Even as a druid tank you inspired me too try and push forward in terms of what I could do as an AoE tank (seeing how you have successfully achieved feats in tanking outside that the class was primaryly built for at the time) and even b4 3.0 i could tab target swipe tank about 6-7 mobs so thank you to you aswell :)

:D Finnaly someone who knows to play wow. Do you know that in wrath of lich king, warrior could wear 2 x Two handed weapon? Amazing isn't it? Just imagine warr with 2xFrostmourne, even arthas doesn't have that! And warrior have best (Plate) armor type so... Warriors own!

my pally was ret lvl 68 when i saw your 'anything you can do i can do better' video. I Specced prot and did my first run as prot in Shattered halls. tanked the whole place in AH greens. from that point on i made it all the way through the 5-mans on normal and Heroic. and made it past gruul and mags. I myself is a Prot Pally since 2.0 I used to be a Holy Paladin but it never was my thing so I builded myself up to be a tank and with the help of your videos I got myself a Tank spot. Then after I had to change sever due to moving I join a new guild and became there Main Tank. So I would like to say is thanks for making such cool videos and good luck and I hope to see many more.
Invis, I have used your vids back when I first started as a paladin tank for my guild. I proved to them that I can do it just as well as the warrior. For that I have also scored some progression kills as the main tank. Keep on tankin it up.

Personally, i heal for a druid on my priest.. and the combination brings an outrageous amount of success because she's passed so many paladins in HP and Armor(its funny), we're both working on S1 in the characters so we can head to getting Tier gear and then be a great combo...I wouldn't mind healing paladins though, by far...as long as they keep the pvp players off me! XD (plus i can tank pvp when i have a healer...discipline allows priests to tank other players @.@ (up to 5,i know,ridiculous!)
I've always chose a Tankadin to tank because of the AoE they had to hold aggro, And I'm a Warrior lol. I'm for the PvP of corse but I occasionally go to Kara and stuff.

and to be completely honest, warriors require mass button mashing to do what paladins can do while they afk to get a drink while tanking a raid boss. true story, I went afk while retting it out in heroic BM on Aeonus, came back dead, brother was laughing at me cuz I pulled aggro while afking and died. no crusader strikes, just me Blood and a WF totem
yes you have Shield wall and Last Stand, those are VERY good abilities, but u NEED them more than we do, you take more Crushes, and you block more often, thusly taking more dmg, thus giving u a NEED for said CD's, we get a single "oh shit" button, that has a one hour CD. and to repeat invis, and no offense to the warriors here, but a T5-T6 warrior doing EVERYTHING right, will be outthreated by a T4/ZA/badge prot pally who's also playing correctly
Warrior's usually take less crushing blows than pallys since they can easily get uncrushable via shield block (+75% chance to block - no GCD to boot). However, shield block only has 2 charges, whereas holy shield has 8 (but only +30% chance to block). Thus, when paladins finally do get uncrushable, even the fastest raid bosses can't land a crushing blow. Also, last time I checked the more you block the less dmg you take (pallys block as much as warriors). Just my two cents.

I hope u remember me (Dailian, lvl 70 belf tankadin Blackhand) as prot I dealt with plenty of this, and also I do as ret, being compared to warriors we'll always be, but we're nothing alike in any aspect, I'm a paladin eye-opener, still one of the top tankadins on my server (not utilized much) and now as ret, I'm pulling 1100 dps in only T4 badge gear, wtg paladins, keep it up.

I'm not envious, you don't tank progression with a Paladin MT unless you have nothing else, and if you do, you're hurting the raid more than helping. Warrior MT provides the healers with a larger margin of error than any other tank, unless of course the boss doesn't crush, and then you're looking at bear tank for that position.
Also, if you didn't know already, Holy Shield Cooldown and Duration are the same, so no matter how many blocks you get you'll always be vulnerable to crushing blows between recasts, and if you don't believe me just watch your Prince Melchezaar video right here on youtube. 100% Holy Shield uptime=impossible.
Zack, this is jealous warrior mentality I hear time and time again. My avoidance and armor? Both warriors and paladins have the EXACT same multipliers (parry and armor from talents). AND, since our stam scales better, end game tankadins have more health than warriors. CBs? If YOU didn't know it, our shield has 8 charges. Yours has two, tops. Guess whose gets eaten up faster? Guess who ELSE doesn't have 100% uncrushable uptime? And guess which tank doesn't threat cap the raid? =)
It's not a jealous mentality. It's a fact, my basic avoidance and armor are higher than yours, top it off with the fact that my gear offers more avoidance than yours and you looking at a huge variance in tanking ability. And don't forget that you're down a base 1500 health on top of my shout, which can easily be improved through the correct talent tree. Oh and btw, your stamina only scales up better than mine ones you hit about 1.7-2k stamina. Have fun with that one.
Perhaps you're not clear on what "avoidance" and "armor" are. Feel free to refer to Wowwiki. And guess what - my stamina scales better at not 1.7-2k stamina, but 1337 stamina - the irony!
With only a 6% increase in stamina over a warrior with a 2500 health gap to fill counting untalented shout, you're looking at 4k stam to make up the lost health. Assuming no shout you need still need to make up 1.5k which is 150 stamina, approximately 2.5k.
If we're going to talk about self-buffed, then don't forget to include my Devo aura (which means pally armor > warrior armor) and my BoK (which gives more health than Comm AND dodge). As for "your gear has less stamina"... let's take a look at any number of popular end-game tanking chest pieces. 2.3 badge/ZA chest. 2.4 badge chests. T6 chests. The stamina is the same (or better) on the paladin piece.

Don't take it personally. Paladins and Druids were just never meant to tank the hardest hitting bosses in the game. Until they remove crushing blows from the game, you'll both have to settle for the title of "Tank Junior" and when that happens I fear that both of our positions may be replaced by Druid and Deathknight.
A tankadin/warr can remove crushing blows from the entire equation that calculates what kind of blow you'll recieve (if any). Warriors can get uncrushable faster, but when pallys do get uncrushable it's very hard for them to lose the status of uncrushable. And in the defense of druids... Droods won't ever be uncrushable (except maybe via trinkets with long CDs). However, droods can take the crushes with their absurd armor/hp.
I hate to say it hun, but I've been watching your videos for a little over 6 months now and I have a couple of things to say to you. Your avoidance and armor is lower than an equivalently geared warrior and you take too much damage in the majority of boss fights you post videos of. Congratulations you can multitank trash and multiple heroic bosses and that's something that no other tank can do, this is true,
Ya pally tanks rock. Got to love it when you get a pally tank that says "This is too easy let me take my pants off" when your in a heroic. I will have my pally to 70 befor xpact I hope :) keep making vids.
when tanking raid bosses is it better to have the ret aura that does damage or the one that gives armor and should i put talents so the aura gives more armor?

i play ench shaman and tried both paladins and droods to lv 30 (specs were prot and feral) and i liked playing with pala WAY more, but in the end went bk to shaman and atm like it more but if u want to make tank make pally
Thanks for all the great videos. Without those, I wouldn't have my fun-to-play tankadina, and would still consider paladins a class I just don't like to play (which used to be the case, but pala tanking is just great times, like kitten!)

Personally, i heal for a druid on my priest.. and the combination brings an outrageous amount of success because she's passed so many paladins in HP and Armor(its funny), we're both working on S1 in the characters so we can head to getting Tier gear and then be a great combo...I wouldn't mind healing paladins though, by far...as long as they keep the pvp players off me! XD (plus i can tank pvp when i have a healer...discipline allows priests to tank other players @.@ (up to 5,i know,ridiculous!)

I've always chose a Tankadin to tank because of the AoE they had to hold aggro, And I'm a Warrior lol. I'm for the PvP of corse but I occasionally go to Kara and stuff.

much love to all the Champions of the Light out there, do what you will, instill others with your healing powers, use the light as your shield, or use it to burn your enemies into dust (btw, does anyone else feel that the title "Champion of the Naaru" is VERY paladinish? or is it just me? Champions are bastions of light who fight to protect innocents, total paladin) <3 all ttylz

and to be completely honest, warriors require mass button mashing to do what paladins can do while they afk to get a drink while tanking a raid boss. true story, I went afk while retting it out in heroic BM on Aeonus, came back dead, brother was laughing at me cuz I pulled aggro while afking and died. no crusader strikes, just me Blood and a WF totem

yes you have Shield wall and Last Stand, those are VERY good abilities, but u NEED them more than we do, you take more Crushes, and you block more often, thusly taking more dmg, thus giving u a NEED for said CD's, we get a single "oh shit" button, that has a one hour CD. and to repeat invis, and no offense to the warriors here, but a T5-T6 warrior doing EVERYTHING right, will be outthreated by a T4/ZA/badge prot pally who's also playing correctly

Warrior's usually take less crushing blows than pallys since they can easily get uncrushable via shield block (+75% chance to block - no GCD to boot). However, shield block only has 2 charges, whereas holy shield has 8 (but only +30% chance to block). Thus, when paladins finally do get uncrushable, even the fastest raid bosses can't land a crushing blow. Also, last time I checked the more you block the less dmg you take (pallys block as much as warriors). Just my two cents.

there ya go Invsu, tell him off. but it's not jealous mentality, its fear. they're afraid they'll be replaced. I hope u remember me (Dailian, lvl 70 belf tankadin Blackhand) as prot I dealt with plenty of this, and also I do as ret, being compared to warriors we'll always be, but we're nothing alike in any aspect, I'm a paladin eye-opener, still one of the top tankadins on my server (not utilized much) and now as ret, I'm pulling 1100 dps in only T4 badge gear, wtg paladins, keep it up.

Zack stfu your the kind of joke that gives warriors a bad name. Im a TK/SSC tank T5/T4 and you just make us all a joke. Paladin tanks are amazing assets so shut your mouth. Paladins can aoe tank alot. Got your back Ataira!

How I love those envious warriors:) Poor Zack in the Sack. No specialty - no where to go. Just looking at those imba tankadins he will never reach. Ah well, WWS parses from my last 4 BT runs show not a single crush from neither Najentus nor Supremus(you know, the boss that always down the warrior:).

I'm not envious, you don't tank progression with a Paladin MT unless you have nothing else, and if you do, you're hurting the raid more than helping. Warrior MT provides the healers with a larger margin of error than any other tank, unless of course the boss doesn't crush, and then you're looking at bear tank for that position.

Also, if you didn't know already, Holy Shield Cooldown and Duration are the same, so no matter how many blocks you get you'll always be vulnerable to crushing blows between recasts, and if you don't believe me just watch your Prince Melchezaar video right here on youtube. 100% Holy Shield uptime=impossible.

Zack, this is jealous warrior mentality I hear time and time again. My avoidance and armor? Both warriors and paladins have the EXACT same multipliers (parry and armor from talents). AND, since our stam scales better, end game tankadins have more health than warriors. CBs? If YOU didn't know it, our shield has 8 charges. Yours has two, tops. Guess whose gets eaten up faster? Guess who ELSE doesn't have 100% uncrushable uptime? And guess which tank doesn't threat cap the raid? =)

It's not a jealous mentality. It's a fact, my basic avoidance and armor are higher than yours, top it off with the fact that my gear offers more avoidance than yours and you looking at a huge variance in tanking ability. And don't forget that you're down a base 1500 health on top of my shout, which can easily be improved through the correct talent tree. Oh and btw, your stamina only scales up better than mine ones you hit about 1.7-2k stamina. Have fun with that one.

Perhaps you're not clear on what "avoidance" and "armor" are. Feel free to refer to Wowwiki. And guess what - my stamina scales better at not 1.7-2k stamina, but 1337 stamina - the irony!

With only a 6% increase in stamina over a warrior with a 2500 health gap to fill counting untalented shout, you're looking at 4k stam to make up the lost health. Assuming no shout you need still need to make up 1.5k which is 150 stamina, approximately 2.5k.

If we're going to talk about self-buffed, then don't forget to include my Devo aura (which means pally armor > warrior armor) and my BoK (which gives more health than Comm AND dodge). As for "your gear has less stamina"... let's take a look at any number of popular end-game tanking chest pieces. 2.3 badge/ZA chest. 2.4 badge chests. T6 chests. The stamina is the same (or better) on the paladin piece.

Don't take it personally. Paladins and Druids were just never meant to tank the hardest hitting bosses in the game. Until they remove crushing blows from the game, you'll both have to settle for the title of "Tank Junior" and when that happens I fear that both of our positions may be replaced by Druid and Deathknight.

A tankadin/warr can remove crushing blows from the entire equation that calculates what kind of blow you'll recieve (if any). Warriors can get uncrushable faster, but when pallys do get uncrushable it's very hard for them to lose the status of uncrushable. And in the defense of druids... Droods won't ever be uncrushable (except maybe via trinkets with long CDs). However, droods can take the crushes with their absurd armor/hp.

I hate to say it hun, but I've been watching your videos for a little over 6 months now and I have a couple of things to say to you. Your avoidance and armor is lower than an equivalently geared warrior and you take too much damage in the majority of boss fights you post videos of. Congratulations you can multitank trash and multiple heroic bosses and that's something that no other tank can do, this is true,

wel i gotta say that i never really tought that paladins were lesser tanks then warior or druids, (im a warior myself) im MT of my guild but iof i cant make it aceman (a paladin tank) wil take over and do a great jobb at it.

i play ench shaman and tried both paladins and droods to lv 30 (specs were prot and feral) and i liked playing with pala WAY more, but in the end went bk to shaman and atm like it more but if u want to make tank make pally

Thanks for all the great videos. Without those, I wouldn't have my fun-to-play tankadina, and would still consider paladins a class I just don't like to play (which used to be the case, but pala tanking is just great times, like kitten!)

I'm the leading main tank for my guild, and I have to say that your videos inspired me to keep on tanking with my Paladin when it came time to leave 5 mans behind for raids.
