After five years, when GM finally gave it an articulated rear suspension to replace its swing arms, it was a very good car but it was already too late thanks to Ralph Nader. GM and Nader combined unwittingly to kill a very good car.

great, they crashed several 59 impalas. all for a crappy corvair. dont get me wrong. i love corvairs, but not more than 59 impalas.

Now try that testing again on a 1960 Corvair, upgraded to modern radial performance & M&S tires, gas shocks, urethane suspension bushings.

That was amazing. I dont know much about these corvairs, but what they showed in this video of what the car was capable of is just amazing.
