Nice posting! Yes, that's right. We are all walkers on the great camino of life. I'm going to be on the Camino de Santiago next year but my heart is already there. ^____^
I totally agree that it is the journey that counts and not the destination. I was almost a little sad when I finished in Santiago! Great video. I did the Camino ins October 2010. If you get a chance, feel free to check out my video too :-) Buen camino!
I have watched this video more times than I could possibly count. Since the moment I first saw it, it has solidly and lovingly held a place in my heart. It helped to make my dream of walking the Camino a reality, calling me forward, and calling me back to myself when I needed. Thank you for the gift and blessing of your creativity, and for gathering so many other people's thoughts as well! Buen Camino!
What a thoughtful and true video! We're working on finishing a documentary film about the Camino, and your thoughts are echoed by so many of the pilgrims we followed. Please check out our youtube channel, our website and our Facebook page for more information about the film and to watch our trailer!
This video is overromantic. It is promoting a sort of camino 'politcal correctness. . Be more balanced. It is NOT extraordinary to walk from Leon or Sarria, it is ORDINARY. In summer months camino is like a pissoir, stinking, overcrowded. A lot of not nice people, often drunk in private albuerges, selfcentered individuals walking in illusions about themselves. Walking this camnio can be boring, painful, many giving up after some days,
@lungarius you probably chose the worst date to do it. Try walking it in October, and the video will be just perfect to describe what it feels to walk the Camino. Of course it gets boring and painful, but it's there is a secret behind the pain and boredom, and it's when you don't stop walking no matter what, that you discover what it is.
@thdqvqtq No, I am sorry. Its not about walking the wrong part of the year. Not at all. I have walked different caminos, in spain and in norway and through most of the months of the year. So it is not about that! It is only this stupid 'camino correctness' thing that is a lie. There are a lot of people having a totally other experience. People who finish walking after some days, who experience no magic and only ordinary things and pains, and still enjoy it and find it an important experience.
@lungarius It is a magic, that every person has his/her own experiences. Besides we cannot see the change of a persons head, only their action. An example... I have met a Spanish man, we became friends, as we arrived on the square in Santiago he cried. I never thought he would.
I saw hospitaleros helping perigrinos, without expecting gratitude. If I want to get help here, I have to draw my health security card first.
Summer '07-Roncesvalles to Finisterre on foot. The journey remains a daily indelible impact enriched with contact from friends around the world, my never-to-be-forgotten memories, a certain smell or song in the air, a dusty road aching to be traveled, or just sitting quietly sipping Rioja wine. I, like others, rejoice in having had the opportunity to experience the camino. I thank you for your posting. The memories that surface when watching are far from fading and I, too, shed a tear...
I walked the Camino this wonderful year of 2009. I will never forget it, ever. I walked from Pamplona to Santiago de Compostela. I'm not ashamed to admit you're movie made me cry with fond memories of the Camino passing through my head.
I walked the Camino from Le Puy, France to Finisterre, Spain in 2007.
What could I say...overwhelming.
I thought it would be a lonely walk of penance, but turned out that I was meeting so many people and experiencing so much things I didn't anticipate.

This is a wonderful video and has inspired my entire family to make the pilgrimage. We are a family of 5 and will go this summer. We've never had such a unified vision for a family project. All these years and we didn't know this was in our future. It is a wonderful gift. Thank you!
Wow! Thank you for letting me know that! I think this is one of the most important decisions you will have ever made! Have a great camino! I am also going back....but this time in italy!
cada vez que veo leste video lloro y me acuerdo de toda la gente que quiero gracias a que nos unio el camino. GRACIAS GRACIAS GRACIAS. en Julio volveremos a vivir otra vez la magia.
This is very uplifting. I would love to experience this, hopefully in 2010. Check out Camino de Santiago; More than all the miles" My dear friend has shared his experience and his song....beautiful!
This video was the one that force me going through all that. The complete camino frances...800km...last summer.
It changed a lot in my mind.. and it still causes tears when i listen to it and remember that time..! A part of my heart is still on the camino.. and it will wandering forever there!
It was your video which got me training here in San Francisco. It got me over the Pyrenees to Logrono last year and this year it will get from Leon to Sarria. You're the best. You changed my life as did the Camino with all of the people I met. Thank you.
Thank you all for your comments... I just returned from another great camino in France (Le Puy to Lectoure) and I look forward to arriving in SJPP next year!
i did this in 2007 and it was easily the greatest expercinace of my life.never in my life and never again in my life i fear will i ever experciance the emtional togetheriness i felt in my 10 days in spain.anyone watching this who has not done it,i seriously recommand it as it will change your life.the hardship is really worth it as once you lay eyes on that cathdral you will experciance the strongest emtions you will ever feel
Espero hacer el camino dentro de un mes, y después de ver este video me han entrao aún más ganas de querer hacerlo, así que nada, espero a disfrutarlo mucho.
