@TheEdTeach I had moved to Miramar the year before. We got it rough with Katrina and then Wilma in the same year. Katrina wasn't bad (only a Cat 1.) Wilma was a 2 and we were without power for quite a bit.

@shadowzone69 at the time it was only a category 3 storm with 120 mph sustained winds, and winds in this video are category 2 strength - about 105 mph sustained. It WAS the most intense storm whilst over the open ocean, and \had a 1 minute wind of 185 mph and gusts to 220 mph. it weakened slightly hitting the Yucatan with a 150mph sustained wind .

Hurricane Wilma. FUCK THAT HURRICANE! It left me without electricity for about a month! Ugh! Worst time EVER! I like living in Kendall, but fuck! I hate having hurricanes. Even though we don't really get them that often...actually, we seldom get hurricanes. But seriously, 2005 was just a horrible year in terms of hurricanes. We got a BUNCH of them!
