Freeman and wilder at FSU= the return of the glory days. And if you haven't seen Devonta Freeman yet look for the fuss 6A championship game. He only ran for 310 and 3 tds.
@Dustin8569 You must be joking. You forget that Eddie George is 6'3, and Arian Foster/Adrian Pererson both are around 6'1 1/2-2. He'll do fine at RB. We need a bruiser back to close out games. He and Devonta Freeman are gonna give opposing defenses fits and dc's headache's for the next three seasons at least (hopefully a fourth). The Florida State Seminoles Are On A Warpath!!
He didnt play well on ESPN last night. His O line was weak to his credit but Blakley from Manatee high looked much better. Does anyone else think his height will hurt him as an RB? 6'2"?
FSU is going to luckily get him. He will play his favorite position which is running back. Get aready UF and miami... Florida State is slowly getting better and will contend for the Championship title very soon.
@DApostalz777 I can see where u r coming from when u say Reggie Bush is a bust. I wouldnt go as far as calling him a bust tho.. he is certainley not what he was in college..and everyone can see that. But he DID have the upper hand in college because He had the talent of an NFL player..while 90% of the guys around him never made it to the NFL. I dont see this kid going into the NFL and DOMINATING. His size is helping him a lot..He wont always be the biggets guy on the field.
@ShaqTheGreat356 . I can see where you're coming from. His offensive skill reminds me of the college-era Reggie Bush. When Reggie was in college he had the upper hand because he had the NFL skill. But now that he's in the NFL he doesnt stand out so much. Even though he IS still a great running back. I think that when this guy gets to college he wont be AS dominant, but i think he'll end up like the former Ohio State running back Chris "Beanie" Wells. Thats just my input. But hey.. Im only 14(:
@DrSexyZebra LOL@ Reggie Bush is super overratted. Eddie Gran coached backs that wasn't Ahayah Gifted as this young man. Gran send Cad. Williams, Ronnie Brown, Brandon Jacobs, Duece McCallister and several big name backs to the pros. Bush played in a weak Pac 10 with super talent around him. Wilder should dominate in the ACC & to da NFL. Bush never had tha upper hand @ all. Warren Sapp predict he'll be a buss & it's true. Wilder will be da next Eric Dickerson (Hall of Famer unlikely Bush)
Cant wait to see this guy play. His hits are a little high (which if alright for going at the QB to block out any vision, thus taking away the possibility of an acurate pass) But you can tell that his hits hurt. The most impressive thing i saw out of him was he always HIT THE HOLE. When he saw the the "gut" of the line was filled with defensive players, instead of bouncing to the outside like you see most modern day RBs do, he put his head down and used his strength and size to break free.
Pad level a little high on defense but it's correctable and the thing that impressed me most was how he never gave up on his runs, even when he was being stood up by a whole group. Toughness and determination is something you can't teach. Also poor little bitchboy @2:03 get's trucked, nice try buddy haha
@dwortz27 Exactly what I was thinking on the pad level, though I was also impressed with how often he made sure to wrap up his guy instead of always going for the big hit. And his pursuits on defense are awesome - the same "never give up" attitude.
This kid is an exceptional athlete that plays with an old school attitude. Something we don't see too often anymore. If he plays defense in college he will need to learn to play at a lower pad level, but I am looking forward to seeing what he can do at FSU.
I'm more impressed with this guy on the defensive side of the ball. He has the height and frame to add bulk and would serve as an excellent outside linebacker or defensive end.
Not at all like Greg Jones. Jones was bigger, faster, stronger, quicker, nastier. I never will understand why FSU put Jones back in a game AFTER he hurt his knee so he hurts it worse. Never was the same after that.
hes good but i hope his line is getting some college offers as well, some of those runs hes getting he doesnt even get touched, o-line is doing alot of the work. hope he realises that!!! O.L.P baby!!!
@havs84 all those teams QB's hold onto the ball a lot longer than they should, thus getting sacked over and over...thats what jorville was talkin about.
@jorvillegator what r u smoking? the teams he is playing are some of the best in the state. Look up Manatee, Lakeland, and Armwood and then you can talk to us about how "dominant" you would be playing these teams...
not the most athletic prospect i've seen...but his willpower, durability, and just giving 110% on every play is the best i've seen in a long time...and thats the exact type of player FSU needs a leader like this...great recruiting noles
As a RB he's no Greg Jones, I just don't see the explosion. Sure he's got power but where's the burst & breakaway speed? He'll end up either a FB, LB, or DE.
looks like an Earl Campbell in the making....refuses to go down and will only get stronger and faster...Lacks the elite speed but by the time he is a college freshman the 4.6 will turn into a 4.48 which for a 6'3 235(by the time he leaves for the pros) is FAST..To be very honest I as amazing as he is as a RB he has 1st round written all over him at OLB...At RB its Steven Jackson or Rashan Salaam at OLB its Demarcus Ware Guaranteed
Reading you all's comments are you forgetting that you are watching a 16-17 year old KID, that is displaying talents that most D-1 JR's and SR's rarely display. Just look at the sideline to sideline pursuit of the play, the ability to shed blockers and find the ball from the backside. And as far as his offensive game goes, sure there is still a lot of work to be done but consider me impressed...
He runs high all the time and takes too much punishment. Pretty descent speed, doesn't seem like it but take a look at the yards he covers with fewer strides. Think Brandon Jacobs of NYGiants. Big bruisers don't last long. He also lacks the finesse of running with the ball. His instincts are really great and his balance. He would make a great outside linebacker in a 3-4. Great motor and relentless. He makes it as a LB or not at all.
He's too slow for a RB, but he sure breaks a lot of tackles. Wouldn't work against premier NFL defenses. I think he'll do better as a LB if he builds up his frame.
superb balance, but he's running at 180 degrees and he's hitting the hole like he's kissing his grandma. Day 1, Drill 1 at FSU-- he's going to get his s**t lit by some big, mean collegiate LB. The times that he IS lowering the pads, he's twisting his shoulders... this kid is gonna have some nasty injuries if the coaching staff doesn't polish him up.
Remember children, just because you're bigger and stronger than everyone else, doesn't mean you can throw technique out the window. s**t catches up
For all those that are saying he "doesn't have elite speed" you're failing to account for the fact that he's 6'3". He's taking fewer strides so he looks slower. Watch him pull away on any of his runs against far smaller players in this video. Of course a 5'8" back is going to look faster than a 6'3" back, when really he's just churning his shorter legs faster. A 4.7 as a HS junior with a 6'3" 200+ lb. frame he hasn't grown into yet is FAST.
Although his skills at runningback is awesome,I think his future should be on the defensive end of the ball...I just can't get over his pursuit and his reads on plays..Whatever the case, he is definately a well-rounded threat that will strike fear in any and all who is standing on the opposite end of the ball...!!!
kid is a beast cant wait to see him in college. he is a man amongst boys in this vid thats for sure. kind of reminds me a little of vince young when runs ONLY because it looks like he really isn't trying hes a lot faster than he looks when hes running. he is way more physical than VY so dont point that out to me save ur breath I know this.
the song is by styles of beyond. i forget the name of the song i believe its called you cannot F*$! with this. its off the razor tag mixtapethough. that cd is sick....its a whiteboy you heard!
he does not look like a major division 1 football player on the offensive side of the ball....his size strength and athletic ability doesnt really show too much on offense as it could say as a OLB in a 3-4 defense...once a big time team can put him through their workouts and get him to 6-3 240 with that speed he will be an all-american no doubt, hopefully a team puts him on defense and doesnt ruin his career on offense
GA should move right up after this weekend. We need a RB back, and he also fits Grantham's OLB/stand up DE perfectly. He said he loves the standup DE although leaning towards RB. Considering Aaron Murray and Orson Charles are from the same high school, I say we have a real shot at him. Kid is a beast, so I think GA leaves both options on the table this weekend.
The only team he could play running back for is bama. He plays way to high, he's not that fast but is a BIG DUDE. I am a gator fan and honestly would not want him at RB, I dont think its his best position.P.S. to all the ppl who say UF doesnt run, thats because we had a QB who ran all the time, watch out this year without a running QB (besides the tim tebow clone freshmen). Look for a thousand yard rusher and 2 800 + rushers to boost the RB recruiting. Miami's o-line sucks and it showed.
@jvallstar36 I think that you could easily got Jeff Demps over 1000 but you may be pushing it with two more 800 yard rushers. i figure Demps around 1200 moody maybe 5 or 600 and mack brown about 2 or 300. Still a pretty good year for your running game
He will be either FSU or Bama BOUND. Florida doesnt run the kind of offense he will excell in. The spread is not for him hes is a smash mouth between the tackles runner. If he chose to play strictly D he would probably go to UF. That said its either FSU Bama or the dark hourse Georga I think Miami has a small crack at him
i think miami's a better fit, especially since he wants to play rb. whens the last time florida produced a solid back, emmitt? they just dont run the ball n the swamp much. also he's a much better rush backer than rb
And dont forget about all the latin mamis callin u papi chulo. Dont fall for those slick words from Urban Meyer. That dont mean nothing once u get on the field. FSU is a bust factory for RB's. And a RB life is too short to play in a gimmick system like GT. Mia got 1 of if not the best o-line in the country last year. And got 1 of the top guards this year, who every school in the country wants him to open those running lanes.
MIAMI baby! Miami wud of had at least11 pro bowlers this year if everyone was healthy. We had 9 this year and have the most every year. And we got the most current players in the NFL. FSU had 1 pro bowler. UF had 0. lol.

I doubt he plays RB in college. Looks like a DE/OLB to me.

I can all but gurantee you just by looking at him he is injury prone too tall, too physical, too muscular. He'll spend 3 years in college never play a full season and be a great NFL player.
