  • Hs's slim, not skinny. He looks extremely fit and healthy for a young guy. Those out there saying he is anorexic, he probably looks it only in comparison to the obesity you see all arond you every day (and maybe in the mirror).

    Love your vids. I have been eating heaps of fruit for about 6 months and have noticed some improvements.

    But I have a problem: If I was to eat 70 bananas a day I wouldn't go to the toilet for a week.

    What do you do to stay regular, if you know what I mean?

  • Maybe I would'nt, but I saw some Eskimos on "No Reservations" dig into a raw seal(with the help of knives of course) on their kitchen floor and eat it. They were really enjoying it. Not my cup of tea, but I'm just saying I think its a cultural thing.

  • What does body building have to do with this conversation? Nothing. He may be a marathon runner but he seems intent on telling us how healthy it is and how he's going to live longer than the rest of us. Do a google search for "marathon runner dies" and you'll find that being anorexic, and running marathons is not the boon to health that these people claim. Marathoners can suffer from all sorts of health issues from damaged joints to enlarged hearts to low blood pressure and mental issues.

  • I agree that Marathon training would put a lot of physical exhaustion on the human body. All athletes who over train get terrible injuries. But if the passion if there - then go, go, go for it.

    I mentioned body building because it sounded like - if you don't have big muscles - then you are anorexic. Body builders suffer just as much injuries as marathon runners.

    Why do human's have disease....why don't we live in perfect health?

  • Because pefect health would imply immortality. And you can be incredibly strong and not have big muscles. I can link you to videos on youtube of a 165 lb guy squating and dead lifting 704 lbs. But he isn't anorexic either. Also, I can't punch my hand into a coconut......so are coconuts bad for you? Also there ARE poisonous fruits in nature. Have some Strycnine fruit some time or some deadly nightshade berries and see how long you live.

    They are never Road Workers. They are never Coal Miners, they are never bulldozer operators or military personnel.

    They forsake health to prove a point.

    Vegans are never Oil Rig workers, Cattle farmers or anything that involves working hard outdoors.

    Vegans are usually indoor arty types, gays and that type of thing.

    Most people who start vegan never die vegan because they wake up.

That's why I mentioned anorexic, which is a MENTAL DISORDER, meat eaters. He doesn't look anorexic, he looks skinny and like he said, an anorexic 4000cals a day, win 24hr solo mountain races, or ride bikes up 515km solo in a day.

  • @HybridD91 It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with meat. You can get protein from eggs, fish, nuts etc. If he eats 4000 cal a day I hope a good portion of that is protein (at least 30%). What's the point when you have almost no muscle mass to speak of? So he does mountain bike races....big deal, he would likely gas in a wrestling match in two minutes (aerobic threshold). What's your point?

  • @HybridD91 Having almost no muscle mass is not healthy. And niether is extreme distance training an indication of the oinnacle of good of health. Do some research and you find that extreme distance runners and cyclists suffer from various health issues from excessively low heart rates and blood pressure (that often cause problems later in life) to damaged joints to problems caused by extended time on a bicycle seat. Just google "marathon runner dies" and see what you find.

  • @HybridD91 Anorexia is a disorder characterized by a refusal to maintain a healthy body weight. What is truly healthy? Having an extremely low level of muscle mass can certainly be considered unhealthy.  Combined with the health issues I have already mentioned as a result of extreme distance training, and the definition of Anorexia, I stand by my point.

  • @durianriders LOL no. 3-5 times a week Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and 4 days a week max strength training, plus HIIT? I could probably eat that much fruit for breakfast. The only thing I would say is "this diet is severely lacking in protein". While I watch my hard fought for strength gains go down the shitter.

  • @SCROGY Im training Muay Thai in Chang Mai. I need EXPLOSIVE POWER and STAMINA so I can stay off the mat. I eat so I can and do.

    My main sport is cycling. I race/train with the fastest cyclists on earth. Do you train with the best in your sport? How come you dont? I thought your diet was ok? ;)

    Im also 100% drug free.

  • @durianriders I train with a guy that was rated top three in the world at FW and another guy who fought Miguel Torres, ex WEC champ. My current prof fought GSP in UCC. Our old prof is Sylviho Behring, and he's pretty good. I mean he only trains Anderson Silva and the Nog borthers and Fabricio Werdum (no longer). His dad Flavio is a red belt

    BTW: the most dominant athlete in the world (Micheal Phelps) eats crap.

    And MANY world class cyclists use drugs just as many top level MMA fighters do.

  • @laCruz40oz There are litterally a dozen reasons or more why they could be one of the oldest including that they are not as sedentary as North Americans.  And I don't know how you came to the conclusions that "Most Asians have almost no muscle mass". That is a bizzare generalisation.

  • @SCROGY let me educate/elaborate for you. they live longer because they mostly avoid animal by products and meat. and consume veggie oils, sugars and sea food sparingly, and their genetic features are small and thin with small muscle mass. sounds less bizarre of a generalization then having almost no muscle mass being unhealthy in my opinion.

  • @SCROGY read the china study its a 20 year long study done by 3 reputable institutions. also when humans were paleo hunters they lived to be 30 if they didnt die from disease/hunting accidents, once meat intake was decreased dramatically to consume mostly sprouted grains they lived to be 40. didnt know the thing about the athletes heart i learned something today :)

  • @laCruz40oz The China study has been completely discredited. Besides it's an epidemiological study (look it up) and they are notoriously unreliable. Paleolithic people died young NOT because of diet but because of the dangers of living in the wild on the savannahs and being close to predators and other dangers. And when people switched to agriculture (neolithic) the average age actually went down because humans had never eaten grasses (Graminae family) before and their guts were not......

  • @laCruz40oz .... adapted to the toxic Lechtins and Phytochemicals in grains. Humans and their ancestors had spent MILLIONS of years eating fruit, nuts and meat but grain was only added to their diet about 10,000 years ago. Not long ago enough in evolutionary terms to have adapted to grains. Grains have been linked to a whole host of autoimmune diseases (Diabetes Mellitus, MS, Celiac disease, Rickets etc) and afflictions yet the media never reports this.

  • @laCruz40oz Oh and it depends on how you go about getting that "almost no muscle mass". If you get it from excessive cardio you are damaging numerous aspects of your physiology including decreasing your natural GH and Test production, damaging your joints and catabolizing muscle tissue by increasing levels of catabolic hormones.

  • @laCruz40oz Scientists long have noticed the phenomenon of the "athlete's heart." Athletes who train hard in aerobic sports, such as cycling, running or swimming, tend to have a bigger heart that pumps more blood throughout the body. However........

    High level aerobic athletes can also end up with standing heart rates so low that they require pacemakers later in life.

  • @durianriders Do you get B12? I'm all for a raw vegan diet. I think it's great. I don't like seeing people do it wrong. Nutritional Yeast or some Yogurt made with coconut milk should be used for B12. I hope you're doing it right. I have a lot of advice to give if you would like any. I'm a nutritionalist and biologist. If you want send me a message. If you're already doing it right than kudos!

    at around 100cals per kg thats a minimum of 4kg a day based on 20% of a 2000calorie diet..

    read 811 by dr doug graham and youll get a better understanding of how to succeed and thrive as a raw vegan.
