This movie is real masterpiece of cinematography. I've never seen a movie with such a balance of hysterical comedy and serious drama. Roberto Benigni was brilliant. Nicoletta Braschi was impressive too. The movie won 3 Oscars I would give it more. Life is Beautiful is one of my all time favorite War movies - along with Escape from Sobibor (1987), Schindler's List (1993), Savior (1998), Enemy at the Gates (2001), The Pianist (2002) and Black Book (2006).

@Essevuh ERR. the movie was originally in Italian, dubbed in english, and then the actual actors, (who are italian) did the dubbing. I don't think you could get them to haven an english accent THEY'RE ITALIAN><

@Essevuh pretty sure, Most of the actors did the remix on the dubbing, and to say that "nobody speaks like that in italy" well, duh they speak italian in italy. Being born in Italy my self, and having an italian accent, i would say that they dubbing does remind me of my cousins speaking around the kitchen table. However, I will admit that the voices are animated, especially in the comic parts to add to the overall comedy of the scene. But thats to be expected being that Roberto is a comic

Similar to this I don't knlow but all the Fellini's movie for exemple are CLASSICAL ITALIAN movies (LIfe is beautiful can be considerate a classic movie in the other contries but in Italy is just a nice film. Howewer another nice film of Benigni is "Jonny Stecchino", but I think that BEnigni is better like theather-actor than movie-actor! Ciao ciao!

Not sure what you mean by zoom, movie seems to work fine. Although I am in the process now of uploading both the Italian version and the Italian with english subtitles, that way everyone is happy :D

Dubbing? Blasphemy! I am halfway through watching this movie and i thought it was very confusing because the subtitles only showed half sentences. Then I realised that the movie was on zoom and half the subtitle were being cut off.
