  • I have a Dikar Spain .45 Cal black powder only... I want to shoot mine but the origin of mine may be kit as well so I am hesitant. I will post a vid soon

  • Hola.

  • That is a kentucky percussion pistol but from this picture I can`t tell if this is a real pistol or just wall decoration.

  • its a blunderbuss. lol

  • Thats a POS cheap wall hanging reproduction decoration

  • it looks lika a kentucky pistol. but i'm no expert.

  • I have one similar looks, is made in spain, and also on barrelhas Jukar ,that would be brand. i have hd for 17years. was a gift, never shot yet but oneday

  • five stars

  • My guess, and its just a guess, is that its a well-finished kit gun, probably from Spain and probably from the '70's. Try taking the barrel off and checking the underside for markings. Also you could check the back of the lock plate. I love mystery guns!

  • I think you're right about this as a kit gun. No manufacturer would let a gun go out without their name on it somewhere, and even the "kit" manufactirer wouldn't allow it either so I believe it's a "kit" made up of parts from "everywhere."

For example, the lock looks like a Spanish made one and the stock could have been bought from Dixie Gun works just like the rest of the parts. Many of these parts have no name or marks but the barrel should have a "proof" mark on it somewhere. Nice gun tho.

  • If you find out, let me know. I have exactly the same pistol. I'll send you the link to a picture by pm. My father bought mine in the late '70s from a gunsmith in Spain. I think it is a reproduction. Mine has a serial number stamped on the barrel. The front sight was a peg which unfortunately is now missing.

  • i got one like this - try taking the barrel off and looking on the bottom of it (i did this with my mystery cap 'n ball, and found a make + date of manufacture)

  • Nice clean looking gun , But with no markings on it I would be careful if you do try firing it ( may be a low powder charge to start ) Good Luck.

  • love it! 5 stars

  • Obama SUCKS Now go eat a Dick and STFU!!

  • awesome! 5 therapeutic stars! :-)!

  • Kit gun...K mart sporting goods used to sell them...no finish and a bunch of assembly required. bought the smaller version of this one way back in 1975

  • i want one! 5 *****

  • You have a very good speaking voice. It's very engaging and comfortable. I also like the topics of your videos: self-sufficiency and non-pretentiousness.

  • tell ya trhis richard i gota 410 survival gun real short light all steel no wood

I wood rekin that 50 cal feels a lot the same when it goes off in your hand

    And it makes Elisa giggle

  • $50? Outstanding. That is a deal.

  • I agree with Jeffrey1960. That's definitely a Kentucky Pistol, either .45 or .50 cal. Can't tell it's exact caliber from the angle you filmed it at but it's identity is unmistakable. I also agree, it looks like a Traditions fit and finish. I'm neither here nor their with Traditions revolvers, but I gotta admit they do a REALLY good job on the fit and finish on their sidelocks.

For $50 you got a good deal my friend. Is he selling any more? If so, I'll take one! :)

  • Well Obama is sure taking the wind out of the country!! YES HE CAN !!! bash our country and slowly dismantle it from within. Oh and what CHANGE ?? For the worse obviously.

  • why dont you do more Conservative vids?

did Obamas election take the wind from your sails?

wait a minute ...yes we did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fuck obama

    just thought id say it

    fuck obama

  • I have no idea what it is, but it's cool. I was surprised at how straight a cap and ball gun shoot the first time I tried one.

  • I had one like this.. not same though.... years ago. I shot it a few times and it was so cool to shoot. My suggestion is take it to a gun show or a gun shop, and see if anyone can help you.

Probably worth what you paid for it, maybe another 100 on top of what you paid. Get advise before you shoot it though. You need ball (right Cal. of course), patch, Black powder for the barrel, and special powder for the flash pan, as well as caps. You cleean with soap and water. u can find instructions online

  • It's a caplock, not a flintlock....no flash pan. It uses #11 percussion caps instead of FFFFg primer powder. Same as that CVA kit revolver you showed us a while back in a previous vid.

I love BP pistols...extremely accurate. I can take my .357 to the range and at 15 yards I'm lucky to get an 6 inch group. But take my Uberti Dragoon I can get 5 inch groups at 30 yards all day long. I love it.

  • It looks like a dueling pistol... usually they come in a set of two.

  • Nice looking gun!

  • Nice gun, and it looks old timey ..! 5 stars for it!

  • It's jack swallows gun LOL. Acually I have no idea voodoo

  • I thought it was sparow

  • I like it! Fuck Obama!

  • I'll have to get my husband to watch your video. He may know.

  • yeah any gun for $50 is a good deal in my opinion as long as its not broken, lol, having a cool historical piece replica or not rounds out any nice collection...whether you use it or not you know...

  • Not a clue.

  • watch you could take it to one of those antique shows on tv and find out it is worth thousands of dollars. :) i don't know what it is, but you got a good deal anyway, i think.

  • Beautiful gun. Take it to a gun dealer or gun collector they should know. Or not. lol 5 stars

  • Hey bro, I have looked into it for you, the 2 things that I found out it that it is American Made, and it is a replica of a french gin....I contacted Robert Barrett from the Smithsonian Museum of American History, I sent him a picture I cut out from your video and might be contacting me within the week....if anything send me your email so you can contact him directly when he gets back to me...

  • Don't know what it is, but it's still badass looking.

  • hmmmm???

    rock on-space

  • That's a Glock 18...duh =P

lol my video is first in the related videos

  • No little markings under the wood?

  • I dont really have the proper tools to take it apart and I would hate mar it up

  • You have a good gunsmith, Rich? If you do, he's got the tools and you could get the answer you need under the wood.

But if you don't find any writing, then I'm thinking it's a custom job. A beautiful piece that someone worked hard to achieve...but you don't know how well it'll shoot.

Is it even safe to fire?

Have it checked out, I say. What's the steel on that barrel? Who knows. Play safe buddy.

    A real beauty though. Cheers!

  • @Gungeek Well, Let's see here------It is a copy of a Kentucky Pistol. You are correct in that it is modern made. I would guess a kit, and if I had to guess who sold it, the first place I would check is Dixie Gun Works in Tennessee. The lack of any markings whatsoever might lead me to believe that it could be a one of by a good maker. Especially since it is a target pistol with adjustable sights. I kind of lean to the latter possibility. If a kit gun, $ 150-200, if custom, 500+.

  • Hey, a mystery! Might it originally be a custom job by a gunsmith, rather than a kit assembly?

Also, is any (safe) disassembly possible, to look for hidden maker's marks on the concealed components?

And does it appear to have ever been fired, before? Might say something about its history if it has or hasn't.

Hope you find out. Let us know! =^[.]^=

  • I dont really have the proper tools to take it apart and I would hate mar it up. I do not think that it has ever been fired...

  • nice... when's the next real life coming out?

  • pretty sweet=]...You need to make more videos MBV!

    Richard ;)

  • NICE
