When I played it on the same emulator, it was missing that battle list "Attack, Magic, GF, Draw" etc and the hp and names...

How did you get them to show up?

just click ESC if you using full screen game, after that click on file then change disc and choose ISO and look for the IMG file CD2 first you will have to extract the file or if you havent download the file the you will need cd files. just go to emuparadise website you'll find everything in there all files.

So I've got the ROM and the emulator and it works fine, except during battles, I can't see the HP bar, or the command menu. I can select the options, I just can't see what I'm picking. The screen isn't cut off either, since the rest of the game works fine. Can someone help me?

hi im playing ff8 on ePSXe, using psxhacker, which is a compilation of action replay, gameshark, and codebreaker. i used the gameshark version 5.0 on it, and now, whenever i start playing ff8 without the cheats , the game lags. I tried putting the cheats back on to repair the problem, but it doesnt work. could this error sort itself out once i switch to the next disc? plz reply.

Well when you download things from emuparadise there is parts.

File in it might be either

.Bin/.IMG/.ISO Formats maybe sometimes .CUE thats around 20MB-100MB they are sometimes .cdd and other format images.

Bin or img you will mostly see when i downloaded this game they were .CUE and .Bin

extract the .BIN for many reasons

It combines the parts into 1 disc and its the most MB so you will know its the first DISC.

P.E.Op.S - supports most cards

Pete's - might not support all cards and needs alot of RAM.

Some sound plugins might need to be change (you will notice when you download other psx ISOs like MGS and Tomb Raider III)

Final Fantasy 8 9 sound plugins work good with P.E.Op.S

just save it first or idk run i never tryed that.

The problems with ePSXe and PS1 emulation in general is that even now in 2007 it's not 100% perfect...I mean look at the N64 emualation Project64 will run any game I throw at it at full speed with all graphics very high resolution (1280X1024) and AA and AF on high...games run at full speed and look beautiful and you don't need to check any compatibility list to check which game works or which one doesn't...

yeah PJ64 can run any game if it has the newer plugins like some N64 games will crash on PJ64 because of the Plugins it came with. unless you get new plugins when it comes out then PJ64 will work perfect.

The good thing also about the N64 is that it didn't use such a low resolution like the PS1 so nothing looks extended and blurry when shown at twice or 3 times the original resolution...

emuparadise is not a virus because i been downloading stuff there and nothing been detected or harm. Maybe your Anti Virus is on really High which = Over Protected. or either you have saved some Java Cache which can be worms/Trojan which you could just clear from a Java Plug In and it will be all gone.

i don't think you can do that but you can burn a game to a empty disc and play it but you got to do stuff to the PS2 but... PS1 Games can play in a PSP Memory Stick and psp games but you will need to get a custom firmware

you could also use savestate and to save in this game is from those weird color things and don't rename the ePSXe file it will take off all save data and settings.

Im using epsxe 1.6.0 and I tried the saved state that you said I checked the save state folder and files are there but if go to load state there are no files exist

click F3 to load and F1 to use Save State you can just save the game. remember PS1 Memory cards are only 128KB and make sure its all in one folder.

i got it to work ;D but its a bit too fast and freezes because of lag every few seconds it also takes up the whole screen automatically and closes right away when you minimize it

well... you can put it to Window Mode if your computer can't handle it. and use P.E.Op.S plugins for all the configs and to make it to window mode goto cofig video and cofig again maybe twice or once until you see a section of configs and click window mode.
