Jimmy Douglass of Slave fame was involved in this - compare the intro of this to Slaves Watching you.......that monster rolling bass was soooo cooool...
Honestly, "Watching Ladies" pales in comparison to this song. No disrespect to Slave cuz if you do the history, Roger Troutman originally produced this record for Jesse Rae, on his debut LP, along with Zapp and Bernie Worrell. That's where the Ohio-influence comes from. Not Slave. But this version is better than Jesse Rae's, also ;) Bitter sweet facts.
@hotgritz4sho The Slave joint "Watching Ladies" came first. Most people think that Odyssey ripped off Slave not the case. "Inside Out" was produced by Slave's Bassist Mark Adams (RIP).
My humble appologies for the incorrect statement before.. contrary to belief, this was actually Sandy Anderson playing the bass guitar, not Mark Adams - but Slave were also behind the production on this track
thats watching you( Slave) in the background intrumental
