If you rev into the red slightly and change gear fast you can stay in the vtec range with that kick of power. I've outrun turbo charged cars like Megans, astras and even Imprezas doing that.

For all you yanks The Honda Accord Type R has a 2.2litre, 215-225Bhp, H22A7 Engine. Not a F22, F22 Euro, F22b1 or a F20. IT'S A H22A7. ANYONE WITH AN ACCORD TYPE R (OR ANYONE WHO KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT JAPANESE PERFORMANCE CARS) COULD BACK ME UP ALL DAY.

For the dudes who have absolutely no idea about what engine this has, let me enligten them.. Its NOT a F-Series engine, its a H22A7. I know this as I have a red Accord Type R myself, looks almost identical to the one in this video.

I have an ATR put an induction kit on it and it makes it even louder especially on the VTEC. I love driving with the window down and especially in tunnells. I love the sound of the car. Its a quick car and great fun to drive!

Standard Type-R engine. 2.2 litres, 8200rpm redline. It just takes a planted right foot and the sound arrives all by itself!

220bhp, and a sub 7 second 0-60mph time. Not bad, and certainly not slow for a large 4 door saloon. And I haven't even mentioned the hand finished engine that revs up to 8200rpm. I'm quite happy, no make that VERY happy with the way that it is thanks!
