  • to eat them you have to put in the microwave or you eat them without heating?

sorry for my bad english :/

  • Hey! I have to prepare a japanese dinner for next week and i'll definitely use your recipe! I'll tell you the result!

  • Mmmm, yummy daifuku! I so have to try and make some NUTELLA daifuku for SURE!

  • What do you do if you dont have a microwave?

  • Hi, primarily thanks for the tutorial^^.

1 question: The water with green tea have to be hot or cold?

  • Thank you for sharing your video!

Been wondering how to make green tea mochi base hehe ^~^

  • How does red bean paste taste any good with anything sweet?? Red bean paste sounds really creeeepyyy.

  • @woahitsserene oh man, don't knock it 'till you try it; I'm not a fan of beans, but this is actually pretty damn tasty! Red bean paste from my experience has sugar put in it since it's used in candies, snacks and drinks. I've never had prepackaged though, but I assume it would be sweet as well. If you're feelin' daring, start off by going to an asian restaurant that might sell red bean drinks. That was my first introduction to the stuff and it was delicious!

  • @woahitsserene How can a food ingredient be 'creepy'?

  • How do they taste? I'm intrigued but... what is a Mochiko and where would i even find it?

  • Daifuku is sooo tasty. I can only make the anko by boiling it for a while cos I can't find the ready made stuff, but I guess it tastes just as good. What's that stuff called with the anko in the little fishes? I had one today for the first time in two years and fell back in love. Are they easy to make? Arigato Gozaimasu!

  • ありがとう~ ^-^

  • oh cool, i like your recipe, thank you! :) i have bad luck microwaving sweet rice flour, so i'll steam mine. lol but outside of that, your recipe looks very delicious, and i thank you for sharing it with us! :)

  • i tired cooking the mochi with a nonstick saucepan and it turned out great! just wait till the mochi becomes slightly transparent before you stop cooking it.

    this was a great recipe!

  • do you think it's better to microwave, steam, or cook the mixture in a pot over a stove?

  • Steaming makes it more chewy in my opinion, but it also takes a lot longer. Microwaving is really the easiest and fastest way to go. I've never cooked this over a stove.

    Hope that helps =)

  • Yummm this looks good!

  • Your accent is Japanese and Australian? am I not correct?

  • I major in Japanese, and grew up in Australia. Don't know what accent that would carry =P

  • Great Job!~

I appreciate you putting this up!

  • Thank you =)

  • I used 2 times rice flour to make mochi and the 2 times the floud has dried all the water and the dought become very hard and was still raw

Btw you have nice long fingers

  • I made them twice, and I have to add that depending on your microwave you might want to adjust the power level. I forgot exactly what wattage mine is, but I had to lower it to about 70%. When I lowered the power level, they turned out delicious. ^_^

  • I can't wait to make these! I had to convert the measurements, though.

  • i made them for the second time and they are so chewey <3 i love it so much!

I always dubble your ingredients so i can make like 20 or something

  • Um, is the green tea part needed or can we substitute hot water instead?

  • Yes, if want a plain base water is just used =)

  • Thank you So much! I LOVE daifuku and I always wondered what was an easy way to make them!

  • i love them ^-^
