When I first did this trial it was on the 360 Controller.

Didn't have much problem with it, seeing how you use the trigger button, and you can pretty much "double tap" that easily.

There's no fake kicks for sagat. It's just an exploited high kick.

of any sort. The move is actually listed, and included in the trials (unlike kara throws).

The problem is that the buttons on the TE stick are so close to the surface of the board, which makes it hard to hit the button twice like that.

wow thanks, this gave me a really good idea on how to do that darn fake kick..

I was able to do it on Ps3 default gamepad by mindlessly and rapidly pressing r2 and l2 alternately over and over again.. till I heard someone says "success!!" ..

Fake kick is clearly designed for stick play. :)

With a paddle you can't do that simply. I paid great efforts and changing the buttons to succeed that one on a gamepad. The reason is simply and mainly the button size.

@yksnimus Not necessarily. It's good to use a move that at least resembles the startup of some move with long startup and recovery that your opponent is expecting.

Sometimes you do have to improvise, though. I sometimes use Chun Li's jab as a fake fireball.

its actually used a lot in battle in China town fair. NYC is crazy with it!! NYC REPRESENT!!! Its often used versus players who are jump happy and are trying to bait the high kick. I normally use it the most vs zangief. As he tries to bait the HK to jump in on me i just spam fake kick till i am able to confirm his jump. If anyone wants to play me online my gamertag is Mista Mangu on XBL.
