  • ARMY ROTC NIGGAS

  • I cant wait to go. I have one year left of school and im off to a new life. I'm leaving Louisiana and I don't plan to come back.

  • @KBarStudio you're in for a rude awakening

  • FUCKING PLANES GODDAMN IT.

  • 16 people coundlnt finish basic XD

  • Back in '97, they called it, "body hardening". Thody hardening that's when you walked down the DI highway and got snatched the #$%^ up.

  • lol well uh i can promise you that if you think there not gonna cus at you..you are very wrong i can not describe how wrong

  • im only 16 is there anyway i can get a taste of what its like befor i join?>??

  • @TheOvechkin23 Yes, if you go to your local recruiting station, they would be more than happy to let you get a taste of boot camp, without signing anything. A lot of times recruiters will have drill instructors come out to PT sessions and give the future recruits a taste of what it is like.

  • @Joshjames1234 what if ur 15?

  • @callerofmusic You're still fine...they just can't have you sign anything.

  • @Joshjames1234 I am 16 as well but I asked my friend who is a Poolee and he said that you have to be 17 to PT. Is that true?

  • @TheOvechkin23 Consider joining the Civil Air Patrol, Sea Cadets or a Jr ROTC unit.

  • @Jane14161 i am im in JROTC in my highschool but its the airforce their still pretty strict but nothing compared to the marines rotc unit

  • @TheOvechkin23 You are getting a good sense of what things are like with a good JROTC program. It may not be exactly the same, but the differences are marginal.

  • @Jane14161 alright thanks for the advice i was looking at norwitch university do you know anything about that colledge?

  • @TheOvechkin23 devilpups kiddo...

  • @TheOvechkin23 If you live in southern California or the Carolinas you may have the opportunity to have a real DI come out to a DEP function as a poolee. My recruiting station, being far from either MCRD, didn't do this. Don't get too worked up about boot camp. You'll feel a MAJOR culture shock, but boot camp isn't meant to make recruits fail, just to push their limits. Boot camp is designed to be psychologically and mentally challenging much more than physically.

  • Fighting Israel's wars.

  • Who else felt like a badass on family days? When in reality we weren't shit yet. And to wsteph1: I graduated MCRD in '06, this to me looks like the DIs putting on a show for family day. Which seems weird because when I was there the DIs would keep us as far away from the parade deck as possible to avoid the families.

  • Wow... lots of comments... in the Marine Corps we do not say hours at the end of times... just simply 0600 or 1215 for example

  • I cannot wait for july 2012, I will go to basic at the age of 19, I just wish,i could have gone sooner

  • @HodgesRob Why couldn't you go sooner?

  • @Joshjames1234 Most people that enlist in current times get similar ship dates. It most depends on the needs of the service. It also depends on what jobs you are interested in getting. It is to your advantage to have some time before you go. Not only does it give you plenty of time with your parents, when you are in the DEP weekly workouts are held to physically prepare you for boot camp. It also gives you the chance to memorize the ranks and general orders which keep the DI's off your ass a lot

  • @Joshjames1234 when can you go to basic training i mean what age

  • @alexhinojosa971 Oh ok....yeah you must be at least 17 with parental approval.

  • @HodgesRob

i arrive monday at parris island...good luck man

  • @HodgesRob Marines have Boot Camp not Basic

  • @HodgesRob leave same time. July 16. Its boot not basic by the way.

  • @925esp I graduated July 15th lol, July 16 is a saturday, thats an odd day to leave

  • @HodgesRob I went when I was 20 its not that big of a deal.

  • @GodZxSAINT

    oh ok ,thanks,didnt know

  • I remember when I got my initial brief... I was just sitting there like "Oh poops..."

  • Whoa... a Drill Instructor talking to people like human beings... never thought I'd see the day.

  • What a waste of a training day. This was a dog and pony for the civilians and nothing of value could have been gained during that day except for political reassurance as a recruitment tool.

  • @hellbent4bass Waste of a training day? It was drill instructor family day...between their cycles.

  • Man I HATED boot camp. I HATED all the yelling and screaming. I wanted punch my DI's right in the face. I would to this day. Did 8 years in the Corps. I remember getting to Camp Pendleton and going on liberty in San Diego. My buddies would all say, "LETS GO TO MCRD AND WATCH THE RECRUITS DRILL!" What??? HELL NO! I wanted NO PART of going back to MCRD after I graduated. They can have it.

  • stupid question ,can you smoke there some place ?

  • What the hell is going on here?

When I was at MCRD San Diego in 1981 it was a lot rougher than what I just saw on that clip. Screaming, cussing,a good smacking around when necessary.

There was none of this "if you feel that you've been abused in any way then report it" crap. I truly hope that this show was strictly for the civilians that were there.

I hate to believe that today's Marine recruits have it so easy.

  • @wsteph1 These guys going through now DO have it easier in many ways. Different world, different society, different kinds of wars, different Marine Corps to adjust with the times. No matter HOW you slice it up, these devil dogs today are the most WELL TRAINED, most WELL ARMED and EQUIPT and the most motivated Marines to hit the fleet since I was in the Corps.

  • @wsteph1 Maybe it's because the girls have made them go soft over the years, that and the mothers.

  • @wsteph1 I can assure you, what I recorded is only what the civilians were allowed to see. This video does not accurately depict what actually happens behind the scenes. You can sleep easy.

  • @wsteph1 Yeah dude they aren't gonna hit a civilian taking a tour, when I was at PI last summer my senior took my canteen and jammed it into my throat in turn slamming me into the bulkhead for a nice spit slash choke session. Oooorah, all the old guys always think they had it worse. Don't worry your Corps is in good hands.

  • @wsteph1 Well I went in 07, and yes they said that, in the initial brief..but what happened after that brief goes along with what you are talking about.

  • @wsteph1 you are a dipshit I went to boot camp in 2006 and can assure you its just as bad as ever they just keep it very secretive. Obviously they arent going to show what goes on behind the scenes to civilians. I agree that this video makes boot camp look soft.

  • @wsteph1 It was a show for the families. You have to pretty it up a bit. I went through in 2004, trust me it is still everything you mentioned. Maybe a little less due to Mothers of America

  • @wsteph1 Today's Marines are trained the right way. It may not be the "Old Corps", and it's certainly become less stressful since I went to boot camp. But the reason for the censorship is not because recruits are weaker, its because there are civilians watching. Does everyone need to see what really goes on when eyes arent on the drill instructors? That would ruin the point of Marine Corps Recruit Training. If everyone saw all aspects of boot camp, we wouldn't be any better than the others

  • @wsteph1 i think you were looking for this /watch?v=uekMTvbofq4 paste that after the youtube thingy

  • @wsteph1 I just went through training at Parris Island recently and I can assure you its still just like that lol

  • @wsteph1 no the real training is done behind the scenes theres always a show because of politics but yes it has gotten softer

  • @wsteph1 i just got back they still smack the shit outta you, cuss kick and choke you i didnt think they could but when we got there it was on

  • Comment removed

  • @wsteph1 The person filming was in the guest area where they just give civilians tours. That's why it seems so easy.

  • @wsteph1 by law they arnt alowed to cusss, or hit the recruits.... but thank you for your service

  • @wsteph1

When the civilians aren't around you might wanna think twice about that comment

  • @wsteph1 While I was never hit, I can guarantee you boot camp today is just as tough as it was back then - I went through in 2001. This video is PC because these people are still civilians and not recruits. Just a reminder, Sgt. Dakota Meyer came out of this era of boot camp.

  • are you retarted? i went to camp july25th and in hotel c bootcamp isnt like that what they show in this video its just like how you had it nothing different you cant tell whats going on behide closed doors this video is pile of shit

  • @wsteph1 I trained recruits as a Field Instructor, PMI, and MCCMAP Instructor, and also serve in Iraq as an 0311 with some of "the new recruits". They might not get treated as they used to, to some extend, but the results we are gettting in combat and the way this Marines carry themselves speaks for itself. No such thing as Old Corps and New Corps buddy, we all bleed the same way.

  • @wsteph1 sir...from what i hear from friends.......they still do it..just not in front of cameras. you know what i mean?

  • @wsteph1 My friend went to MCRD San Diego in 1960. He said people in the 80's had it easy as fuck compared to what he did. Every new generation has it easier than the previous one. Life has always been like that. Keep crying about pussy. Your bootcamp was easy as fuck compared to what my friend did...fag

  • @cellardoor199991 It's not that every generation has it easier; what happens is our perspective changes, and of course it seems easier once you finish it and move on. You haven't earned the title Marine, and only have your "friend's experience" to support your argument. With all due respect, considering you don't speak from personal experience, your points are invalid.

  • @Joshjames1234 it IS that every generation has it easier. It's always been like that and always will be. Di used to beat the shit outta recruits and have what's called the Motivation Course that is now illegal. Recruits used to wakup at 3am now it's 5-6am and sleep in earlier than before. I was a rescue swimmer who trained with Marines that shit is 10x easier than what it was 30yrs. ago. I used to work at UPS when I was a kid that shit is easier than it was in 1950. Everything is easier now.

  • @cellardoor199991 Maybe, but again, everything you know about the Marines is secondhand -- you have no personal experience. You are correct in that things are different now; DIs don't beat recruits like they did in the past. But physical fitness and moral standards are the highest they have ever been. Way back when, applicants could join even if they had served time in jail, or just got a GED.

  • @Joshjames1234 Tattoos? You can't join if you have sleeves, and even any visible tattoos could prevent you from special duties, such as drill instructor, recruiter, or MSG. Also, bootcamp today is longer than it has ever been in the past. Why does this matter? Because being away from family, friends, and society is mentally challenging. This helps future Marine prepare for being away on deployment for long periods of time.

  • @Joshjames1234 Finally, Marine boot camp didn't even exist until the 1900s.That's right, our first Marines didn't even go through any type of formal training like we have today. Boot camp has evolved -- for better and worse -- since its inception. In 1997, the Crucible was created to act as the final test for a recruit before he can bear the title Marine. General Gray initiated the MCT program, a month-long course designed to give Marine THAT much more familiarity with the intricacies of war.

  • @cellardoor199991 The nation's Corps has had its fair share of heroes in every generation; from Archibald Henderson to John Basilone, from Lejeune to Jason Dunham. Remember, Sgt Dakota Meyer came from this "new era" of boot camp. The details may change, but Marines don't.

  • @Joshjames1234 I guess but my Staff Sergent Instructors in Aircrew told all of us how bootcamp is much easier now and they used to fuck with the PFC's in the class saying how much easier that shit is. My brother told me the same thing. He was MArine of the Year while I was going through Aircrew school. My point is that Bootcamp, of all branches, is not 100% as hard as it used to be. I think I'm right about this.

  • @wsteph1 I can promise you, this is not at all what todays boot camp is like. Not a single DI was this nice. haha

  • @wsteph1 sir the reason the abused in any way report it bit was in there was to appease some marine mothers orginization when i was there i got smacked around cussed at screamed at and when i went to the pit i came back black (im white btw) (and i went in 2011)

  • @wsteph1 hey...small world, i'm 1981/ july MCRD san diego alumni also....i've been tryn to track down some old buddies...we may know each other. Hco series 2061

  • @wsteph1 Oh it is trust me lol the difference between San Diego and Parris Island is that one has a legacy and lets no one pass, the other lets civilians and hollywood stars come by and look around, but I think they both get the job done.

  • Good job on this! thanks for sharing it.. you will love being a Marine! Semper Fi

  • 1:02 is that GySgt Robinson? 5:33 Sgt Stricker? Oh god

  • Comment removed

  • im gonna be honest...the corp fucked me over i didnt get my money when i got out...now im just bitter

  • Plt. 1075 B company lead series 6/6/99. Recruit Cronower is coughing. SSGT McWilliams acuses him of being sent by Russia to destroy boot camp.

  • why is it that when you talk to people who have been through boot camp they tell you it was one of the hardest things they've ever done and have good story's about it too, but when you look up a video or do some internet research they give you real nice and easy stuff to want to get more people to think, hey this is pretty easy i'm going to go join now, Ears, Open, Eyeballs, Click, I've watched it which is pretty real and i still am joining, starting the enlistment process this summer.

  • That recruit got off easay when the DI was ordering to go here and there. Must have been before they start the Intensive Training because then that DI is gonna SMOKE him!!!

  • @Slingudwig or they were just doin it cause they had civies visiting??? idk

  • Marines are the top dog

  • i spent 5 years in the marine corps. loved it. but one thing boot camp didnt prepare me to survive is the air force. since i am getting my bsn i decided to join the air force and continue serving but it is a completely different beast.

  • @dd4406 That's so weird...why wouldn't Marine boot camp prepare you for the Air Force? Strange...

  • @Joshjames1234 the marine corps teaches you how to be a marine. so far what i have noticed is the air force speaks a different language. they treat rank differently. overall how they do things is completely different than the marine corps. i prefer and still call myself a marine... even though i wear a different uniform now

  • Army,ammo spraying praying

    Air force ,coffee mug sippers

    Navy, indoor nannys

MARINES ,KILL THE ENEMY NO PRISONERS ALLOWED!

  • @Joshjames1234 He's not used to no PT at 0530. He wakes up and does push ups but it's just not the same.

  • @Joshjames1234 Maybe because it's a different branch and they do things differently, I spent 8 years in the Marine Corps

  • @Joshjames1234 Because, They didnt teach him how to work a computer in the marine corps!!! jkjkjkjkjk i love all of our military without them we are nothing... *caugh caugh* *semper-fidelis* xD

  • SAME EXCACT SHIP DATE!!! SHIP OFF SEPTEMBER 12TH GET THE THE 13TH!

  • @34steelers36 just a reminder, all recruits are under orders to not disclose departure times ordates, or any other information of the presence or absence or recruits or marines

  • @kingmigget Not true. All lies. And the second part of your comment makes no sense.

  • @Joshjames1234 look up OPSEC dude.

  • @kingmigget Don't worry, this is allowed. There are plenty of documentaries on Marine boot camp that show more than this. Check out "Ears, Open. Eyeballs, Click."

  • @Joshjames1234 no not you josh, i meant him posting his shipdate violates OPSEC, i know filming at MCSD is fine

  • @ 6:29 girl has a booty!

  • @Zomb131 LOL!!! Yeah, she shoulda wore slacks that day!

  • Why does the Drill Instructor looks like he's dancing. LMAO.

  • Home of the brave, and home of the tough, Semper Fi "Always faithful" and that's no bluff !!. They're mighty and true, they protect our freedom for me and you. Honor Courage and commitment is what they're taught to do. It's all about protecting the red, the white and the blue!!!. Marines will never retreat, break or bend, they're ready to fight, attack and defend. I respect our military, and proud to say,God Bless this country and our brave men and women from the USMC OoooH Raahh all day!

  • how much earn a marine in the usa?

  • 8:10 roflmao

  • Im going to school first. Then become a officer in the NAVY.

  • LOL 1:06 my senior drill instructor GySgt Livingston

  • WW2 - Stalingrad. A perfect example of the importance of REMF's.

  • every marine is a rifleman first

  • I just came back from a USMC Educator's Workshop and learned at the person stated above that those in the band are Marines first and have a MOS. The band is an honor and elective. They don't "just" play in the band. But really, they are Marines, why are you downing them? They go through the toughest boot camp and are ALL warriors!

  • just go 03 if your 17 to 23 your gettin picked as recon for sure they like young faces they get to use for 5 years.

  • Thanks for your picture of the head. It is so clean, the Virgin Mary herself would be proud to go in there and take a dump.

  • If you are civilian you will never see or know anything about Marine Corps boot camp, you could not handle it. This coming from a former Marine who went to boot camp 25 years ago.

  • No offense but why are you going to go into the Worlds best fighting force and be in the band?

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 Unlike the other services, Marine musicians are Marines first. Not everyone has to be an 0311 to see combat, get a Purple Heart, or serve their country honorably.

  • @Joshjames1234 sorry but unless you qualify expert with your saxophone your not going to see any combat!

  • @m2gunner50 Not true. I personally know Marine musicians with combat action ribbons. Shoot, my senior drill instructor in boot camp was an admin with a CAR w/ a gold star, in lieu of a second award.

  • @Joshjames1234 Ok I see where your coming from, Im not in yet I just wouldnt follow your path personally but its all good man

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 Good to go. Hey, best of luck with your enlistment. Boot camp is a blast.

  • @Joshjames1234 fuck no its not

  • @Joshjames1234

Atta boy! Not just anyone can be a Marine...even in the band. To me, the Marine band are just dressed up Marines that will take a trombone and cram it up the enemy's rear if they had to! Semper Fi!

  • @Joshjames1234 Agreed. I was a 2311, ammo tech with 1/5, CAR in Baghdad OIF 1 2003, and again in Fallujah OIF 2 2004. Did 3 tours to Iraq, most grunts can't say that.

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 Can I go ahead and say that Marines are "riflemen first"?

  • @ughfup No a Rifleman has on 0311 MOS.

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 ... Just Google it "A Marine is a rifleman first". It is probably THE most basic tenet of the Marine Corps.

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 The 1st Marine Division band becomes a heavy weapons platoon for the Commanding General (CG) in combat! In 2003 while I was over there they band saw more action than most other units because the CG was constantly traveling!

  • @jacobsonnr Im just saying if you want to actually fight as a Marine, band probably isnt the best path to that goal.

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 Dude... the Marine Corps is an evolved military force. My two football coaches, both Marines, were deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. One was an administrative clerk and the other was in airframes, and both saw combat, and both fought. No doubt about it, infantry fights, but I know a few dudes from my high school who joined infantry and have yet to be deployed. Everyone fights...

  • @Raging3Inches Thats true, but my point is why join the worlds most elite fighting force and tell people you are a clerk, or you are in supply? You might as well skip the military and go work at Wal Mart counting crates or at a local law firm being a clerk or secretary.

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 Every part of the military is essential no matter what. If everyone joins to be a rifleman, who is going to support them? Every elite fighting force in the world has a supply unit. I understand your point, but the Marine Corps or any other military in the world doesn't run on infantry. The weapons used by the Seals are maintained, cleaned, and adjusted by rear-echelon people. You don't have to fight to serve your country honorably. Everyone does their part in their own way.

  • @Raging3Inches I know, but if you are a capable male why would you choose to sit in the back while other men risk their lifes?

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 Your question is completely invalid. You simply don't understand that the military needs people in all areas to maintain an EFFECTIVE force. By the way, it wasn't just infantry units that have fought and died and "risk their lives", non-combat units and units that are predominantly female have fought in the Iraq and Afghanistan and have also died.

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 Also, have you ever considered that infantry is also the most competitive job selection in the Marine Corps? The military can't have 10,000 recruits going infantry and 200 going to supply, the military will try to accommodate with what you want to do, but in the end they will place you where they need you. Infantry also has the most contract reassignments and their orders are frequently changed.

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 "world's best"...there is a questionable statement if ever i heard one

  • @wartmcbeighn name another fighting force that is as good as the Marine Corps. Please. I would love to know.

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 The US Marines are the best fighting force the United States MIlitary has, but they are not the best fighting force in the world, there are other units in the world that would be in front of the US Marines for that particular distinction

  • @wartmcbeighn Uh... No buddie, the best fighting force in the US is not the USMC. As you know, the USMC is part of the NAVY. SFOD-D is by far the group that is kept in the closet, if you see what mean, Dont forget about, the Army Rangers, Army Special Forces, and DevGru(Seal Team Six)

  • @hazeces Well you did say the marines are the best fighting force in teh world, to which I would disagree...and by naming other units you are thinking are better, can still name forces that are the equal of or better than a SEAL team or SFOD-D or rangers......btw..Delta force, as much as they would like to be elite and such, are still nowhere in the same league as teh SAS, SBS, GSG-9,....Delta force, where the helicopter pilots in operation urgent fury got charged with cowardice

  • Delta Force....um, not that good..pilots from delta force charged with cowardice in operation urgent fury, adn as a unit, no way comparable to SBS, SAS, or GSG-9 units to start with. Rangers arent too bad, and SEAL Team 6..just another seal team, which are good and capable. The best troops, general infantry the US has are the Marines, eth best special forces in the US would have to be the Rangers.

  • @hazeces Marines are under the department of the navy, but they are not part of "the navy" they have a close relationship though

  • @wartmcbeighn America is the most powerful military force in the world and the Marines are the best infantry in America. Therefore, a US Marine is the most deadly infantry in the world. (general infantry, not special forces)

  • @mxandfootball The Us has some, not all but some of the best military equipment in the world, but its troops are definately not the best trained in the world....the US marines are the best infantry the US military has, however, they are not the best in the world...nice that you think so, but many would disagree. The US military is generally regarded in the world community as having some very nice equipment, but the troops...leave a lot to be desired.

  • @wartmcbeighn not tryin to be a butt hole... but I can't think of one nation (other than Israel cause they are beast) that could compare to America's military.

  • @mxandfootball In terms of well trained troops, contries that have just as well if not better trained troops...hmmm...England, Canada,Greece, France, Russia, Netherlands, Sweden, India, Germany, Japan, Turkey, Republic of Korea, Brazil, Spain, Saudi arabia, Australia, etc. The US Marines are good, no disputing that, but Royal Marines are just a bit more beastly.

  • @wartmcbeighn france.. your kidding me right? Koreans are beast. Brits are beast. Germans are beast. but those being better trained than Marines? Idk bout that. In Iraq a platoon of British Army (I know they are not marines, but still) were under seige and they were running out of ammo. They passed out rounds to kill themselves if the house was taken. Marines would say "screw it. fix beyonettes" (sp?) I would much rather go out in a blaze of glory than kill myself...

  • @mxandfootball maybe not so much Koreans...never heard of the incident you mentioned at all...am sure it might have been in the news at some point...but it wasnt. As for troops better trained than Marines, apart from Royal marines, SBS. SAS, FFL, and more than a few others...it's nice to have the best toys, but if the men arent trained that well......

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 Hmm lets see, the Gurkas, Royal Marines, Skinners horse, The Special Boat Squadron, French foreign legion...those are a good start and there are more

  • @n8vySEALspwn247 right like your going in to fight not to play in a band

  • @CKYF001 Correct

  • Good Video of MRCD San Diego.

  • Oh man, just seeing the old barracks brings back memories, especially the smell. MCRD San Diego just has this unique, unforgettable smell.

  • @silenthillish2 Good to see another Canadian Soldier here dropping respect for the USMC. Those of us that have served alongside of them abroad know that they are excellent warriors and its a bloddy good thing they are on our side.

That being said, having served alongside them I realised 1 thing. The only thing that a marine needs fighting alongside of them is a tank from the RCAC.

Max respect, guys. Keep your heads down at the front and NEVER compromise.

  • Great video . . . brings back so many memories!! Semper Fi!!

  • cant wait to b a marine! i hope i get to go to san diego for boot camp

  • @baseballcountry5 Depends on where you live. My son is a Marine, and his boot was at Parris Island, SC. We went down to watch him graduate and it was so emotional for me. I served in the Army, and ANYONE that serves has my respect!

  • I miss those days

  • Damn, this brings back memories.........

  • It's weird to hear them talk like normal people if you have ever been through that

  • Ok at 2:35..that little introduction was quite different than what I remember. lol

  • I remember it like it was yesterday... I used the last phone furthest from the right at 7:30

  • i miss drill

  • >.< Why is everyone arguing over little things!! Drill Sgts are in the ARMY and INSTRUCTORS ARE ADDRESSED TO MARINES

  • @GalaktikBurst Precisely.

  • I'm sorry but at 2:40 is just a fail copy of R. Lee Ermey in "full metal jacket"

  • @GomerPyleFTW R. Lee Ermey got that speech from boot camp, since that's the same speech that every recruit hears on black friday.

  • i honestly dont remeber going threw any of that i went threw boot camp october 21 2007 and graduated january 18 2008 you loose track of time its like you are a little kid again but the training is the best thing ever semper fi

  • i go in 155 days OORAH!!!!!

  • ive been waiting for 12 years to join! i have to more years to go and ill finally get to go! :D but why are the years going soooo slow????? D:

  • 60 More days, and I'll be there. Oorrrahh

  • Can't wait 'till I leave for Marine Corps bootcamp! Counting down the days! (Lots of em left.) I'll be up in Parris Island though. My Young Marines drill instructor is a "Hollywood Marine" along with his brother and sister. Oorah!

  • So these are the ''Hollywood'' Marines huh? Thanks to all the men and women out there risking their ass so we can sleep good at night. Peace!

  • 1:50 thats just embarrassing you should be able to do some pull ups without any help

  • @deathworm123 Unassisted pull-ups are easy, until you do sets of 5 pull-ups with 10 push-ups in between. It's an endurance exercise. You keep going until you are unable to physically do any more by yourself.
