  • You said "create your own robot". Does taht mean you can create own units? How does that look? Modular system? COudl you upload a video of that? Because I just love creating my own unit-types.

  • Sorry, all the crazy new stuff I've added has taken longer, but it's finished now...I'm recording the videos and working on a name change to make the game more marketable, etc. More info soon, or visit the radioactive software forums

  • lol glad to hear it. Seen alot of your new features and im blown away by em all. Still rocked by the addition of exiting vehicles. you made a whole differnt game by then!

  • Ride of the Valkyries for the win, lol. Hmmm... maybe if you could tighten up that 3rd person camera... maybe make it a little higher, and fixed at that height above the vehicle. And possibly give the vertical axis of the camera "hot zones" where the vertical angling of the camera kicks in. No idea how easy/difficult that would be to do, but it might be worth a try. I just thing the hull of the vehicle sort of looks to be in the way a couple of times.

  • You can get the game from the downloads section on the games site, u donit need the cd key to play the BETA test version, im wrapping up version 2 of the BETA with multiplayer and new gameplay modes, maps, weapons, artwork, etc. This video shows the first BETA which is completely free and downloadable on the site, you can do anything in that version that is show on this vid

  • wow after seeing the games progress I think I had a game-gazim when I saw your new updates on gamedev.

    I mean  your doing solo, what Ive seen fully published games with dev teams unable to do! 1000x congrats!

  • Thanks a lot, I'll have some new videos soon, and the 2nd release of the public BETA will be within the next week or so...I'll release a bunch of new videos showing all the new maps, the first person gameplay [ controlling your robot from on foot ], and all the new advancements...I've also just coded a new GPU based procedural cloud system and lots of other visual goodies...I'm wrapping up the heat blur post process now and it's really starting to look good :-D thanks again, and stay tuned!!

  • the screenshots from the first person mode looked insane. and the FPS you say you get sound amazing also consideirng what all you have going on. definalty gonna wait till next week and apply for beta. this is just too good to miss out on!

  • Man your relentless I swear.  I like how the shell casing are flying out. Wonder if you made the collisionbox tighter it would let them roll off the side.

    Just thinking anyways. Not a clue how much work this is. Ive looked into game dev myself but after about 30min I run away in terror at the complexity

  • It's actually not that much work to edit the vehicle collision mesh. Right now I let Havok generate the mesh [ < 256 triangles ] for each vehicle's collision hull, from the high-res visual mesh. I can edit the system so that I can provide the optimized collision hull myself, and this is on my list of things to do :-D

  • Heh, well you can paypal me beer money to the e-mail address on my site...until the game comes out that's really the only way to support the project ... I do have private investors which is how I fund my work ... but personally your positive comment about my project helped me more than any $ or anything else could.
