I played football for Upland back in 1978 and I wish we would of had this back then! I now live in Dallas/Fort Worth area and my youngest son plays for Euless Trinity High School. The Haka is great! Euless Trinity 5A Texas State Champs 3 of the last five years. Keep it up Highlanders keep it up!

I played football for Upland back in 1978 and I wish we would of had this back then! I now live in Dallas/Fort Worth area and my youngest son plays for Euless Trinity High School. The Haka is great! Euless Trinity 5A Texas State Champs 3 of the last five years. Keep it up Highlanders keep it up!

This is shocking. The true Maori Haka is something steeped in tradition & honor, as are all polynesian war chants. It is something that should be highly respected & the right to perform it is earned, not just taken. What is being performed here is a terrible fusion of the Maori Haka & the Tongan Sipi Tau, done incredably badly & at stupidly high speed. It is supposed to be intimidating, but it looks rushed & like they want to get it out of the way quickly.

@vhamp Duly noted, but being kids is no excuse really. Their parents/coaches/teachers should've taken the necessary steps to get things like this right. But I wholeheartedly agree that they need to be educated; yet it's hard for me to do since I live on the other side of the world lol. Using social networking tools like Youtube is a way of letting them know that they are doing things wrongly, so hopefully this young one is reading this.

Try rugby, aussie rules, shinty, proper football, Gaelic football, hockey...all much better than and less boring than this waste of time sport. @CommanderAgeon No, it's not. The hits might sound better, but that's padding hitting padding. If it were a real sport, they wouldn't need the padding (yeah, I know, I listed hockey, hockey players wear padding...different reasons for it, not related to being a pansified sport). If you tried any of those sports listed, and didn't have your precious padding to rely on, you'd be bloodied and bruised in minutes. Rugby is twice the sport, and far more violent, than football ever could be.

And, baseball is the hardest (I wanna see you hit a 73mm diameter, with a 3 in. wide stick, going at you at approx. 85-90mph, and the ball going up, down, and sideways). And the reason rugby players don't use padding, is because they don't need it. They're HUGGING! While you guys hug, why don't you give each others dick a good job.
