@samuelonthewall ha ha you are a champion kind sir! you are a regular prophet! who posts a comment like this on such a cool video? a twisted person that who! i know this was forever ago elder richards but its awesome that you served in boise! p.s. i get my call this coming wednesday! i'm pumped!
I was going to share this with a friend on his facebook page and have him watch it because he served in the Boise misision. But it's only funny if you see the guys reaction without knowing where he is going. When I posted it it shows up with a written description which spoils the whole thing.
ANyone know of any version of this with no spoilers in the description? lol
The Lord is not pleased with the way the church is being run right now. He sent a devastating tornado that ripped through Temple Square back in 1999. It is reminder that we all need to repent, members and leaders alike. Go watch, "The LDS Awakening" to see the devastation caused by the tornado.
HEY I KNOW THIS GUY! i think he was in the Singles 7th ward. I live in Boise, ID (which is not beautiful, sorry) but if i remember well i know him, not very well but i was part of that ward. So funny see him here. CONGRATS!
@gatsby121 it was his nightmare too. this guy is one of my best friends and the entire day we were joking about him going to boise or salt lake. after the shock he was ok with it because he was going on a mission and he didnt care. he's been in the field now for almost 6 months and he has told me some CRAZY stories about the people he teaches. so he's definitely not a bored missionary.
Hey, what if two Missionaries don't get along? Are there personality assessments or anything? I would freak out if I had to spend so much time with someone I did not get along with!
@bikeguy98 no there is no personality assesment hehe. Basically when you are on your mission you are assigned a companion and its your duty to be able to work together. Both missionaries should be focused on there missions so much that it really shouldnt matter. My siblings that have been on their missions have told me that companions they didnt get along with too well taught them even more, like learning to adapt to situations and meeting new people and in the end they are SUCH good freinds :)
There are some questions that determine where you go when you fill out the missionary papers. Questions such as, do you speak a foreign language? It is not a random selection, Church leaders are directed by the Spirit determining where you should go.
Good for you!!!All the best, Elder...I'm not even LDS but I think it's super you are willing to dedicate 2 years of your life for God...those blessings will get you through any difficult times. I love the LDS missionaries-you'll be in my prayers.

Do elders and sisters have preliminary choices as to where they want to carry out their missions, or is it just a random selection process?
