.

Okay, so what's the beef? Yes it is entertaining, yes it is scripted! Yes, they see a shadow right before the commercial break! However, and I say HOWEVER! They have shown some stuff that could not be explained away. I will agree to that! Like the shadow person in the prison in Philadelphia. That was really creepy. Yes, Sci-fi wants to keep people interested for sure. But Jason and Grant started this thing in a trailer in their backyard. They are the real deal. Sure, now they have make-up people and directors screaming "action"! , but you cant blame them for profiting off thier success. When you get right down to it, all the extra stuff aside, these guys hunt ghosts -- and alot of times they find them. Product placement, make-up and scripts perhaps... But "total scripted nonsense", no way.

Ok, first of all his shadow & the statues wouldn't create a fairly obvious and clear "FEMALE" outline/shadow/apparition. It'd look deformed & disfigured, as if merging two shadows together. they cross over and make like something completely differnt. I posted this video before TAPS realized the error. Also I never said anything about fraud peeps came up with their own conclusions. I too have had my own experience, so I'm not saying it's all fake. I simply pointed out that it was not a ghost but rather a chain of events causing the statue to be mistaken as a ghost.

Have you ever been slapped in the face by something that isn't there? Have you ever woke up to see an apparition lying next to you? eh I'm not so sure about that. The figure looks like it moves independent of everything around it, not like the angle of the camera is changing to make it look like it's 'standing up' Guess we'll never know unless they go back eh?

I think the shadow makes sense, but why does it appear to move as if a human standing up? See how it bends a little in the mid-section? I'm not implying it's truly a ghost, but I'm not convinced it's the statue.

You're video is confusing to understand what really what down. The easiest way to say it is that the camera guy behind steve has a light on him which casts a shadow on the wall. Then we see his shadow cast on the statue by the light which is evident by the light on the bottom of the statue and by the direction the black mass travels in. In my opinion this is more of a mistake, Taps goes to great lengths to debunk things, if they didn't hundreds of these vids would exist for many episodes.

I was doing some research on this and according to the Taps forums, Grant did in fact do 2 hours of debunking this, while they couldn't exactly recreate the effect, he says the statue was the culprit, unfortunately, Grant has no say on what their editor puts into the show, which sometimes he will intentionally leave out some debunking to add interest to the show, something Jason and Grant have expressed unhappiness with.

I remember they went to that one house and everything was highly obviously staged and they looked pissed off the entire time; the dude was just doing it to promote his movie or somethin' like that.. I have the last part of it in my favorite vid list.. Jason and Grant look so annoyed when they're tellin him what they found.

Ok, imagine a statue right in front of your camera. Now imagine your shadow casting on the statue as you get up. At the same time, imagine your shadow casting behind the statue as well. As you begin to move, your the shape of yoru shadow changes, thus giving the rising effect. Here you can clearly see the statue, and the shadow cast on it, then behind it. I would give this video more credibility if the cameraman caught it standing still. Instead, it rose in proportion to how he tilted.

Even if you disregard the fact that the Taps crew themselves claim it is an illusion, some have commented that it has to be real because the shadow didn't rise in perfectly with the camera. Well, it wasn't perfect, but it was damn close, rising almost perfectly with the camera movement until the last millisecond when the camera changes direction slightly. First, just imagine yourself casting a shadow as you and your camera stand up, now imagine yourself moving your camera after you stood up.

I'm not saying that it is a ghost but the thing is the form (statue/shadow/ghost/whatever) has a motion that is NOT in sync with the camera movement.
Not to mention that the shape changes/morphs but that could be due to the camera prespective. In any case the motion of the object and the camera isn't syncronized so I don't buy the whole "debunk" thing...

It's a statuette. Watch the whole episode you'll see it on the table during the pre-investigation tour. During the investigation, steve sits there. When he stands, the camera passes the figurine. This is one that they should have figured out.
