We won't open mecca to nonmuslims...there's good reason for it. Mecca is a holy site, and meant for worship. Allowing non-muslims would make it into a tourist site. Jizyah is a type of tax obligatory on the Muslim ruler of the State to take from the disbelievers in his state. But it should be taken only from men who are not jobless. So, because of this in Islam its very easy for slaves to get freedom.

@allahscockisgreat1, have u actually read the entire Quran?, there is actually very little mention of war in it, its only mentioned in the Medinan surahs when the early Muslims were being attacked by the Meccans, it's very similar to when Moses was being attacked and fought back, Islam is actually very strict on rules of war, non combatants are never to be harmed, but yea terrorists twist things around to fit their political and nationalist agenda

We won't open mecca to nonmuslims...there's good reason for it. Mecca is a holy site, and meant for worship. Allowing non-muslims would make it into a tourist site. Imagine a british christian family visiting Mecca, with the children saying "mommy look at the big black box and look at the funny robed men!"

Surah 9 is the last but one revealed to Muhammad and it is calles ULTIMATUM. The principle of Nasikh/Mansukh says that the last revelations abrogate the earliest ones, it is clear that Surah 9:29 is what is prevalent nowadays: fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.

The word was used for mud, because of its obvious property of sticking to the hands. The word was used for unending hatred or love, because such emotions stick to one's heart. The word was used for a small insect which sucks blood (leech), because it sticks to its prey.

@lesterclaypool1 The word was also used for that part of the tree, which is in the reach of grazing animals, because the animals stick to that part of it.When the Qur'an says: "He created man of `Alaqah", it was interpreted by Muslim scholars to imply "a clot of blood". This was not because the word meant "a clot of blood" as we have already discussed, but because the Muslim scholars felt that in this verse it implied "a clot of blood".

Jizyah is a type of tax obligatory on the Muslim ruler of the State to take from the disbelievers in his state. But it should be taken only from men who are not jobless. We cannot take Jizyah from olds, children, women, priests, jobless people Jizyah is avery low amount, and by giving it you are assured that we Muslims will protect your honor, life and property.

@lesterclaypool1 Quran says, "...And if any of your slaves ask for a deed in writing (to enable them to earn their freedom for a certain sum), give them such a deed if ye know any good in them: yea, give them something yourselves out of the means which God has given to you..." 24:33 A slave fixes an amount of money that if he gives, he will get freedom and see, how Quran says to Muslims to help them in it.
So, because of this in Islam its very easy for slaves to get freedom.

@lesterclaypool1 Naturally, Muslims though gradually freed their slave due to their enormous rights in Islam and beacuse of the fear of accountability on the day of Judgement for not giving them their rights. There are many instances in Prophet's life in which people listened to him about slaves' rights and freed them.
Muslims are the first ones in history to gt rid of slavery.

I cant leave him"!!!! Remember Anas bin Malik who himself said about the Prophet, "When I did something, he never questioned my manner of doing it; and when I did not do something, he never questioned my failure to do it. He was the most good-natured of all men."

Fifth, if the prisoners have no possibility of being exchanged and they are kept under the conquered army, then the following things happen: Either they are killed, as what happened in Siberia, or they are put in prison where they are humiliated to death or the females are used as concubines.

@lesterclaypool1 there are two cases of concubine: one is a slave-girl living with a person as a maid only, in which case she will serve him, but he is not allowed to establish any sexual relationship with her. The other case is, if he decides to keep her as a partner, then he can establish a relationship with her, and then she will be freed as soon as she delivers any baby for him. Also, he will be the only person who has a relationship with her.
