its built on a shortened subaru impreza platform with a toyota/subaru boxer engine. not what all of your assumptions are. there are two versions one is coming out 2011 by toyota and a subaru version to follow after. supposedly priced at US$20k and is in production. and it has no predecessors.

why is it when the FT-86 same out everyone thought a new Supra was coming up? the Toyota FT-HS is the Supra fill in with a V6 400hp hybrid or N/A engine, and it was shown in 2007. FT-86 is then return/hybrid cross of the Celica/Trueno/Levin/Corolla.

and LF-A the new Supra GT1amuse22k? no way $400K V10 Lexus supercar, no Supra there.

did you also forget the mkIv supra was pretty pricey in its day..? and i dont think a "hybrid" would get a "supra" badge... the supra is on par with the gtr, nsx. so i doubt it will be cheap. the lexus lf-a , nissan gtr, and probably the new nsx all fall into the $80,000 + category, what makes you think the MKV supra wont..?

cuz there is no MKV Supra. the Supra badge is a thing of the past. Toyota already said that. its the FT-HS that is filling the gap and Toyota said they were aiming for a hybrid and N/A model between $30-50K, because the FT-HS and FT-86 are the starting models to bring back afordable cars. the current Scion tC was a concept to determine if the consumers are ready for such a sporty afordable car and to get feed back on how "sporty" the cars should be.
