You're just generalizing what university is all about. Yes, for sure that in every class there is a chance that you will find some degree of bias from what you're taught. But most school aren't there to just teach, they want the student to think, to learn to research and analyze and put together their own argument. If anything, it is the high school system that is more likely to have a political agenda, university usually provides the opposite opportunity.

Nationalism in any nation is destructive. The idea of preserving a national identity seems idiotic to me. As a British citizen I live in a multicultural society, we have many immigrants (like America) who come from different cultural and religious backgrounds. This does not diminish my own cultural standing, I do not see my country as diseased or weaker for the reason. Tolerance is embedded into the foundations of British culture, and only in persecution of others do we loose our national ID.

But i do not base my opinion on this matter, just on the lower lev classes that i took, i base it on the amount of work one has to put into specific majors. You're just generalizing what university is all about. Yes, for sure that in every class there is a chance that you will find some degree of bias from what you're taught. But most school aren't there to just teach, they want the student to think, to learn to research and analyze and put together their own argument. If anything, it is the high school system that is more likely to have a political agenda, university usually provides the opposite opportunity.

Nationalism in any nation is destructive. The idea of preserving a national identity seems idiotic to me. As a British citizen I live in a multicultural society, we have many immigrants (like America) who come from different cultural and religious backgrounds. This does not diminish my own cultural standing, I do not see my country as diseased or weaker for the reason. Tolerance is embedded into the foundations of British culture, and only in persecution of others do we loose our national ID.

Also i like to point that not because you go to the University means you are intelligent (as you mentioned). For example I (Mech. Engineer. B.S) noticed that those who go into psychology , latin american studies, art ext ext. @zPhysicsz I have taken 2 or 3 classes(my university makes us take a range of classes unrelated to our desired major). But i do not base my opinion on this matter, just on the lower lev classes that i took, i base it on the amount of work one has to put into specific majors. Also i based it on the opinion of few of my friends who are majoring on those fields (who happen to be prior math, chemistry, and engineering majors before changing majors).

I was just eluding to the fact that Nixon was a loved and trusted president (from what I have heard, though he was before my time and all i have is what i have heard from the older generation) before the whole Watergate scandal. This was just a example of the most well known, and biggest of the known, corruptions in our government.

@lanphier1979 There is a difference between law and justice.What is legal isn't always right and what is right isn't always legal.What we have to ask ourselves is, do we have more of an obligation to follow law or justice?The young people in this video are questioning law and the traditional paradigm in order to pursue justice.However real justice requires dramatic change and people fear change so some people fight to maintain the status quo like the older man in the video.

I had two brothers, 2 brother-in-laws and one husband drafted into that fucking war. Some came back with bullets in their bodies, some came back broken to the point of never being right again, and not one of them will talk about that war..it wasn't glorious you dip shit!! But the one thing all of them would tell you is that they didn't fight for the "cause", because they didn't know what the cause was, they fought for each other, trying to stay alive.
