The problem with the theory is that it could not ever converge at the tenth dimension if it were expressing infinite potentials. It would only work if the potentials were finite. Infinite implies that in some dimensions it would, most importantly, be a false theory in an infinite number of dimensions. I think we become so mesmerised sometimes, by beautifully complex mathematical equations, that we don't see the forest...

ive always thought that the chaos theory "the butterfly effect" was interesting. it should get everyone thinking. if we do or not do something during our normal day it will affect us without knowing. every day is a mystery that we will soon unravel.

the word reaction is more appropriate than decision, because the mind is mostly mechanical. We don't really make decisions as much as have reactions based on our past programming. I believe we are all in our little bubbles of consciousness.

I guess I had the basic idea of this thought. i always question my self what if I do this instead. Or the choices that i make and what kind of alternative result would I get if I choose a certain route. What if I ask the girl who I have a major crush on? Result???? mmmmmmm, its very interesting.....

you say it comes down to our decisions, but really, if given exactly the same opportunity, you wouldnt make a different decision as everything would be the same, your train of thought, outside influence, it would lead to the same decision.

it would only be different if the universe had started off differently, with the atoms going off in even minutely differently, would cause a complete difference in the further outcomes. consider the universe like a roller coaster in the dark, we dont know what will happen, only the infinite amount of possibilities there could be, but there is only one path of the roller caoster, we just dont know what it is.

if a god created this universe, intentionally or untintentionally, he determined everything. i personnally do not believe in a god, but accept the possibilty. in the case that he created the universe, then yes i believe that he caused everything to occur. he would have needed to be a very good physicist though to know the exact results though, lol. i hope that answers your question.

i mean that although the universe is a chaotic sytem(unable to predict) due to its complexity, everything that happens is governened by physical laws, so although to us unpredictable, it still follows a logical order of events. what im saying is, everything that has happened and will happen has already been decided by the exact way the big bang happened. if the big bang hadv'e been just minutely different, a completely different set of events would of occured. (its fate, but in scientific way)

this theory cannot be denied, every choice we make has some sort of reaction to it now matter how small.

Chaos Theory sounds like an oxymoron with the understanding of what it explains. This question sounds dumb but if chaos was truly unpredictable how is predicting chaos out of chaos really explain anything. You always come back with an example of the Principle of Identity. This is a fascinating idea, and the video is pretty good. It's not chaos theory though. Chaos theory explains that there actually is order in systems that appear to have random behavior.

Your example is cute, but it does create a sort of dilemia. After left or right, what about reaction to the guy after he pushed. Your screen should start to look like the graph. Muliple forks until the screen goes into a rubic cube of screens that slowly come back to one screen. But alas as Slapnpluck said this would just be another line that would again start the path again. Ah the intricities. But this wasn't supposed to be a dislike to your film. Not at all, I just think it could have deeper.

Very Interesting. Albeit I wouldn't call it the Chaos Theory, it's more of something I would call 'The Infinite Theory' Or 'The multitude Theory.' I like the way you described everything, just a few questions.

1)Wouldn't it have made more sense if you put the part where you turned right on the right side?

2)Why was the screen on the right bigger than the one on the left?

i agree, this really isnt pure chaos theory. alot of people get confused what the chaos theory is. this is the butterfly effect, which is supposed to have effects beyond human rational thinking, like if someone picked up a pound of the floor, they would die from a heart attack, which they wouldnt have suffered from if they left the coin. not getting flowers for your girlfriend and her being pissed of is quite obvious

i feel liberated when ever i think about anything concerning this subject,or when i research about it,it puts my consciousness on a level beyond the matters of the everyday "cosmetic" physical interactions we get caught up in, most people wouldn't even pay this any thought,to say their perspectives are fixed on the here and now.and we are all like this at times.but it really pays mentally to think outside of the box,where you find many more boxes to open and look in concerning life,and you.

In the case of deterministic materialistic monism as a belief (Where one assumes all is just matter following strict and determined rules in which case 1 state of the universe allways leads to a single other state) This theory of yours is invalid. However, given chaos at a profound subatomic level, the word "decision" whould be replaced with "event". That would be more propper. Pretty well made, I believe the tenth dimension is a point as shown in many videos but this tenth is within another infinity of another tenth dimension. SO there really is no tenth. Its just infinity to put it in easy terms. And why does that scare so many people? Live life through your path in the chaos theory and stop trying to find that single point in infinity. (but hey, i guess its possible lol)

But I think that the 10th dimension would be alot harder to imagine...or maybe impossible to imagine for us humans cause the 10th dimension only consists one point and that single point is all the variations that the world from the big bang to the end of the world has...and that is infinite also...and how can we imagine everything in one point...well we cant so it s a bit more complicated then this I think ;) ^^

Yes the theory is MUCH more complicated than this video, which was designed as a small "introduction" to the 10th dimension theory so people could understand it on a simple level. If we tried to explain it properly peoples heads might hurt.
