@SaphiraSiLva001 it doesn't matter what you mean, when you use the verb "rakastaa" you must always use the partitive, which is, in the case of the word Suomi, Suomea...:)
@Nostalink Quite good, yeah. It is indeed very hard, actually it is the second hardest language in the world, the first being Hungarian, so...but if you really want to learn it, and maybe spend some time there (and with some I mean AT LEAST six months), you do learn it. ;)
@Nostalink I don't know, I'm sorry. But I don't think it's very high in the list, because even though it's a beautiful language, it's very easy compared to other languages ;)
@imaginary92 Yes, french is really easy to speak, but to write it's a rallyhard one ( I talk about rules, lots of exception really strange ^^ In french there is " Passé simple " and other thing really hard to write without errors ^^ ) A chance that the hardest thing in french are not really use :D
I don't think that french is a beautiful langage, maybe because I speak it everytime, so I'm bored of it...
@Nostalink Oh, I can perfectly understand that. When I was in Finland everyone was like "Oh, you're Italian, italian is a beautiful language, I would love to learn it" and I was like "Italian is boring, and if I could stop speaking it, I wouldn't mind at all". It's always like this, people tend to get bored of their own language ;)
@imaginary92 So for those who live in Finland, finnish is boring, for me it's a really good language x)
I can't stop listening to Indica's song, especialy when they are in finnish :) Oh and thanks for the lyrics in the description, on every Indica's song I try to sing with the finnish lyric :p This one is really hard due to the speed ^^'
well, no, compared to other languages, its easy as jazz. its completely logical and artificially constructed. one cannot know where to begin when naming languages that are much much harder to learn. Im not talking about french, spanish, italian, which is basicly all the same. Take mandarin for instance, polish, maybe icelandic, the list is long
@Skelros No, really, it is very hard. Just because it is logical, it doesn't mean it's easy. I didn't find it really hard, just because I myself easily pick up foreign languages, but otherwise it's very hard. Come on, Finns themselves say it's very hard. If it wasn't the language they speak ever since they're born they'd find it awfully hard to learn. They don't know the grammar of their own language because it's too hard. That just HAS to mean something!
If not educated, they cannot explain you how it works. But neither could I in regards to my mothertongue.they certainly have no problems with grammar whatsoever, rarely ever doing mistakes.Comparing it to my first language, whose speakers live almost in the second generation of being raised by parents that dont even know how to use it correctly themselves, finnish is remarkably consistent. We seem to have different experiences of finnish nativespeakers claiming a certain difficulty
while i not only had less trouble learning the language than i thought id have, there are lots of languages that are just as foreign, if not more, while not as logical, as simply structured, and are therefore much harder. once again me mentioning polish and so on. but i get it, im repeating myself
@imaginary92 Well, I must say that Finnish grammar is pretty difficult. Some of those rules come easily, but some of them aren't that easy to learn because we don't speak like that usually.Even thought I learned to read in the age of four and have read a lot after that, Finnish is one of the hardest subjects in the school. But, could someone tell me what kind of does Finnish sound like to someone who doesn't speak it? I would really much like to know, I had been thinking about it :D
@BlueBellKlaudia It's hard to explain, really. I don't think there's any other language that sounds similar to Finnish, so it's hard to compare it something, but I think it's beautiful. I love to hear it spoken. I don't know, it's like...flowing water? :D
@imaginary92 Wow, sounds nice :D I understand it's difficult, it's just impossible think what kind of Finnish is when you speak it as your mother language :) Do you think that Finnish sounds more like Russian or Swedish? We actually have a lot of words from both languages :)
finnish does not sound a bit like swedish, but it has similarities in accent with russian when speaking a foreign language. in itself its hard to describe. very rythmic(!), somewhat gravelly but soft at the same time. one thing thats for sure is that it takes quite some time to be able to understand it in its spoken form (in the beginning it was like trying to catch air), and quite impossible for me if mumbling occurs :[
@MSpianoduel18 I believe I clicked on the wronged button and I erased it by mistake, cause I never erase comments, even when they are insulting, but a few times I actually deleted comments without actually meaning it, so that's probably what happened...sorry! (:
