I agree. Stunning track. Why doesn't everyone else love this? I prefer the studio version though - doesn't need the sax/complications. Nevertheless - mindblowingly great.
Really great version & recording, marvellous background choir! Interesting haircuts. Thank you for posting. Did Lou Reed play any other songs at the Secret Policeman's Third Ball? Is there any recording available?
NIce to see Lou smile :-)

This was one of the better songs from Mistrial. Leather squeak, bootheals clicking..you can just picture it!

in my opinion it is one of the weakest albums lou reed ever made. "tell it to your heart" is a good and sweet song though.
his best albums in the 80's are "the blue mask" and "new york" i think.
"street hassle" from '78 is unbeatable, so is "berlin".

NO, actually the saxophone player is Ricky Bell, who played sax for the Michael Stanley Band before this.

The studio version is terrible? Like everything else on Mistrial? Are you nuts? That's one of the best albums I've heard from anyone!

The studio version is terrible, like everything else on Mistrial, but this is lovely. The sax player should rethink that haircut mind you
