but if you want to save a picture from the internet, press and hold your finger on the desired picture and a menu will come up asking if you want to save said picture

if you click save it will save to that new picture foldier

what youre probably looking at is that very dark redish brown circle on the top face?

thats a light sensor, when you go to brightness settings and click "auto brightness" on, that sensor will determine if you need more brightness or less brightness depending on the outside light it picks up. and will adjust the brightness of your display to make it easier to see. i hope thats what you were talking about.
