  • Dose anybody know the names of the song he was playing??

  • @TheStickman1998

Juvenile - A Million And One Things

Michael Jackson - You Rock My World

    Kardinal Offishal - Burnt

  • haha dont buy bose, dont ever by dres, seinheiser is good, but go for ultrasone

  • Great review!

  • LOLLLLLLLLLLL you have to have AA batteries inside them to get ANY sound out of them at all?

    What a piece of SHIT.

    Amazing how well marketing/advertizing works.

  • It's two AAA batteries.

  • @gcastro44 Whoops, thanks!

  • im thinking about buying these, or the solos, the solos actualy got a better rewiew in norway than the studio, but everyone says if you are going fore the sound in them buy sennheisers, and i looked up sennheisers, and you need a fuc king amplefier to make feks sennheiser 650 sound good, and thats a nother 300,

  • which ones should i take? these one? or the ear in ear?

cuz which ones have better quality?

  • @MusicIndustrie these

  • I was thinking I'd check out the Sennheiser headphones because I don't that much about what my headphones look like, so I checked out their site and saw some pictures. You weren't kidding. Sennheiser cans look ugly as shit :\ I think I still want to go with the Beats

  • Wanted to listen to the rest of your review but couldn't stand the music.

  • i want to get headphones that i can edit well with, i need headphones to edit video's with, but id like something that looks nice too.. and these are the best looking headphones i have seen.

im just not fully sure, if these will work well with editing the sound of the video, if its music or lines. Will it? if so, then i definitely will get them.

Headphones that Sound great and are good for editing and that also look good. Thats what i want.

  • @karbine409 I'm looking for the same thing. Have you found anything?

  • @StellaisBack no man, not yet.. im considering these headphones "Beats"

but i hear senheiser has really good headphones.. but these might be my choice the beats or the new headphones by Dr. Dre called Beats Spin.

  • lmao throw um on the ground smash um around fuck they broke i'm never buying these again lol funny. hey, i got bose headphones i hate um for real they messed up my ipod sound like 2 weeks after i got um, but might of been my ipod but now also the sound doesn't play on the right ear unless i turn the right ear to my left and have the left one on my right. bose is durable though.

also batteries are not a big deal, just get some rechargeable batteries and u don't have to go to the store every week

  • LOL thx for checkin my vids. Rechargeable is the way to go!

  • Hi im thinking about getting a sennheiser hd595 how do they compare with the sound quality of the beats? and do the senns leak sound?

  • Have not tried the HD595s but they are an "open" headphone so yes they will leak sound a LOT.

  • the HD595's are open-ear, therefore, sound will leak out. i'm using the HD600's with a soundcard with a built in hi-fi amp and the sound quality is AWESOME.

  • ok and will I need an amp cuz 50 ohms is borderline for my ipod haha

  • nice vid!!! uhmm jw in ur opinion what do you think has better noise cancelling and audio quality the dr dre beats or bose qc 3? also, canu wear the beats on ur neck?

  • Noise cancellation is comparable on both, I would give a slight edge to the QC3's. The sound quality is great on both, although with the Beats the low end is a little hyped. For your money, the QC3's are the better deal, but it depends on your needs. With the Beats, they are like $200 headphones with $50 worth of extras and $100 worth of style. So you get what you pay for. Strictly for great sound quality, get the QC3s. Want good quality, and nice style? Get the beats. Thx!

  • are the QC3's "open" headphones as well??

ps: love that u reply to so many ppl. some ppl just ignore questions and then tell ppl to rate and sub. (i'll rate but sometimes it doesn't work when i try to)

    anyway great job.

  • The Bose QuietComfort 3's are open backed, but not all of the headphones in the QC series are made the same, for instance the QuietComfort 2's are actually closed back. The QC3's are definitely better in my opinion.

  • did you get the wornety

  • hello' kamill1, what's the name of the first song of your review?

  • Juvenile - Flossin' Season, off of 400 Degreez LP

  • thank you!, by the way 5 STARS!

  • Comment removed

  • awesome review very informative I plan on getting the white ones from apple.

  • i nearly pissed my self laughing during this, your a funny bastard !

good review. but dude. your totally. fucking. funny lol. !

  • Thanks man! I've really been meaning to upload more videos, just a mad year for me so subscribe because I promise I've got more coming soon! New year, new vids. Totally. Fucking. Promise.

  • @kamill1 Totally. Fucking. Awsome xD

  • They're totaly fucking decent

  • Haha, decent!

  • what would u recomend for bass these or sony extra bass earbuds

  • Have not tried the earbuds. But typically over the ear cans will give you a better low end. Not always, just typically.

  • thanks alot bud, ive been wanting a pair of these listened to em at the shop and liked them, thought they were awesome but overpriced, got drunk decided i wanted em, got em for 300, was having a bit of buyer remorse since i dont have them yet but this review put much of it to rest, good unbiased solid real review, much thanks

  • Thanks for taking the time to watch!

  • i like the fact that you can replace the cable, i would hate to pay that amount of money and rip the cable out because i forgot they were in lol ive done that so much, thanks for the review dude

  • Thanks! Yeah the interchangeable cable is handy!

  • Excellent review! Gotta go get these!

  • Thanks!

  • Hey great review! I went out and got myself a pair of the Studios, and I was wondering how loud you can play them before you have to worry about the speakers getting blown. Any thoughts?

  • 90% is typically a good rule for headphones. Depends a little on what you are listening to, but it should never distort. If it does turn it down.

  • I bought the solos and they had great bass but were really muddy and frankly sound like shit. I'm thinking of getting the studios but I'm worried about them being too muddy. Hip hop is only a small fraction of what I listen to, so will these be too muddy?

  • I have not tried the Solo's as they were not out when I purchased the Studios. Your safest bet is just to head down to Best Buy or Apple or Futureshop or wherever, and try them on. If you've tried the one product already, dont buy the other sight unseen unless you know for sure. I can't really say too much here though, like I said, I have not tried the Solo's, so.......

  • yeah i see thanks. I'm reluctant to get the studios because i don't want to deal with the same problem. great review too thanks

  • thx alot for the help i gonna buy it here in germany for 200 bucks i use it for production and to listen with my ipod coz i hate senheiser

  • Thanks, glad to help!

  • Hey great review. I like your style of review and assertiveness. Dude I just ordered a pair of White Beats from the apple online store for $299+tax. People on macrumors said they're junker than Senns. You're right, if you want the all in one package with fucking cool style while studying at starbucks or at your university library to impress people and chicks, this is it. I'm sure the sound is way better than stock iphone headphones. Enough said.

  • Yeah man, exactly. Thanks for checking out my vids!

  • Dude you shit real, watchex both parts, thanks alot you helped me with my decision on wether to buy these or not and i have, plus i will be listning to the same type of music as you so, lol at kardinal offishal at the end.

  • Kardi is awesome! Have to represent for Canada! Thanks for checking out my vids and I'm glad I was able to help.

  • man i need help! i got a pair of them n bout 3 months into it they jus didnt turn on you know wit the red light tried new batteries n that but i got nothin :( :@.. has anyone had this problem help me!

  • Warrany, warrant, warranty. Take them back to the store and if they don't swap them for you, investigate warranty you should be covered. It is most likely a poor connection.

  • Since these were semi designed by dre, I'd think they would be great for listening to rap or pop. How would they be for rock or alternative (coldplay, greenday, etc)? Also, did u try out the mic? How's the sound quality on the other side? The mic looks too high up. Thanks for the review. 5 stars

  • Surprisingly good atually (for listening to music outside of rap). The lows are a little hyped though, but you get a really good bottom end mostly. I listen to a lot of Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, old R&B lots of shit and they sound great. Actually, I mostly listen to NOT hiphop. The mic is decent, you just have to be careful of ambient noise.

  • Would you say there is a noticeable difference in sound quality when compared to Sennheiser HD 280? Other than noise cancelation that is.

  • Noticeable depends more on you then it does on me. There are a few fundamental differences between the two though. First, the Senns are a closed back headphone, which means the sound is meant to be contained within the can, which means its bouncing around inside. The Beats are open, giving more sound leakage, but also a greater depth of sound field (hard to describe, but I think you know what I mean). There is a tag difference of like $200 though so a bette comparison is Senn HD555 ($125)

  • Great video! The first true review..all the others either hype the beats way too much or say they suck. You were able to give the goods and the bads.

  • Thanks man! I'm new to this sort of thing, so, nowhere to go but up!

  • You mentioned these leak noise, badly. At what levels? I'd probably use these in school during study hours and I usually keep my music at about 40~50%... Will someone sitting next to me be able to hear it clearly?

You said not to use 128kbts mp3 files, but there are so many types of music files out there... Which do you use with your songs? I know FLAC is supposed to be super awesome but I need something that will work on my ipod / itunes. Is the Apple loseless file-type good or? Kinda confused

  • Are these not corded? Or do you just need to plug in the cord?

I like to listen to electro music (Crystal Castles, Lady Gaga to name a few) but I also like rock music. Are these good headphones for these types of music?

    Thankyou.

  • Yes good for these types of music. And yes, corded. They come packaged with two cables, one is for the iPhone which has a remote/mic attached, the other is a standard cable. Both are Monster, gold plated, etc

  • Apple lossless is pretty solid, what you are looking for the is the bitrate of the recorded sound file. Typically at 128kbps, 256kbps, 320kbps. 320kbps is about the highest you will find, relatively easily. Its basically straight from CD, and your best bet is torrents. Lossless I think is 256kbps which is fine (if I am not mistaken).

  • Dude wTF? Screw these im getting the Senn HD555'z after doing extensive research and guess what only for $100! Just cuz these say Dr.dre n shit doesnt mean u gotta get em lol and the fuckin price is ridiculous as well + I dont wear them outside so go with Sennheiser

  • Pretty much the point I made in the video. Part fashion accessory, part audio accessory. If you are going to buy these you have to be ok with paying for the look. You're only getting headphones that are worth about $150, but they look an extra $150 worth of "nice". You see what I'm saying? ;P If you don't need your headphones to look like this, don't buy them, buy Senns and enjoy them because they're just as good. But personally, I like the iPhone support and the style so for me it works, right

  • hd555's are real ugly imo

  • definitely, with the Beats you have to be ok with paying for the style, because you ARE paying for it

  • what are monitors ?are they like real good studio headphones ? like the ones the use for radio and for producing ?

  • Speakers for listening to playback, not headphones. Although there are in-ear vocal monitors....

  • ive been looking for headphones recently as i have these shitty iphone ear phones and i was wondering are these monster head phones Extremly better than the normal skull candy headphones?

  • yes

  • skull candy = really really overhyped pos.

however I wouldn't get these beats unless they were on sale.

  • its not a bad idea really, eBay is a good place to pick them up too, almost half price in a lot of cases.

  • seriously concerned about the fact that everybody can listen to what your listening to...in the bus..something like that...don't want to bug out everybody...i know when the music is loud...its okay..but how about low or medium level of volume??

  • with volume at about 75-90% people beside you will notice. pretty much guaranteed. low or medium level should be fine. someone with their head next to yours, say standing on the bus or whatever, they will probably hear.

  • I assume these are worth it if i can get them for 240$ right?

and is there any word on a revamped model or 2nd beats or whatever?

  • for 240$ they are worth it.

  • hello guys i was just wondering if the beats by dr dre headphones will work on xbox. i have the mlg mix amp because it says it has a audio cable that has a microphone. so does anybody know or has tried it thanks..

  • anyone know which is better, AKG K701 or these??

  • oh PLZ dont buy these headphones I'M begging you. I bought these at best buy. Had them for 3 days, and found them to be pretty good... then when i put them on, they cracked. after 3 days and $300, the headband broke. Then about 2 weeks later, my best friends broke in the exact same spot. Now i'm holding out for the AKG K272 HD.

  • this is a pretty common complaint, amongst complaints. i could say you know, be gentle or whatever, but most people are, so unfortunately some people may just fall within the failure statistic of a product. i know that i personally have not had any issues with cracking of the strap, but I could see someone with a wider head perhaps stressing the plastic headband....

  • Awesome review! I'm really thinking about getting a pair and this helped me out a great deal.

The only concern I have is about the sound leakage. I know it leaks. Alot. But just how bad is it? I am not one who usually puts their music anywhere near full volume...would it still be clearly noticeable to someone sitting across from you?

    Thanks!

  • Leak is pretty bad... once u get past about 2/3 full volume, they're pretty much speakers that happen to fit around your ears. I wouldn't recommend them if u want them to be sturdy at all.

  • pretty accurate statement, actually. the durability is a little suspect on these, some complaints online can be found about cracking of the head strap, loose muffs, etc

  • how do you get the headphones fixed if you dont have a warrenty?

  • take them repair shop, either computer or audio gear. depending on the problem it may be an easy fix.

  • i need this in my life!!!!!!!

  • Ok now I'm torn. I've seen so many reviews of the beats. And since you mentioned sennheisers hd555 I looked at reviews for that. Some ppl say the sennheisers are better and they're cheaper. I've listened to the beats but not the sennheisers. So what should I do?

  • It totally comes down to what you want. Buying the Sennheisers will give you a pair of headphones. Thats it. Buying the Beats will give you headphones, various accessories, iPhone compatibility, built in mic, noise cancelling (I dont think the Senns are N.C.). SOooooo its more of an all in one package with the Beats. If you want pure quality headphones go try on the Senns. If you want more of a multipurpose set of cans, the Beats are probably for you.

  • No they're not I just found that out. They have open ear cups i guess so you'd be able to hear all outside noise. I love noise cancellation and the beats are very sexy lol, so yes I think I will go with the beats.

  • i jus got these headphones today and i love them!

  • Awesome! Treat them well!

  • you sound a little like russel peters.

  • We're both Canadian I guess?

  • this was reall helpful. Im def gettin em.

I was wondering. When i mix n master with my monitors the volumes always are always too loud when i hear em in my headphones or in the car. wht am i doin wrong!?

  • well, it might be the same "problem" that i have when i plug in headphoes in my computer. all i do is turn down the master volume on the computer and go upwards til i meet a satisfying level. i know you could have figured it out by yourself, but im just saying what i do ;)

  • Just check your recording levels really, if their is any clipping or whatever, obviously turn things down. Also keep your recording level at a +/- 0 dB level if that makes sense, don't artificially inflate your mix for playback through speakers because it will be that much louder when you listen to the final mix somewhere else. The other option is run two separate outputs, like, mix out through your monitors but listen to the master through a separate headphone out before you mix down. Hmm.....

  • "Wear the bastards!"

  • Haha.

  • great review, and fair. The best one on youtube.

ONE question: I know colorware makes their custom color beats... do you think they will eventually make other colors for them for public consumption?

  • I think their is a chance, the Beats will have to be on the market a little longer I think first.

  • your review was my favourite review lol, im a producer and i was looking in to buying one i think i might, i've been watching a lot of reviews and looking at the specs and comparisons, i heard the right ear piece is kinda of loose after a while though

  • Yeah you've gotta be a little sensitive with them. The muffs are connected with a pretty cheap little clip so they have a tendency to slip around. Nothing a little glue doesnt fix.

  • wow i appreciate you responding to each comment i your vids ..

keep up the good work man and ill sub ya

    peace

  • im getting these headphones for techno/trance/dance/house/electro all that... u think these headphones would play that type of music well??

  • Yup definitely. I tested them out on some Benny Benassi, some DJ Shadow, and some Aphex Twin, as well as some straight tone frequencies and these handled it pretty well. Keep that volume less than 90% though otherwise they (like all headphones) will distort.

  • thanks for the no bullshit review. "I swear to god, loud as shit!", "They're totally fucking decent." bahaha.

  • THanks for checking out my videos! New to this sort of thing, but good to get some feedback whether it be positive or negative. New vids coming soon!

  • I bet at some point soon there will be a video on how to modify them to bypass the noise cancelling so you can listen to them without the batteries.

  • I hope so, I will keep an eye out as I'm pretty curious about that myself.

  • Questions: How good is the noise cancellation compared to the Bose QC2. And the sound leak, does that happen at a certain volume?

  • The sound leak is more noticeable at a higher volume of course, but these are open backed headphones so they are not meant to contain the sound. The BOSE QC2/3 contain the sound much better, as they are over the ear and closed backed if I recall. The noise cancellation is comparable, with a slight edge going to the Bose. The Beats do surprisingly well though. Thanks for the post!

  • I got them. Okay, so the BASS is freakin awesome. songs like: The way i are - timbaland

    3 peat - lil wayne

what you know - T.I. Sound way different. sound quality is awesome. worth the money GUARANTEED plus, if you order from monster they come with a free LRG designer iPod touch/iPhone designer case. pretty sweet right? damn i love them

  • AwesomeI'm glad you're happy with them! Be gentle with them and they will last you for awhile, they're a really nice audio accessory. Ba-BOOM! Gotta love the styling too.

  • how do they fit around your neck im dont have as skinny neck as you and I got skullcandy GI and I could barely look down lol are these better.

  • The plastic band across the top is a little stiff, and the muffs are pretty big, so if you have like a freaky huge neck it might be an issue. As always, my recommendation is to head down to FutureShop or Best Buy and just put them on, give them a listen etc

  • Oh thanks. And uhm i just ordered the Tours and they should get here 2moro

do you have them? and if you do you should make a review

  • Cool lemme know how they sound!

  • I think you just saved me some money, thanks!

  • No problem!

  • i have a question ; what does muddy mean?

  • Unclear, lacking in definition.

  • Can you jog with these on? They seem fragile.

  • I wouldn't recommend jogging with them, unless you were going at a pretty slow pace. They fit the head pretty firmly and they don't move around too much. I've tried them on my treadmill and apart from a very slight rattle, they weren't too bad,

  • can i have your advice for the Panasonic Noise-Cancelling Headphone (RPHC500) vs. the monster head hones?

    Thanks

  • Have not tried the Panasonics. Sorry!

  • your style is like dane cook your funny lol can you send me your answer to my other question on the first review part

  • those are not the most expensive. the most expensive are the ULTRASONE Edition 9 Limited Edition for $1499.00. But they are very good headphones.

  • Technically the tube driven gold plated antique style Sennheisers are the most expensive, they only made 300. $30,000 Gangsta!

  • Do you notice the weight difference having the batteries only on one side?

  • Surprisingly not. The headphones are supported well as a tension fit so you don't notice at all. Some of the hardware for the headphones is housed in the opposite muff anyways and since you NEED batteries to use them, they should always therefore be counterbalanced. If that makes sense!

  • Quick Question----When the batteries go dead, or are about to, do the headphones make like a warning noise or something to tell you the they are going to turn off?

  • Oddly enough, I am still on the same batteries so I don't know! I've noticed a dip in quality in the last few days though so they might be getting low. I'l post up when they die!

  • great review, to bad I'm broke...:)

  • Nice review man!

  • Thanks! I'm new to this sort of thing!

  • awesome review!! Gonna buy them tomorrow

  • i agree, good job with the review

  • TOTALLY.FUCKIN.DECENT.

lol, great review man, i watched it while wearing what you were reviewing lol

  • i am subscribing

  • Thanks I appreciate it! Followup video coming soon!

  • sweet !!!!

  • i mean damn these headphones sound fucking amazing and shit but id rather stick with bose cus they are much much cheaper and bose sound just as good

  • It is really a matter of style at this price point. You can pay an extra $100-$150 for the packaging, style, and peripherals, if you really want these. If its just about the sound, Bose and Sennheiser will never let you down.

  • your reviews are always the best, i'm pretty happy that i subscribed, hopefully you'll be switching to HD very soon.

  • excuse me "chinese Quality!!!"

  • Haha, this is obviously not a comment on quality as a result of nationality of the workers, but rather a comment on North American outsourcing to China for cheaper labour (and typically undertrained labour) and cheaper parts (and typically lower quality). I think everyone gets that, lol.

  • These or the Bose QC2s I cant decide! Any suggestions?

  • these

    easily

    .

  • great review!!! im getting these :D
