Hey geniuses (and I use that term VERY loosely), did you ever take in account that her hair is natural, and she uses heat to straighten it? My hair is half her length when it's straight. Since I don't use the creamy crack (perms or relaxers) like some black women, my hair grows since it's not being damaged. Black hair does grow, you just know how to take care of it.

i mix conditioner and coconut oil, put on a clear plastic disposable cap, and heat it with a blowdryer. i stopped using flat irons and i dry my hair with a fan. i use a technique to dry it straight this way. now i no longer get split ends and my hair grows like a weed.

Thank you for this tutorial I think that I am going to try this on my hair this weekend. My hair is usually so fluffy after washing and drying it that I can't do anything with it but put it in a ponytail. Im a hairstylist in Charlotte, NC...Black women can have long hair but the things we do to our hair keeps us from having it. If you shampoo your hair every week or every two weeks and use proper conditioners and keep the weeeeeave and braids( unless your hair is natural) out of it...just rollerset it and wrap it at night you will be amazed how healthy your hair will be:)
