  • MUSIC OK BUT NO DANCING

  • Ohh I get it, your dancing, but who's leading?

  • What a shame that we can't watch this- why put it on if you're going to film it like this?

  • Do I hear counterpoint and harmony lines being played on the violin? Fascinating arrangement.

  • Dramamine Take Me away....... Where is my bucket?

  • I could never be lucky enough to find one of these mechanical marvels to own, but I sure thank you for posting yours, even though I couldn't watch the video too long - the oscillating picture made me ill....!

  • OH Please!, I'm dizzy already! No dancing with your camera. Try a 'gut' string for the "G" string. It will elimate the wavering base notes. It takes less weight to tune it correctly also. Then reduce the tremelo by half. You'll see a marked improvement in the sound. Mills never used Steel stings on these machines originally... Bob

  • Bob,

I finally fixed my tremelo, it had been intermittent and had to be set way too strong to operate. I found the reason why and was able to set it. There was corrosion between the bronze screen and the brass tube it's rolled up inside of and that was causing the problem. I can set it as low as I want now and it will never stop. It was driving me crazy.

  • Who filmed this? Katheryn Hepburn?

  • I like how the video "waltzes" along with the music. It makes me want to dance. Do you ever play all of your videos at the same time to listen to all of the machines at once?

  • Your so lucky to own one of these wonderful machines! Do you what year yours was built?

  • It was built in 1925 and was in a Confectionary Store in Natchez, MS until the depression then moved to the owners house and then into the barn. I bought it from the family. I'm the second owner, was lucky to find it.

  • What an invention!

haha, this was used to entertain during dinner?

  • September, 17, 1925 dated on one of the hammers.

  • Amazing technology for the era!
