  • NPC and other churches like it understand that the people we are trying to reach live in a multi-media culture. This is the present and next generation. Wouldn't Jesus use the technology of today to communicate His cause if He were walking our neighborhoods in the flesh today?

  • Both sides have valid points but I agree with trevor0909. Zhawk417 I know you're upset but show a little decorum. And besides it's God who saves people NOT yours or anyone elses church.

  • i don't know if you guys realize that this argument totally discredits this church and every church in general because of the rediculous amount of hate in this conversation. Jesus told us to LOVE! i think that you guys are giving the church as a whole a bad rap because of this conversation, if we can't LOVE eachother how are we going to LOVE the world.

  • Atleast they don't live in the past, they're moving ahead with times. People want to see a living God, not a God of hte past, and also this song's amazing xD I personally think it's amazing a church is actually being open minded enough to play something that doesn't sound like it's a funeral there

  • Seriously people.. guitarsforeveryone took the time to go on every single northpoint video and put this bull crap on there.. Jesus sure as hell didnt put up with religious people, so why should we?!? this guy knows better, first of all, to criticize a church that has saved so many lives. whether he agrees with their beliefs or not is irrelevant. and besides. i'm not fingerpointing, i'm just telling guitarsforeveryone he should keep his mouth shut about northpoint. they're a great church. period

  • I agree with guitarsforeveryone completely

  • another idiot...

  • Why all the finger pointing? Worship is what you make it, as long as it brings glory to God. If you use your talents that God gave you, as long as you set a proper example of how a christian should act/talk why do you care? Plus, who said we're not allowed to have a concert? Stop ridiculing others and keep unhelpful stuff to yourself. If you think that the only way to worship is with just an organ (or whatever), then good for you, just don't finger point.

  • dear guitarsforeveryone,

you are an idiot. when is the last time your church had someone saved... better yet.. whens the last time you actually had a visitor?? .........thats all. thank you.

  • Idiot? Hmmm, well everyone has their opinions. Saved? Last week. Visitor? Every week. But again, church is not a competition or about showing off so I'm not sure what your point is.

  • are you kidding me? i think you miss the point of church entirely man.. go back and read a little.. haha.. northpoint rocks, 3000+ members in 5 years? and your telling me they're doing everything wrong?!?! hahaha cute..

  • What a shame that so many churches have let their worship teams become performance based instead of actually worshiping God. I was on a worship team for two years and I left because the music started becoming about the performance and how "cool" we sounded. I have my own band for that; don't need to show off at church.

  • NPC praise band provides awesome praise and worship time. This was a Christmas special. It was great.

  • One time deal, fine, but I doubt it. So many churches are trying to put on a show to get more ppl in the door (and I get why), but there's a fine line between putting on a worship service and getting lost in performance.

  • I love NPCC! God has given this church a wonderful way of showing Him through them! We don't have to have the effects, but if God gives us the budget and means, why not? And if it draws ppl in so they can hear a wonderful msg, why not? Churches use food to get ppl to come, what's the difference? It's not showing off to ppl, but showing God what we can do to praise Him! "Make a joyful noise"!

  • Good; sounds like you've found a home for your faith. The original comment was toward the idea of churches getting lost in performance and losing the point of the service. If the parishioners are being spiritually feed, great, but it's a slippery slope and one that can lead good worship teams down the wrong path (seen it and have fallen victim to it).

  • I go there and this was really really neat

  • Not to brag, but the guitar player just to the left of center and the 1st one they show up close (even if it is dark) is our 2nd oldest son! Pretty darn cool!! ;)

  • This was awesome live!!

  • huh?
