Just a little kinetic science for you, he picks up speed faster and more fluently, has a greater degree of control/balance with every step and sets an internal rhythm for himself in swinging his arms like that.

CZECH REPO!!!!!!!!! I love the Czech Republic. I love how he claps his hands together before doing a Kong, I thought I was the only person in this world that did that haha lol

As for his run, he has short and fast strides which give him the quick burst of speed and his arms are not too far from that of a full speed sprinter mixed in with a soccer and hockey player. Which I think is awesome besides the video is about his trace not his running image.

The arm swinging doesn't help much with speed when just running but it does help with momentum should he suddenly need to jump, you'll see alot of traceurs doing it, I do it when doing things like a wall run or whatever

why do people keep talking about the arm swings over the fluent movement that is parkour? seriously the reason his arms swing like that is probably cause his style of PK has evolved to that specific style of running. everyone has there own style, there own movement, there own path to parkour. don't pick at someone else's style cause it looks different or u lose the freedom or parkour and revert back to whats "socially acceptable"

@mcmikeymike100 Not to be contradictory to what you stated, because I wholeheartedly agree with you, but I think some of the commentors were critiquing his arm movement in the sense that it wouldn't allow him to achieve the potential speed he would attain if he swung his arms closer to his body. But as I said before, I agree that everyone has their own style and others should respect that.

@elsanchokaki Because a) they want to, and b) it at times help maintaining the stride because if otherwise you run full speed at an obstacle, you might mistime your footing. I don't think anyone tries to look cool by running like that; that would be kiddish indeed. I think it's more a habit that's developed unconsciously.

And to me, the purpose of life is just to 'live' your life, have fun and do some good while at it. It's not depressing at all.
