Amoebas tend to move away from light so they might behave weirdly when you're viewing them from an optical microscope.

This video has been sped, they're normally quite slow. Notice how the prey objects dart away nearly instantaneously.

Great to see this as Ive never yet managed to find one! I never realised they moved so fast. Couldnt catch the dinoflagellates tho eh! ;)
