i understand the brotherhood of law enforcement,though its just like that here in vegas, a man gets shot they will send an ambulance and possible a body bag an officer down gets called out they send the hole damn department, we had 4 offiers killed in the line of duty in a 6th month period in 2010 one incedent happened within a five minute walk from my home it was an an officer involved accident he died and i seen cops there for weeks,
@19TL85 You have to take in consideration that someone who shoots a cop, is a lot more dangerous then someone who shoots someone who is not involved in Law Enforcement. And like you said, the brotherhood involved. Officers are like brothers and sisters with eachother so when there is an officer down they take it as if it's a family member down. I know here in Col. OH, if someone get shots there are a lot of officers that respond, as I have seen it first hand and they were there for 1 day.

The traditional police car is a Ford Crown Vic with a Police Interceptor chip...super charged of course...and a V8....The have a HELL of a LOT of POWER!!!

@AnotherGuyWhoCamps That's the crosswalk signal, which makes that beeping for visually-impaired people to know where the cross button is located. When the WALK signal comes on, a voice says "Walk sign is on to cross (name of street that's safe to cross)"
@gezelle007 its an opticon system. whenever an emergency vehicle approaches the intersection, the light turns Green for them. it helps prevent traffic accidents. But the signal and vehical must be equipped for it.

They pick up a special strobe pattern from the oncoming emergency vehicles, and give that direction a green light to clear traffic out of the way. The strobe light on the wire indicates to other drivers that there is an oncoming emergency vehicle. Again, both the signals and the emergency vehicle have to be properly equipped with the 3M Opticon system.

@ldonaldham , There is no such thing as an "Interceptor chip", Ford has NEVER put a supercharger in a Vic and for the size of the car and what it does it really doesn't have all that much power. 230 hp motor and 180 at the wheels. What makes it badass is the tranny gears, shift timing, rear differential ratios and most important the Transmission/engine cooling system that lets you run balls out all day without breaking a sweat. The Goodyear -Police only- Crown Vic Eagles also help out.

You must work for a smaller department? I work for county, and if we get an officer down, or an officer in need of assistance we don't have to be dispatched. We just go in their direction until the scene is secure. You may ask, what if we get another call? well, the officer needing help becomes priority over any other call. It may seem dumb, but when you're the officer in the need of help, you arn't complaining.
@apoll134 I'm a cadet at our dept. in a city of around 100,000 people. last year we got an officer down call at 2AM and there were 12 officers on patrol in the city plus 4 troopers.... all 12 city and 4 troopers responded plus 2 more from the smaller town next to us, 5 from the sheriff's office who left their posts at the county jail and several officers who were off duty drove from their homes to the station to pick up cars and drive to the scene and look for the guy. they caught him days later

My town, East Bridgewater, has a pop of about 14,000 or so (not that you would know it because you see the same 25 people over and over lol) and we have about 80... so that can't be correct for Framingham otherwise you'd be severely understaffed...

Then there are civilian dispatchers.

Supv is responsible for number of cops @ scene & has to assign them. long ago, When I was down, supv. was 1st on the scene & kept a few units (4 or 5) for assignment. Everyone else resumed.

whats the performance chip do besides makin it more powerful i understand that...but what specifically does it do ? nd can someone like go into a store and buy one or is specifically for police ??

@ldonaldham , There is no such thing as an "Interceptor chip", Ford has NEVER put a supercharger in a Vic and for the size of the car and what it does it really doesn't have all that much power. 230 hp motor and 180 at the wheels. What makes it badass is the tranny gears, shift timing, rear differential ratios and most important the Transmission/engine cooling system that lets you run balls out all day without breaking a sweat. The Goodyear -Police only- Crown Vic Eagles also help out.

after looking into this video on this date and talking with people i found out why they were racing over there,it was a special 50% off on jelly donuts,plus there 10% off police special,so it was an all out race with many dept. .....j/k i was bored thought the video was good,and just trying to put a little laugh to the video...but its a great video,good job

Nice Video! Your just filming everything without saying any word which is good thing because Me and others (im pretty sure) that like to hear siren and engine roar. and plus like to see different kind of police cars shows up. not like others video short 10 sec video, talking background, moving around too much.... anyway.... 5 stars!

My dept. definitely would not allow this many units on one call, even an officer down.

You must work for a smaller department? I work for county, and if we get an officer down, or an officer in need of assistance we don't have to be dispatched. We just go in their direction until the scene is secure. You may ask, what if we get another call? well, the officer needing help becomes priority over any other call. It may seem dumb, but when you're the officer in the need of help, you arn't complaining.

Yeah, it's the same here, officer down means pretty much everyone within reasonable distance goes.

@apoll134 I'm a cadet at our dept. in a city of around 100,000 people. last year we got an officer down call at 2AM and there were 12 officers on patrol in the city plus 4 troopers.... all 12 city and 4 troopers responded plus 2 more from the smaller town next to us, 5 from the sheriff's office who left their posts at the county jail and several officers who were off duty drove from their homes to the station to pick up cars and drive to the scene and look for the guy. they caught him days later

@RenegadeMadeVideoman I know it qualifies for a city, but its not...look it up, Framingham is the biggest Town in America...and i said its made up of 88 PATROL officers, thats not counting the sergeants, liutenants, detectives, etc.

@Alex09756 my point being, yes while it technically is a town, it may as well be a city with the population, and most towns have a certain amount of police officers per amount of people. My town, East Bridgewater, has a pop of about 14,000 or so (not that you would know it because you see the same 25 people over and over lol) and we have about 80... so that can't be correct for Framingham otherwise you'd be severely understaffed...

The town next to Framingham has a population of 14,000 and is made up of about 20 patrol officers. Framingham is made up of the following, (looked it up for you) : 1 Chief, 3 Deputy Chiefs, 1 Captain, 13 Lieutenants, 14 Sergeants, 88 Patrol Officers, 2 Animal Control Officers and 23 Crossing Guards. Then there are civilian dispatchers.

actually, the reason that nearly every agency and police dep in MA was there is because a framingham police officer was shot, and then they couldn't find the suspect.

LOL.. RadioReporter... You better believe they drive the wrong way and hop the sidewalk. When a partner is shot and down or in running gun battle (hints)- the last thing I want to hear is that my backup drove 3 extra blocks going AROUND the block because of a 1 way street when they are only 1/2 blk away.
Supv is responsible for number of cops @ scene & has to assign them. long ago, When I was down, supv. was 1st on the scene & kept a few units (4 or 5) for assignment. Everyone else resumed.

And I don't have a problem with hopping a sidewalk in some cases, such as you describe, but anything I was complaining about in this case was hours later.
In fact there was a news story about needing a velvet crime scene tape to keep out the rif raf on crime scenes, too many cops were standing around and contaminating
This looked like a cop convention, not a crime scene. 5 blocks taped off for a subway job?

I got there hours later, saw it because I came over the bridge. It was a full scale circus, even by NYPD standards.
I think 21St was closed from the Plaza to 38th Ave, where I saw some obscure investigators from the Queens DA's office show up to hang
The Queens DA used to show up and tell everybody he was there on business. But he's one of the worst, a buff with a badge.
Seen him on a WW 2 torpedo found in the muck job. Talk about stupid ESU, they were really dumb that time DUMB DUMB DUMB!!!
