oh yeah, about mike's stolen basses, if you want to help get them back to him, just check out hootpage(dot)com , check under "thud staffs" , you'll see them there..
the dude/dudes who stole mike watt's basses, gibson & tele, please give them back to him!. he's the man who can make 'em sing as u can see he built 'em to do so. i'm sure the novelty wore off by now. c'mon, suddenly make them re-appear for the man just as peter buck's rick-o guitar did (also once stolen, then returned back to him). i can't speak for anyone, but if you ever met mike, he's a great guy & i'm sure he'd just be happy just to get 'em back and you'll feel better in the long run!. :)
What a relief. When I saw the trumpet come in at the corner of the screen I was afraid it would be Flea trying to flog his tired horseshit for the millionth time.
dave grohl stole this bass from brian wilson to driv ehim caaRAZY!..changed teh pick-ups
and put stickers on it...then gave it to mike watt before he was going over to brian wilsons to record..when brian asked mike where he got it..he said " i dont know, i think it was kurt kobain..if you like it you can have it'
WHO IS BRIAN WILSON are you fuckin kidding me.... the Beach Boys the soul of the 60s surfing sound, i cant believe you actually wrote an email asking WHO IS BRIAN WILSON. stop putting shit on the internet. you need to look to the past..... now go and learn. dumbass, go learn!
that is so great! i hear now this bass got stolen from Watt in Canada? i wonder if someone is pullin' a prank on him. this seems to happen to all these great players (peter buck & his rick-o too). i hope it surfaces. that's just a waste, watt does use it best (not taking merrit from b. wilson). listen to that monster!
Miles always knew a good groove when he heard it, he was one of the funkiest cats in his day, still holds up. as do the stooges and mike watt, good is good, time can't change that....
& THAT's how it's done boys!..

The Stooges Funhouse is such a great record. my favorite Stooges album. Mr. Watt is a great late addition to the stooges family.

I love Mike Watt....one of my greatest influences. A pure emotional player, and a great bass-line writer.
