Haha, you can bet that Fox will be doing this to Google for a long, long time to come. Sorry NewsCorp, we don't like PIPA. This is not a privacy concern. Us simply being on the internet is an "invasion of privacy". Every last thing you do on here (anywhere, not just google) is logged, stored, and kept for years, and not just by the site you're going to, but by your own gov. Fox is worried about Goggle having better search results, I'm worried about the Patriot Act, and things like PIPA.

@bweazel true... but still do not appreciate what google is doing... right in your face... at least now the whole world can't see what you are doing... i don't even like yt showing everyone what i have watched, liked, commented... etc. and the new page set up sucks... that will be forced march 1 as well...

@skybirdbird Good points, but I still think they're embellishing a bit. I can't see any reason google would fling around people's browsing habits then post them online for all to view, without the options we already have. I can see them adding those features to our pages, like a facebook or something, but Fox saying you cannot opt out of it, I don't believe that. Anti-trust? Monopoly? Hah, they sound exactly like the MPAA.

@skybirdbird Looks like the old youtube before google bought it. I like it. Founded so recently too, wow. January 18th, 2012. Strange though..... Isn't that the same day the internet blackout happened? ;)

Funny thing is, right after I came to work and logged into my gmail, google had this huge post about "changes" that were going to be made. .... Great. But it did say in there no privacy policies were changing. Had to click "Ok, I got it" to proceed.... did I just sign on the dotted line? Haha

As they say,," ALL good things come to a end " (often due to corrupt minds grabbing the profits and stomping boots on Freebie info junkies ) I left My Space because of all the buggy crap long ago ,,,Goo has digitized the books (and also leaves out important pages as I tried to research the edison battery ) - media control has gone off the scale by CorpRATs , -a smaller system will be hard to find that works well ..searching - - ~ ~ ~

Check out Zippcast. I started a channel over there. It's new, it's got potential. The guys that developed the site need help and content...seems a lot more like YT 6 years ago or whatever.

Google is getting too big, too bossy and too invasive. Personally, I've been looking to switch to another site for years. I've only been waiting for a common site with the folks I most want to watch/communicate with -be it vimeo, zippcast or whatever. I've already quit using google for searches some time back. I'm now using bing and vastly enjoy the experience over google anyways (like I think their maps feature is better). Let google get smug, folks should just walk.

-I think there is gonna be a boycott of google over this forced new format change anyways...why not make it for at least a week or two? If I don't see any improvements in the next few weeks I plan on being out of here.

There are things one can do to toss a wrench into "The G machine"

Use firefox and an add on called NoScript. One thing I have noticed my "Total Upload Views" are only at 1,577. LOL This what I view in two weeks I think. Like most programs it takes some tutorials or trial and error as to what to block and what to enable. Remember this service IS no doubt tracked by more than just "The G machine" read Google & Co
