  • This is only one testament to the fact technology to solve problems is here and has been for quite some time. The problem is it's not profitable. I could easily see the future looking back at us as morons. How could a holocaust have happen? We used an atomic bomb to kill how many people, in order to save lives?... Idiots.

  • this is the worst channel on youtube!!!!!!

  • its daymler . you dick.

  • I fall for it AGAIN!!!

I saw the thumbnail with a nice looking car on it, but then it's just a bunch of pictures and boring stories......

  • Dude FireStorm4056...

are you out of ur mind

you have just said it yourself, he has ONE car while u can have a GT-R, Lambo's (More Than One) Ferrari's (More than one) Bently's, viper, Vett.... you name it

we are talking about ATLEAST 50 hot exotic supercars NOT One!

  • That looks like so much fun! I wish I could do stuff like that, It looks like there having a great time. Great video b by the way.

  • Has anyone here heard of ACN.

  • its amazing how Obama or the government is trying put us all in these torqueless 4 cylinders hybirds and putting high taxes on "gas guzzlers" or v8 trucks and SUV's that people need for pulling boats, farming equipment and such. if gas prices were not rising people wouldn't even want these flimsy unibodied vehicles. ethanol and biodiesel were perfectly good replacement for petroleum based fuel but than they wouldn't be able to snatch more money out of our pockets

  • Actually ethanol was causing corn prices to artificially rise due to the usage of corn for fuel rather than feeding people. Secondly, if the big three would've spent money on developing more fuel efficient trucks and suv's 10 years ago that involved hyprid technology they wouldn't be in as nearly as big a mess as they are in now due to complete drop of sales of their primary dinosaur vehicles. This also leads me to your complete lack of knowledge of hybrid v6's/v8's that are already out there

  • no one cared about hybrids 10 years ago thats my point if fuel prices were still $1+ a gallon no would buy the things. im well aware of v6, v8 hybrids with severely reduced towing capacity because of it of the extra weight and the weakend drivetrain do to the electric motor. you need to educate yourself some more

  • Actually some people did. The writing was on the wall, but no one wanted to face it, certainly not the big 3 or the oil companies and their constituents within the Gov. Gas prices are never going to go down to $1+ a gallon ever again unless demand drops to nothing, and that's not going to happen. The oil cartels lost a lot of money the last 8 months and they're looking at $70 a barrel oil and higher once again. Peak oil has come and gone. If you think differently, you're deluding yourself

  • I can't believe that VW would say that. If they keep killing new cars and concepts they will end up like Toyota selling the same bland car and no one will want them. New and unique cars sell, same old doesn't. A diesel convertible mid engined, it would sell if anyone felt it would be a reality

  • used Ferrari? sure, heyhowbout it heyhowbout it

  • I hope they don't cancel the Bluesport, but I think they should change the name, and offer other engine options.

  • bastante interesante...gracias por el aporte al ecosistema!

  • that v.w. sirrocco would be perfect if it had syncro.

  • The American auto industry supports Obama on the mileage and emissions standards, primarily because they won't be around to comply with them. Haha, screw you imports!

  • how ironic is it that the Ferrari auctioned for 12.4 million and the number on the car is 124

  • thats not irony..its a coincidence..irony is when its the opposite...not tryna bother ya

  • Comment removed

  • yeah homie man

  • Actually Mr. D "Manana" is not "Tomorow", it is actually the spanish for "Apple".

Go do a spanish class or something before thrying to sound cool infront of the ladys (or men, whatevers your game)

  • In context, Mr D is acutally correct. Casually Manana or Manyana is perfectly acceptablefor 'tomorow' or 'later'.

I believe Manzana is spanish for apple...

  • lmao way to own yourself dude. A for the day dumbass lol

  • i saw that same volkswagen yesterday, but a hatchback

  • thank god.

i could see that VW getting old real quick

  • if I was a automaker I'd just make like 1 car that got like 150 mpg, then all the rest of your line up would only have to make like 20 mpg

  • make it seem so easy to make that and make a profit off it only a billion dollar company could do that and the risk to high who says people gonna buy them

  • But then the rest of the lineup would be kinda pointless. Not many people are going to buy something that gets 20 mpg when they can get something else that will get them to and from work almost 4 times on a single gallon of gas. I agree though, that's the best way to get that 39 mpg average.

  • That's why I say it doesn't really eliminate all the supercars and sports cars. Just built a some plug-ins and/or hydrogen cars & a lot of efficient smaller cars (which tends to sell more anyways) and there's plenty of slots left to build less efficient supercars and sports cars, albeit in smaller numbers.

  • Yeah I don't think it will hurt bigger car companies sports cars and super cars but what about companies that only produce sports and super cars? I can't see lambo puttin out a plug in.... will they still be sold in the us will a huge tax stuck on or will they have to be brought in to the us some back way to get around the regulation?

  • companies like lamborghini or ferrari wont be haveing problems with the average fuel consuption thing since they are part of large corporations. lambos (and bentleys, for that matter) fuel average counts into the VW Fleet and Ferrari counts in with Fiat, so no worries there!

  • Ooh yeah nice job Mercedes ;)

  • I LOVE CANADA

  • I offerred $12,402,500.68 but they didnt accept.

  • bwahahahaha i'll take it, thanks

  • TOA (the Obama Administration) may be killing the future of gasoline supercars, but that also means companies are just going to make electric, hydrogen, ect. supercars for the future...

  • This new law passed by the Obama Administration makes it almost impossible for anyone to by a super car or even a simple sports car in the United states, much less make any! Buy your Lamborginis, Ferraris, Ford GTs and Corvettes while you still can, because in a few years you wont be able to buy a car that will do more than 50 MPH at this rate! Not to mention that this will almost certainly kill Chrysler, and possibly even GM! ='(

  • boooooo! GM killed GM. gimme a break. no super cars? google tesla roadster. or fisker karma. or ac propulsion tzero... or dodge circuit or white zombie datsun... or wrightspeed, inc... etc time to move FORWARD.

  • yeah but we should use hydrogen fuel rather than only having electric cars

  • btw the cars you mentioned pale in comparison to the Lambo's,Farrari's, ect.

  • got me there. i guess 125 mph (electronically limited and probably hackable) is not useful speed. where do you live, bonneville? i guess the 0-60mph in 3.7 secs does not compete with the latest lamborghini's 3.4. i guess 244 miles range WITHOUT a DROP of GAS is not worth mentioning.

  • l have respect for the electric car, but who is really going to want a hybrid corvette? The Tesla Roadster is rather unreliable at this stage if you want to have fun with it, just watch top gear's review of it. Plus it takes forever to recharge. The Fisker Karma isn't even out yet so you can judge it's performance yet. Besides If I want to buy a gas guzzling sports car I should be able to buy it here in the USA! Electric cars just cannot compete with gas powered cars at this point in time.

  • US government has favored(subsidized?!) gas guzzlers for a century. christ, they even helped kill off (crush and shred) thousands of EVs about 7 yrs ago. see wired[dot]com/autopia/2008/12/tesla-cries-fou/ to read about that top gear "review." i don't trust that guy. don't you think supercars will live on? they're mostly foreign anyway, no?

  • theres some shaddy stuff going on with top gear. If you do some digging, their review wasn't entirely legit.

  • What do you mean by "shady stuff"? You can believe what you want but I find it is hard to find good legit facts on the internet. too many biased websites. What you found could have been posted just to discredit Top Gear. And why would you want to do some digging on Top Gear? What are you a hater or something?

  • yes there are many bias sites but I am very knowledgeable on batteries and electric vehicles. I built my own e-bike that goes 35 miles per charge. Im going to build an e motorcycle and then an e-car. No I am not a top gear hater. I actually like ti a lot. Just saying, don't believe everything you see. Even Top Gear can be bias sometimes.

  • It may have been distorted because they ran the car flat out. It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it. And I won't get into how electric powered cars can be just as damaging as internal combustion.

  • Just as damaging? Please, go into it. I would love to educate you on the newer battery technologies.

  • my first encounter with top gear was the tesla story. if you google "tesla top gear" you will find many - not just one - article about how top gear misrepresents that car. so as far as i'm concerned jeremy clarkson is a WANKER. and i'm hardly a hater. just hate mis-info with a passion. he openly hates all electric cars. talk about bias...

  • @sockosockosocko

Clarkson is a moron. Top gear is a good show and he is a great laugh but nothing he says should ever be taken seriously. He rarely has a clue what he is talking about.

  • That part was exaggerated by Top Gear for TV. Sure there was the brake pump problem but that's a standard part that any car can have so it's not really something that really has to do with EV reliability. None of the other reviews I have seen of the Tesla reported the same "reliability" problems. The car charges in 4 hours, so it's not too bad. Obviously EVs can't compete yet since there are so few, they are just starting this new gen of EVs after they killed them off a couple of years ago.

  • The Tesla still takes 4 hours to recharge. If I ran out of Electricity on the way to work or something I would be 4 hours late. Traffic commutes can be pretty bad. It just isn't very practical for traveling long distances. And I bet it would cost a lot to replace that battery if something went wrong. Sure it wont break down often but if it runs out of electricity your screwed for 4 hours, as Top Gear demonstrated.

  • wow, cars are going to suck in a few years......

  • I'm glad I live in Canada XD

  • fld is boring sometime

  • this episode was kinda... short?

  • god this one is boring.

  • sick VDub, engine sounds kinda light though

  • must be a slow news day

  • dude, keep the v-dub blue sport!! If they'd put it on the market at around 20,000, i'd go for it. Looks sporty, and gets great gas mileage! :)

  • They could never get it on the market for 20k

    More like 35k

That's why they said it wasn't feasible--it could NEVER get down to Solstice/Miata territory

  • I was really looking forward to seeing the Blue Sport on the streets :(.

  • NOOOO i wanted that vw convertible soooo bad!!!

  • Will this new bill create new jobs and revive the auto industry? Yes! Not tomorrow but eventually.

It took a long time to get this way, craps not gonna just change overnite. Peace!

  • so is obama plans to riase the prices of cars by $1300 i think thats bull but manageable. Now what i dont get is why he wants almost every car maker in the states to scrap their line up and make all new cars by 2016 i think? Cus not many cars have 39 fricken mpg. Obama is a fucking dumbass. this is gonna destroy the car market and flood it with PEICE OF SHIT HONDA CIVICS that think they are fast.

  • yeah they dont get 39 mpg but many get about 35 mpg. couple years ago they only did 25. in 7 year they might just meat the standard.

  • I think the old EPA fuel economy numbers are still being used for CAFE purposes

For example, the Camry Hybrid's CAFE mileage is somewhere around 45 mpg, even though the EPA only puts it in the mid-30s

  • effin' crazy people paying 12 million and change for some car while people are dying from hunger out there.

hahaha thats just so funny and waste of good money

i can buy a lambo, Ferrari , Porsche, Nissan GT-R, Vett ZR1 & alot of other hot cars for 12 million. what a doosh bag lol

in other words he can have a huge car collect to buy as many as 20-50 supercars for that much money!!!!

  • Yeah, except that guy still has the only car of its kind, while you'd be one of tens of thousands with a GTR. Congrats.

  • last fuckers

  • and the company that sold the car was Canadian RM classics is about 30 min from where i live

  • Interesting that Daimler AG has taken up on Tesla. I think this could be a good deal for Tesla unless Daimler gets too demanding or something. The fuel economy deal is interesting, but I always wonder about the fun cars, like the Lancer and the Mustang and the latest Camaro, for example. Sad news bit on the Bluesport roadster. It's a cool little car. That Ferrari 250 Testarossa is worth every auction penny. That car is BEAUTIFUL! Sweet car!

  • say goodbye to V8's V10's and V12's :( not a good day

  • good there just gas gusslers...

  • you obviously havent ever driven anything that contains such an engine

  • V8 is still unnecessary!!!!!!!!!

I think people that "need" them should still be allowed to drive them, but they should also have to pay the price for it as well (extra taxes)

Even trucks used for legitimate business purposes get by just fine with six cylinders

  • V8 is necessary if u want to be loud and proud, lol

  • nope, those 18-wheelers' diesel inline-sixes are pretty friggin loud!!!

    haha

  • ever tried towing a 8,000 lbs trailer in rush hour with a V6 0-60 in like 4 yrs

    aka not useful

  • yup

    5.9 cummins

  • the only sad part is that the people that purchase the v8s can also afford the taxes, surcharges etc.

  • I'm just gonna put my opinion out there i think the BluSport is VW's diesel version of the Porsche Boxster

  • doesn't Mañana actually mean 'morning'?

  • mañana en la mañana means tomorrow morning.

  • wow. that testa rossa is my all time fave car. next to thirty other ferraris. whatever. GREAT SHOW GUYS!

  • obama can go fuck himself. again

  • fuck you craker

  • i love how someone says "f the president" and is automatically considered a "cracker" aka racist....if anyone said "bush can go fuck himself" no one would call that person the "N" word....double standard ass mofos

  • Fuck you Obama. I'll drive whatever the FUCK I want. I have a supercharged Denali with 500 horsepower. It struggles to get 10 MPG, but it's a blast, so it more than compensates. Obama has NO RIGHT to tell automakers what kind of cars they have to make, I'll just have to buy used cars in the future then, since Obama and the left won't allow me to have fun driving a new car anymore...

  • it's not about how many mpg you get, it's about cutting down the co2 emissions, it's thing like these that'll save our ass from global warming and the deterioration it's causing

  • coca cola has no restrictions on the co2 because co2 doesn't cause global warming. it's a scam to make you pay more tax for a better car.

  • you are just ignorant. you have no idea what you are talking about. lol. its what they made that cause them in this shit hole they are in. along with the mile high cost of keep their formor retirees happy and yeah. you say fuck obama. but hes the one keeping them alive right now with those multibillion dollar loans. and if you are a repub. bush has some stake in it too.

  • "Save the Economy" by making it harder for struggling corporations and raising the prices for products. Obullshit Administration at it's finest.

  • higher gas tax is MUCH more effective than CAFE standards

I think we should phase-in a gas tax increase by 1c per week for 2 years ($1.04 total)

Diesel would be tax increased 1c ever other week, for 2 years (52c total)

E85 and B20-B50 would be increased 1c every other week for 1 year (26c total)

    And CAFE should be repealed

  • REPEAL BOTH OF THEM!

  • i liked the bluesport...........i wish it came out

  • Derek D youre da best!!! Welcome to Russia!!!!

  • Welcome to the United States of California.

  • Please VW keep the bluesport and kill the gay EOS, that car is worthless!!!

  • When do you think there will be another person making the videos?

  • The casual Derek D.

  • I didn't smile and noticed 10 wasn't there. Therefore only 7 facts are true.

  • Mother fucker, I swear to God... Do you think you're cool posting some bullshit like that? I will fucking pop your eyeball with my dickhead and proceed to skull fuck you, you fucking dirty cock riding bitch ass cock monger.

    -

    In other news... GOOD SHOW!

  • Don't worry, he's been blocked :)

  • I actually never smiled, you fucker!

  • there were 0 facts. cause i've already seen this stupid spam.

  • and you know what car didn't meet it's reserve, the shelby cobra that was parked outside the plaza a few weeks back.

you know why chris evans bought that ferrari 250 gt california, because ferris beuller told him to!

  • but the miles don;'t come off when you drive it in reverse!!!!!!!!!!

  • yo who thumbed me down?

It's a reference from Ferris Bueller!!!!!

  • i want that blue sport

  • Too bad about the bluesport, I liked it.

  • Hey, I have that Ferrari!!! I've had for like 20 years. Except mine is red. And a model.........

  • Why is Alex G not on F.L.D anymore? I sure miss her and I am very sad she is no longer a host.

  • Breakfast was a LONG time ago Derek D. Everybody just ate lunch. GET WITH THE PROGRAM.

  • 23rd Baby

  • yeah, good for you! get a life, dumbass.

  • Haha I was just messing around, chill bud. Get you some Derek and then get out.

  • Nice to hear Tesla will be getting financial support by such a big company.

  • Why is Alex G not on F.L.D anymore? I sure miss her and I am very sad she is no longer a host.

  • she wasnt even sexy. and u had no chance. get a fucking life and talk 2 some real girls. bitch

  • Yes she is and you have no idea who I am so you cant say I have no chance you IDIOT

  • You'd be surprised but Daimler AG tends to support rising starts. Daimler AG also owns

85.0% Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation of Japan

50.1% Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation of Canada

40.0% McLaren Group of United Kingdom

22.4% European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) - a parent company of Airbus of Europe

    22.3% Tognum of Germany

    10.0% KAMAZ of Russian Federation

    10.0% Tesla Motors of California

    7.0% Tata Motors of India

  • It's a modern way of thinking. Instead of fearing the competition, invest in it.

That's why in a long run, they can only win.

Plus I love Mercedes cars - the only German cars built with passion and soul.

  • wiesmann?!

  • damn rite ima enjoy my breakfast since i got my car news fix short and early jus as it should be and without having to spit out my OJay thru my nose becuz of derek d's ridiculous trousers

  • Why is Alex G not on F.L.D anymore? I sure miss her and I am very sad she is no longer a host.

  • there u go... now my lunch is ruined!!! where is Alex?

  • Yes we need Alex back ASAP

  • Alan K has MUCH softer hair than she does

She got jealous of him and then cried because he wouldn't tell her his secrets. She got mad and quit.

  • que bueno que practiques tu español..

    HOLA !From Puerto Rico

  • Take a vacation DerekD and bring back Alex G.!!

  • I agree

  • Concepts are dropping like fly's. Frigging recession. All the cool cars die out and were left with crappy Eco cars which not only usually look ugly, are also slow as hell. Guess the huge paychecks politicians and actors make are to blame for all the money going to waste, eh? If not, its certainly a factor . Whatever it is that happened, the auto industry is going through the same mess it did in the 70s (Tougher emissions and fuel saving laws). And killed off many high performance autos such as

  • (Continued form my last) Most of the famous muscle cars. Cars such as the Corvette, Mustang, and Camero had to be severely crippled to meet the new regs which therefore, made the cars of the day suckass. Eventually things got better but now its looking like the same thing is happening again. AND this time the recession is making things even worse. So once again, we have to deal with 150HP ecocrap cars and watch as the cars we love die off.... Its really depressing.

  • Yeah, its idiots like you that are to blame for shit like this.

  • How bout the true car enthusiasts who dont want to see the cars they love die off cause of freaking emission laws and greedy politicians who ignore rich sources of resources just so they can jack up prices so they can take more of our money? Theres plenty in the US but they aren't going to use those till the middle east reserves go dry.

  • don't be so american for god's sake! How about European prices for gas? Let's see then who drives a pick-up to work with a 5000cc engine. No need for electric cars, when we can have efficency!!!

  • For one, I aint American.

  • I meant in attitude...

  • Eh, guess mine was too long for COTW haha...

  • what???

  • Higher fuel taxes (and thus gas prices) are better, and more effective, than CAFE.

Csaba Csere wrote a good article about this a few years ago. One of the main points he made was that making driving cheaper does not encourage people to drive less and/or drive more efficient cars.

The high gas p[rices automatically got people to consider fuel-efficient cars, whilst the V8's were still around for those that "need" them

  • Why is Alex G not on F.L.D anymore? I sure miss her and I am very sad she is no longer a host.

  • ^^

    WHAT HE SAID!!!

Even tho she often looked like she had no clue what she was blabling about, I just loved her.

  • she got in a catfight with Alan K Because his hair is shinier and softer and cuter than hers, and she got jealous and cried and quit when he wouldn't share his secrets

  • Alex has no reason too be jealous of anything

  • haha Mercedes Electric car?

  • Good to see that Derek doesn't overdo the feed hitting anymore!

  • breakfast? that feels weird because its half 7 pm in England =]

  • even in nyc it was only posted at like 2:00

  • i still prefer a 250 gto, 250 gt cali, or a 275 gtb over that ferrari

  • noo i really like that vw roadster

  • 48th!!!

  • Low-Def FLD...Sweet.

  • don't care ppl. VW!
